CHAPTER THIRTY ONE All night long, sleep seemed to elude me. As I lay on Leon’s chest, listening to his steady breathing, all I could worry about was Theo. Would he get to the family before my enemy was tipped off? Would he be able to get them to safety on time and if so, could his friend be trusted to keep them safe as well? So many unanswered questions and my anxiety was growing even deeper in my bones.   I stepped off the bed, crossing my arms as the cold chills of the night embraced my body. Pacing about, I prayed to the gods that they may protect Theo and that unfortunate family.
