CHAPTER 15

Samara

When Lia and I got back, the stage was already prepared. We went back to our seats and sat properly. The whole auditorium is full of whispers because of students chatting. Mrs. Phonory scoffed to catch all of the students' attention. We looked to the front silently.

"The pot ceremony is about to begin. Let us call on our school supreme student council president Prince Karine Monorick Bloodtear to explain the five groups. He will also explain how will the new system of groupings work," Mrs. Phonory said.

Karine got up from his seat and walked to the front. He eyed all of the students and waved his hands. Some girls shouted, "Go Prince Karine!" which made Mrs. Phonory scold them.

"A pleasant morning to all. For this year's grouping system, the top five of the previous year's student ranking will be the leader of each team while the next six to ten students of the overall tertiary ranking will be the assistant leaders. There are also changes on the tags students will use and also, our dorm systems. Those who have the same group will be dormmates. You can't choose vampires or other creatures to be dormmates with if they are from the other group. That will be the changes for this year," Karine explained.

"Damn it! What if we are not groupmates? I want to be your neighbor!" Lia said.

That also made me think. Some girls can make fun of me because I am far from the royalties. I might get bullied by other girls, especially those who are royalties. But I should not be afraid, I am tough. Also, there are rules in this school. I can tell the dean what bad things they are doing.

"The new groups will be venomous, wrath, claw, fang, and rage. That will be the five groups and all of the members will change their own uniforms. Each group will have its color. Please read the text I will post on the monitor," Karine explained.

Venomous - Green

Wrath - Red

Claw - Violet

Fang - Yellow

Rage - Blue

"The pot ceremony will be fair. All of the names and result that will be shown is according to your will and blood. Some of the categories each that we're finding are:

Venomous - Resilient, undercover, manipulative

Wrath - Powerful, tactician

Claw - Adventurous, intelligent, tough

Fang - Fast, outrageous, incredible skills

Rage - strategist, rookie, resilient

If you think you have the qualifications of any of the five groups, then maybe you belong to that specific group. Let us start the pot ceremony. May we call on the first top-five of the last school year," Karine announced.

Lia and Chrollo stood up. They walked to the front and made a line. Chrollo came first and cut his hand. He dropped his blood into the magic pot and seconds later, a red smoke appeared and the word Wrath formed.

"Congratulations to Prince Chrollo, you are the leader of Wrath!" Mrs. Phonory announced.

The next one is Qeen, the man who tried to talk to me earlier. He did the same thing like what Chrollo did. The green smoke appeared and the word Venomous emerged.

We clapped our hands. The next one will be Karine. He also cut his hand and let his blood drop to the pot.

A yellow smoke appeared and the word Fang emerged. We clapped our hands and let the next person take the ceremony.

The next one is Prince Rome Howland. He belonged to Rage and Lia belonged to the group of Claw. I wish that my group will be Claw.

The next five to six of the ranking got up to the stage. When my eyes and Princess Sapphires met, she rolled her eyes at me. I let out a deep sigh. She will surely be a pain in my ass.

The pot ceremony for the assistant leaders ended. The final pairs of leaders and assistant leaders were:

That was the final list posted. Princess Sapphire looks irritated because she is not with Chrollo. Lia looks happy with her group. I am also happy for her.

The next thing that happened, each student were called by their names and their original kingdom from where they belong. I felt nervous, I don't know why. Please, I need to be with Karine or Lia, not with Chrollo and Princess Sapphire. Chrollo will be the end of me and Princess Sapphire will make me jailed.

"Calling on Samara Ivy Saxon, 18 years old. Kingdom, unknown. Please proceed to the stage to take your ceremony," Mrs. Phonory said.

I got up from my seat and all eyes were on me. Lia smiled at me but I awkwardly smile back at her. Many vampires looking at me know my story of how did I get here. I got up to the stage and looked at everyone.

Some were whispering, some were looking at me intensely, and some don't mind me at all. I grabbed the knife and cut my palm.

I dropped my blood on the pot and grabbed a tissue. When I looked at the audience, some of the vampires' eyes turned red. That made me shiver and tap the table. Please show the result now, I need to get away from here.

"Congratulations, Ms. Saxon! You belong to the Claw!" Mrs. Phonory announced.

Yes! My leader will be Lia! A smile flashed on my lips and ran to Lia who is now sitting at an empty section with some other vampires. I sat beside her and on her other side was the prince which I forgot the name. He is our group's assistant leader.

"I am so happy! You are my groupmate! We should celebrate this later," Lia said.

"How can we celebrate if we can't go out?" I asked. "And it is not a big deal. Don't worry about it."

"Nah, I still want to. There are shops inside the school and later, we should have a movie marathon. The start of real classes will be on the other day. We still have two days to get to know each other with our new groupmates. More will come to our group. Luckily, my assistant leader is not Sapphire," Lia whispered.

We looked at the front and another vampire's result is Claw. She immediately sat at the back of our row.

"Hey beautiful, I am Prince Sheen Anderson Voltuse. Call me Sheen or baby," Prince Sheen introduced himself to me. "Samara Ivy Voltuse sounds good. Do you want to marry me?"

My jaw dropped because of what he said. Lia pinched Prince Sheen's arm because of what she also heard. I almost jumped when Chrollo suddenly appeared in our front.

"Stop messing with her, Sheen. Don't ever lay your hands on her and Lia. I will snap your neck and pull out all of your bones," Chrollo warned Prince Sheen.

"Yeah, I won't, dude. Calm your ass down. Stop being like that. You will make all the vampires shiver. Luckily, I am your friend," Prince Sheen said and winked at Chrollo.

Chrollo let out a deep sigh before disappearing. Prince Sheen looked at me and wiggled his eyebrows. That made my eyebrows crease.

"Is Chrollo your boyfriend? Did he fall for you that instantly? That might be true love. I can't believe that asshole can fall in love," Prince Sheen asked.

"Oh, no. He is not my boyfriend nor suitor. We didn't fall for each other, we hate each other so much. Don't ever think about us being a couple," I answered.

"Oh, is that true? So there is a chance that you can be my wife?" he asked playfully.

"Stop that, Sheen. You don't have a chance. My brothers will gate her so f**k off. And also, stop being a playboy. You are making us cringe," Lia said that made Prince Sheen laugh.

Prince Sheen is also a handsome vampire. He also has this well-toned body but his eyes are a bit bigger than Chrollos. His eyes looks Arabic while his whole face looks European.

The pot ceremony ended and it is almost 4:30 pm. Teachers were assigned to each group to tour us to our new dorms.

We went to the back of the school and walked to the violet house not far from here. It looks like an ordinary two-story house, a rest house. It looks fresh and alive.

We got inside when we reached the front. My jaw dropped because it looks bigger inside than what we see on the outside.

"In this house, you will not have a key. Your hand will be the only key to enter your room. The doorknob will open if it is your hand. Go and explore your new dorm house, Claw members. Enjoy the rest of your school year," Ms. Jacobs announced and leave our dorm house.

"Let's go up, Samara!" Lia then took my hand to help me go upstairs. "Oh, I forgot. For the boys, you will stay in the right section rooms and for the girls, you will stay in the left section. Please obey my orders. We will talk about the rules later."

Lia looked authoritative when talking to others using her normal tone and cold look. But when it comes to me, her friends, and her family, she looks cheerful and lively. Well, maybe it is her nature.

Lia and I chose our room. Lia's room is just beside mine. We have 75 members in total. We can fit in this big dorm house. It also has a basement for group meetings. It almost looks like a mall in my world. Big enough for all of us.

My room is not as big as what I have on the Bloodtear family's castle but this is cozy enough. It is violet and has all the furniture I need. A study table, a bed, my comfort room, my own cabinet, and a window.

I sat on the bed and changed my clothes. Before choosing the clothes I will wear, Lia then announced something through the speaker inside my room. For sure, all rooms have speakers.

"For all of the Claw Family members, please wear a comfortable training outfit. I will designate today the Upper groups and Lower groups from A to C. I will wait for you outside of the dorm house. Please be outside after 10 minutes," she announced.

I wore a leggings and fitted dry-fit pink shirt. I also wore comfortable shoes and socks. Looks like there are clothes for us. The tuition fee in here is really expensive like what I thought at first. Even your own clothes, the school will provide them. All clothes have the school logo and your group logo.

After changing my clothes, I got out of my room and walked outside. I saw Lia with some of our groupmates. She smiled at me when she saw me.

"This way, Samara!" she shouted.

I ran towards her and sat beside her. The first two that will fight are boys. Rank 11 who is also a prince and Prince Sheen.

"This will be intense, watch closely. These two are surely wholesome to watch. They have this hate towards each other but don't worry, they will not kill each other. The goal of this match is to know what level will you belong to in our group. The power that will be assessed is the normal strength and no vampire abilities involved. There is a meter that can determine what level you belong to and will alert you if you use your vampire strength. You can excel here, Samara. Show the bitches what you got. Also, Chrollo's group is on the other side. I saw my brother looking at you earlier and that wolf princess who is her assistant leader. That girl is also nuts. A secret admirer of my brother," Lia whispered to me.

I looked in Chrollo's direction and our eyes met. When I looked at the princess beside her, her eyes turned yellow while looking at me. So wolves also exist in this world. Gosh, there are many creatures other than them. I will read books later before I sleep. Hope there are books here about the basics that will help me.

"Let the battle begin!" Lia shouted and hit the gong beside us. I covered my ears because of the sound. It creeps down into my eardrums!
