CHAPTER THIRTY ONE
All night long, sleep seemed to elude me. As I lay on Leon’s chest, listening to his steady breathing, all I could worry about was Theo. Would he get to the family before my enemy was tipped off? Would he be able to get them to safety on time and if so, could his friend be trusted to keep them safe as well? So many unanswered questions and my anxiety was growing even deeper in my bones.
