Wes and I exit the office and meander to our room. I consider our time together, and we have not had a conventional mating. Since becoming my mate, he has survived my kidnapping and then had to watch while I was challenged. I don’t believe you recognize how difficult that is for a male wolf. The male wolf's solitary purpose is to guarantee the safety and well-being of his mate. But, unfortunately, he didn’t ask for this, and now he is stuck with no way out.
I peek at my wolfman and notice he is staring back at me.
“What is going on in your pretty little head, Luna,” he inquires.
“I was thinking how hard all this must be for you and Zephyr. First having me kidnapped and then seeing the Beta challenge me.” I responded.
