Priya was about to say something when Latika suddenly looked at Aryan and said, "Aryan, that is your name, right? The eldest young master of the Singh Family. I have heard quite a lot about you. I heard that you cannot cultivate and that you have no talent at all. You are only a little clever, that's all. Aren't you ashamed of yourself for standing in Priya's way? She is a talented cultivator, and because of you she cannot move forward. You should be ashamed. Don't you think she deserves better than someone like you? A place like Sunrise Academy is the best choice for her." Hearing this, Aaliya narrowed her eyes and looked at Latika. "You were talking to Priya, so I didn't interrupt you. But now that she doesn't want to agree to your demands, you're emotionally pressuring her while claiming to be a disciple of Sunrise Academy. Is this how your academy operates? By forcing people and pressuring their companions?" Latika's face darkened. She finally realized that the person in front of her was mocking both her behavior and her academy. She had a reputation and talent, and her academy had earned its honor through great effort. If word spread that she had tried to recruit Priya by using Aryan, it would be extremely embarrassing. When Aryan spoke these words, even the elderly man standing beside her became uneasy. He was a respected elder, and their academy was prestigious. If one of their disciples was openly trying to pressure two young people in front of him and he did nothing, it would reflect badly on him as well. The old man sighed and said, "Young Master Aryan, I have heard much about your family and your mother. Please forgive me. I failed to educate my disciple properly, and because of that she acted inappropriately. I know her words were unsuitable and should not have been spoken in front of you. Please forgive her." Aryan calmly replied, "I am not saying whether your disciple was right or wrong, nor whether your academy is good or bad. I have no interest in such matters. I have never considered joining your academy, and neither have the disciples of my family. I only want to say one thing: whether Priya joins your academy or not is her personal decision. If she wants to go, she can go. If she does not want to go, she will not. I will neither force her to leave nor force her to stay. The choice belongs to her alone." The elder felt somewhat ashamed. Aryan's words clearly meant that while others might force people, he never would. Latika, however, stared at Aryan with an unpleasant expression. She was a princess. When had she ever suffered such humiliation? Grinding her teeth, she declared, "Aryan, don't go too far. Let me tell you, my father is the King of Star City." Aryan looked at her and said, "I have heard that the princess of Star City joined Sunrise Academy and is extremely arrogant. Today I finally witnessed that arrogance myself. Let me tell you something: there will always be people stronger than you. This world is full of hidden dragons and crouching phoenixes. Any dragon or phoenix can be slain because there is always a higher mountain beyond every mountain." Latika fell silent for a moment. Meanwhile, sweat appeared on the old man's forehead. He sensed a hidden threat in Aryan's words. After all, Aryan's mother, Shyam, was rumored to be an extremely terrifying phoenix. The elder interpreted Aryan's statement as saying that the king Latika relied upon could be killed by Aryan's mother with a single slap. "Please, Young Master Aryan, there is no need to escalate things," the old man hurriedly said. Aryan was puzzled. He had merely stated a universal truth—that there is always someone stronger. The reality was that Aryan barely knew anything about his mother. She had disappeared shortly after his birth. He didn't even know what she looked like now. He only possessed an old photograph from seventeen years ago. Looking back at the elder, Aryan said, "Elder, I never threatened your disciple. She is the one who keeps inviting trouble." Latika remained quiet. She had heard from the elder that Aryan's mother was no ordinary person. Turning toward Priya, she said, "Miss Priya, I don't know what you're thinking, but remember this: only a great academy can truly help you grow. You need resources. How can the Singh Family provide enough resources for your development?" Aryan's gaze immediately turned cold. "Princess Latika, watch your words. If you insult the Singh Family again, this will become a matter of life and death." Latika inhaled deeply and said, "Did I say anything wrong? Are your resources truly enough for Priya's cultivation?" Aryan laughed. "If you had said that before, perhaps I would have agreed. But now I possess enough resources for Priya to cultivate comfortably for two hundred years. She has no need for your academy." Latika was stunned. She knew Aryan had recently acquired many resources, but enough for two hundred years? That sounded absurd. After some thought, she remembered Aryan's mysterious mother and assumed that his confidence came from her support. Jealousy filled her heart. She was a princess, yet she lacked such a powerful protector. Finally she clenched her teeth and said, "Fine. If Miss Priya doesn't want to come, I won't force her. I apologize for wasting your valuable time." With that, she and the elder departed. After they left, Priya asked, "Could you defeat that old man?" Aryan nodded. "Very easily." "Then why didn't you kill him?" Priya asked. "No one would have known. People like that might return for revenge later." Aryan smiled. "I didn't sense any ill intentions from him. He only wanted a cultivator as talented as you. After all, you're extremely powerful." Priya's face instantly turned red. "You... you're teasing me." Aryan stepped closer, wrapped an arm around her waist, and said with a grin, "Yes, I am teasing you. What are you going to do about it?" Priya blushed even harder. She tried to resist, but then a thought crossed her mind: what if one day they were forced to separate? Her heart began pounding. She closed her eyes and hugged Aryan tightly. Aryan froze in surprise. He had only been joking. He never expected such a reaction. Just then, a voice suddenly rang out: "Shameless! Don't you have any shame? Teasing a girl in broad daylight!" Aryan and Priya quickly separated. Looking over, Aryan saw Latika again and frowned. "Do you want a beating?" Latika's face darkened. "You shameless scoundrel! You toy with girls' feelings!" Aryan merely stared at her, then pulled Priya close by the waist again. Priya was shocked but did not resist. Latika's face turned even redder with anger. She was about to rush forward, but the elder stopped her. "State the reason we came back," he reminded her. Latika glared at Aryan. "I don't know what my Sect Leader sees in you, but he gave us an invitation letter and ordered that it be delivered personally to you." Aryan was surprised. "Your Sect Leader? Why would he send me a letter?" "I'd like to know that too," Latika muttered. "Why would someone important waste their time on a useless and shameless person like you?" Aryan's face darkened. He turned to Priya. "Go slap her properly." Priya blinked in surprise. "You want me to?" Aaliya smirked. "What? You're not going to do it?" "No, I will." Before Latika could react, Priya attacked. The elder immediately moved to intervene, but Aryan stared at him coldly. "If you interfere, I'll complain to your Sect Leader after meeting him." The old man was speechless. He stepped toward Aryan and said, "Young Master, is this really necessary? Latika is my disciple, but she is also the personal disciple of Elder Rohini. If Elder Rohini learns about this, she will surely seek revenge. She is a very strict woman." Aryan asked calmly, "What is her cultivation realm?" "She recently became an elder in our sect. She should be in the Saint Realm." "That's fine," Aryan replied. "I'll handle it." The elder was stunned. How exactly was someone who supposedly couldn't cultivate planning to deal with a Saint Realm expert? Meanwhile, Aryan was thinking: I already have the invitation. I'll remain here for at least two more months. By then, I should reach the Great King Realm. Perhaps I won't even need to leave immediately. I can wait until I reach the Ancient King Realm before visiting them. Looking at the invitation letter, Aryan asked, "Did your Sect Leader specify a time?" The elder shook his head. "He said you may come whenever you wish. Simply present the letter." "Then tell him I'll need at least two or three months. After we leave this place, I'll visit him a few months later." The elder nodded. Then Aryan glanced toward Latika and noticed that she was in miserable condition, while Priya still looked relatively unharmed. At that moment, Aryan finally realized that Priya's strength was far from weak. He called her back. "That's enough, Priya." Priya immediately returned to his side. Aryan then looked at Latika and said coldly: "Keep your arrogance in your pocket. And don't speak such arrogant words again."
