Third POV Maria turned back to Kyan just in time to see his eyes snap open. Her gasp echoed Zara’s when she saw that instead of their usual vibrant green, his eyes were completely black—void of any white or color, just an endless, terrifying blackness. “No!” Maria screamed, stumbling backward in shock. “What’s happening?” Penelope rushed forward, her own eyes wide with fear and confusion. “This isn’t right,” she muttered, her voice trembling. “Something’s gone wrong.” Alpha Kyan’s body began to convulse, his muscles spasming uncontrollably.
