Seeing Latika's face, Aryan said,
"As I told you before, don't jump around too much. There is always someone stronger than you."
Latika glared at him and replied,
"It wasn't you. It was Priya who fought me."
Aryan smiled and said,
"Do you really think there's any difference between me and Priya?"
Latika glared at him again and said,
"Act as arrogant as you want. But when you come to my sect, I'll deal with you properly."
Priya laughed and said,
"First, look at your face in a mirror. You'll realize how funny you look right now. Aryan, look at her face. You've even given her a black eye."
Latika's face darkened with anger. She pointed at Aryan and said,
"Aryan, come to my sect just once."
With those words, she left. The old man followed behind her helplessly.
After they were gone, Priya grabbed Aryan's sleeve and said,
"How could you do that, Big Brother Aryan? You shouldn't treat a girl like that."
Aryan replied,
"Alright, alright, I apologize. But you can see how arrogant she was."
Priya answered,
"She's a princess. A little pride is normal."
Aryan smiled.
"Then why aren't you arrogant? You're also a princess—my family's princess."
Priya's face immediately turned red.
"Y-You have become very good at saying sweet things."
She lowered her head shyly.
Aryan stopped laughing and became serious.
"If I hadn't taught her a lesson today, she would have started climbing over our heads tomorrow. Sometimes people need to be taught a proper lesson. I may have looked like I was joking, but the truth is that I wanted that girl to provoke us so she could learn something."
Only then did Priya understand what Aryan had been thinking.
Aryan took her hand.
"Come on. Let's move forward."
He took out a talisman and crushed it.
From afar, Latika noticed and asked,
"What is that?"
Aryan answered while walking away,
"A teleportation talisman."
The old man was shocked as well.
The next moment, Aryan and Priya vanished from before their eyes.
The sight was extremely strange to them.
The old man muttered,
"Just as I thought. That woman is still supporting Aryan. Otherwise, he wouldn't waste such a powerful talisman so casually. He must have more of them."
Latika was also stunned.
In her family, such a talisman would be considered a priceless treasure kept for self-defense. It was a life-saving treasure capable of saving someone's life at a critical moment. Nobody would waste such an item casually.
Latika couldn't even imagine its value. Anyone who understood its worth would be willing to trade immense treasures for it.
Meanwhile, Aryan and Priya arrived outside some ancient ruins.
Priya asked,
"Why did you waste a teleportation talisman?"
Aryan replied,
"I didn't want those people to keep following us."
Only then did Priya understand. She had already noticed that Latika and the old man had been trailing them for quite some time.
Suddenly, Priya thought of something.
"Wait. What do you mean by 'keep following us'? Are you still upset because they interrupted us earlier?"
Aryan answered,
"Opportunities like that don't come often. We rarely get to be that close, and I don't get into that kind of mood very often either. So tell me, why shouldn't I be annoyed when someone ruins such a good moment?"
Hearing that, Priya felt secretly happy.
That moment had been special for her too. When Aryan had held her, she had felt an overwhelming sense of safety, stronger than anything she had ever experienced before.
Still, she didn't admit it.
Instead, she said,
"All boys are the same."
Aryan looked completely bewildered.
"What nonsense are you talking about, little girl? You're the one who keeps following me everywhere."
Priya blushed.
"That's not true! I only follow you so nobody can bother you."
Aryan laughed.
"Oh really? But you know I'm the strongest person around."
Priya couldn't answer that and turned her head away.
Seeing this, Aryan said,
"If you keep ignoring me like this, I won't talk to you."
Priya pouted and grabbed his hand.
"Why do you always do this? Do you enjoy teasing me?"
Aryan replied,
"No. I just like it when you speak honestly from your heart."
Those words made Priya happy.
Then Aryan said,
"Let's explore the ruins. Although if you want, I can hug you again."
Before Priya could respond, he wrapped an arm around her waist and rushed inside.
Priya didn't resist. She simply placed her arm around him.
The two continued deeper into the ruins.
After some time, they reached the interior.
Aryan noticed a group of people gathered ahead.
Looking closely, he realized they weren't Vikas and the others. These people wore black clothes and concealed their faces.
Aryan immediately thought:
Dark Clan—the assassin organization.
The assassins noticed him as well.
One of them spoke.
"What a surprise. Young Master Aryan of the Singh Family."
Aryan looked toward the speaker and realized it was a woman.
Activating his Golden Eyes, he saw that she was incredibly beautiful—only slightly less beautiful than Priya.
Smiling, Aryan said,
"I'm equally surprised to find Maya, the beloved daughter of the leader of the assassin clan, here in these ruins."
Maya was startled beneath her veil.
She couldn't understand how Aryan had identified her. They had never met before.
Looking at him cautiously, she asked,
"How did you know I was Maya?"
Aryan grinned.
"I didn't know. I simply guessed, and you confirmed it yourself."
Maya was shocked.
According to the information she possessed, Aryan was supposed to be weak and incapable of cultivation.
But the young man standing before her radiated confidence.
He showed no weakness whatsoever.
Her assassin instincts warned her that this man could kill her.
Yet she couldn't understand why.
His aura contained no cultivation power. He appeared completely mortal.
So where was this sense of danger coming from?
Smiling, Maya said,
"Young Master Aryan, I don't believe there has ever been any hostility between us."
Aryan nodded.
"That's true. But you're forgetting something."
"What is that?"
"For an assassin, personal relationships mean nothing. An assassin is a weapon. Given the right price, that weapon can even kill its allies. That's the rule of the assassin world. So how can I trust the princess of assassins?"
Maya was stunned.
Aryan continued,
"Assassins are known for killing, not friendship. Given enough payment, even friendships can be destroyed."
Maya was amazed.
This young man seemed to understand assassins better than many assassins themselves.
She replied,
"You seem to have studied assassins carefully."
Aryan shrugged.
"There's nothing to study. An assassin's job is to kill. Anyone with a little intelligence can understand that."
Then he added,
"If a lion can't find a goat, will it start eating grass? Likewise, if an assassin doesn't kill, what else will they do?"
Maya found herself agreeing.
Aryan's logic was difficult to refute.
She asked,
"It seems you're quite intelligent, Young Master Aryan."
Aryan smiled.
"That depends on who's judging. Intelligent people see intelligence. Fools see foolishness. People always look down on others—that's one of life's simplest truths."
Maya was left speechless.
Changing the subject, she asked,
"If you can't cultivate, why are you here?"
Aryan glanced at Priya.
"Can't you see the beautiful girl standing beside me?"
Maya laughed.
"Don't you think calling another woman beautiful in front of a beautiful woman could make her angry?"
Aryan replied,
"How would I know whether you're beautiful or not when you've hidden your face?"
The assassins behind Maya nearly fainted.
Nobody dared speak to her like that.
Despite her playful appearance, Maya was known to be extremely dangerous.
Yet instead of getting angry, she said,
"Then let me show you."
She removed her veil.
Turning toward Aryan, she asked,
"What do you think?"
Aryan looked at her carefully.
"Exquisitely beautiful. I must say, it seems the heavens don't offer sacrifices to goddesses without reason."
Maya didn't fully understand the expression.
Aryan continued,
"It truly seems that the assassin world has stolen the beauty of all eight kingdoms."
A beautiful smile appeared on Maya's lips.
For the first time, she looked at him with genuine admiration.
Putting her veil back on, she said,
"I should tell you that you're only the second man to see my face. The first is my father."
Aryan smiled.
"Then I must be extremely fortunate."
Maya laughed.
"So tell me, why are you here?"
Aryan looked toward Priya.
"I'm here for my fiancée."
Priya's face instantly turned red.
She tightened her grip on Aryan's hand.
Maya found it amusing.
"I'm surprised. You're praising another woman's beauty in front of your fiancée, and she isn't jealous."
Aryan replied,
"Why would she be? Beauty exists to be appreciated. If beauty is never admired, then what's the point of possessing it, only to hide it behind cloth until old age takes it away?"
Maya fell silent.
Looking into Aryan's eyes, she saw no lust or impure thoughts.
He was simply offering sincere admiration for beauty.
