CHAPTER FIFTY
Nothing made sense to me as I sprinted across the room to where that bastard seemed to have frozen, along with everybody else. None of them had anticipated this move and not even the repercussions of it mattered to me as I aimed for Fabian’s heart.
“Elizabeth,” Theo cried out just as I was about to drive the sword in Fabian’s heart.
He attempted to grab my arms, making my aim a tad bit sidetracked. So instead of the sword going into his heart, it went into the right side of his stomach as Theo pushed me to the ground. For a full minute, silence ruled around me only to be shattered by Lord Akas.
