Third POV
Alpha Kyan stood at the edge of his territory, the wind rustling through the trees, his mind a storm of conflicting thoughts. The recent events had left him restless, and the mystery of Clarice’s poisoning gnawed at him like an itch he couldn’t scratch. There was no way Clarice could have gotten in contact with wolfsbane in the dungeon. It simply didn’t add up, and his instincts told him that she was being used as a scapegoat.
The more he thought about it, the more he realized that the presence of wolfsbane within the pack was a sign of a deeper, more sinister plot. He needed to act fast, but he also needed to be smart about it. Clarice’s life was in danger, and he had to protect her while unraveling this mystery.
