We've been driving for two hours now and from being tossed around, I have a terrible urge to throw up. I can't wait for the ride to end. Finally, we reach Pitalito. The streets are full of people. The city has much less charm than Bogota, without a doubt, but there’s incredible excitement. I’m relieved that we’re finally reaching our goal. Yet, Adam is still driving and we’re getting out of town. “We weren't going to Pitalito?” I ask him, surprised. “A little further. In the direction of San Jose.” I sigh inwardly. Still more road… and we go deeper into the forest. The clock is ticking and I'm starting to worry. I might miss the narcos meeting at Aguabonita camp and probably my only chance to find Allen. My plan is uncertain enough that we don’t need to add the problem of time.
