Chapter 21

It's moving day, I lay in bed curled up into Nick. Melody is rolling around with excitement yet I'm a bag of nerves. I get out of bed and head for the tree line where I change into my wolf as I shake out my red fur I realise that I'm no longer all red I have a black heart shape on my neck. It's Nick's mark on me, I run free through the forest to the clearing at the top of the waterfall. I sit and just listen  feeling the breeze blowing through my fun. 

I think back over the last encounter I had with the fairy what trouble could arise? I sit for a while longer when I smell a familiar scent Nick is coming. I turn just in time to see his black head emerge from the tree line and I can't help but notice his mark.  It fills me with so many emotions with melody in control she runs over to him and rubs heads with him he comes and he walks over to come sits alongside me 

“Are you ready for today?” he asks through our link.

“Ye i am, I'm just really going to miss this place” 

“It's not goodbye forever, it's a see you soon, we can come back anytime” he reminds me of the speech I gave the other night at the ceremony. 

Melody and I are conflicted as to whether we should tell Nick of the fairies warning. But without me saying a word. 

“You look like you are in conflict with something spill” he says nudging me with his nose. 

I look at him and turn my head trying to look adorable but in my wolf I'm sure I look ridiculous. “Nothings the matter”. 

“You can't lie to me my love. I feel it in you” he whispers.

“Just everything seems too easy. I mean the rogue king has been taken down but what about the others who were following him? His Luna? The Vampires?” 

“Where is all of this coming from?” he asks concerned 

I sigh and know I have to tell him so I run to the tree line and change back to my human form grabbing a long white t-shirt I keep out here for emergency transformations. I walk back over scratching Nick behind his ear. He really likes that as his tongue falls out the side of his mouth and he rolls over showing his belly I give it a scratch and laugh. “Have you quite finished?” i say jokingly. 

“Oh ye sorry I'm focused” he says through the link  

“Well remember I told you about the fairy on the night of my 18th birthday?” He nods “well I saw her again and she said how proud the moon goddess was but she also said that there was trouble ahead and we have to be strong”.

“And we will be, let's not  worry about the trouble until it arises. Let just live in the moment” he says pushing his head into my hand again so I can scratch behind his ear. 

“You are so soppy,” I say laughing. 

“Before we leave I need to call to my college. I haven't been there in weeks, guess I should go clear it up and get the couple of bits I have there”. 

“I will come with. I just need to change back”.Nick runs to the tree and turns back to his human form. We walk to my car and I grab a pair of yoga pants before the drive to college. We get out and I head to the main reception. “Is principal Dean around please” I ask 

“Yes he is, I will get him for you now one moment”. 

“Isla so good to see you,'' he says as he emerges from his office. 

Nick and I both stand “Nick it's okay wait here, I won't be long” I say giving him a big smile he gives my hand a squeeze. I walk into the principal's office. “Keep your link open. I want to hear everything” Nick blerts through our link. 

“Take a seat” principal dean says, gesturing to the chair opposite his desk. 

“Thank you”. I take a deep breath 

“Isla you don't have to say a word your mother rang told us about the incident and no sooner had we removed him other girls from the athletics team came forward to say they had similar encounters”. 

“I knew I should have killed him,'' I hear through the pack link. I ignore Nick and continue. 

“Yes my mother had mentioned you removed him for the college”. 

“So I guess you are wanting to come back?” 

“Well actually no my pack and I are moving to the old country” I say 

“Wait he's a wolf?” Nick interrupts again. 

“Yes Nick let me finish”. I scold through our link.

“I assume the young man outside is your mate”. Principal dean says with a smile. 

“Yes he is” I say with a grin.

“Call him in” principal Dean says.

And no sooner had he said the words Nick walked through the door. 

“Seems a bit silly to keep that link open you will only get a headache” he smiles, “I'm Principal Dean from the harvest moon pack” shaking Nick's hand. 

“Nicholas Sinclare, Alpha of the moon water pack”.

“As I was saying we are moving back to the old country so I wont be able to finish out the year. Plus being pack Alpha I have a lot more responsibility”. 

“Isla no need to say another word. I completely understand. You Mr Sinclare had better look after this one she is one of the good ones our packs have been close for years her mother is my sister after all” the principal adds. 

We all stand. I walk around the desk and wrap my arms around my uncle. “You can come visit whenever you want Uncle Dean,I know mum would like that” I say. 

“You take care and don't worry I will be over to visit soon enough”.  

With that we take our leave. 

“You could have told me he was your Uncle Isla” Nick scolds. 

I laugh as I hadn't even thought of it. “Well I would have, but to be honest your reaction to finding out he was a wolf was quite funny”. I look at my watch, oh goodness we best get a move on” I grab my things from my locker  “right let's go then” I say as we make our way out and back to the pack. As we get there everyone is ready and Van's are loaded with all the moving stuff. 

“Are we all ready?” I say making sure that we have everyone.

“Okay flights out we have 2 planes please stick together and it's a straight forward journey as we have private planes thanks to Nick's company. I will see you all when we land in our new home”. I turn to Nick “well like your Alpha has said let's go”. Nick takes my hand and leads me to our car. He insisted that he drive us so I can relax and enjoy the journey as he has done it anytime before. 

It seems like no time at all has passed and we are on the plane flying over oceans and mountains “it's so beautiful up here in the clouds” I mumble  

“Yes it is” I feel an arm reach around me and warmth invade my body. “It's not long now baby and we will be in our new home”. I can't contain my excitement. It's the first time I will have ever been to the old country. It has been my dream to bring the pack here. I'm just so glad the pack was happy with the decision or I could have been a tough time trying to please everyone . I sit the remainder of the flight curled into Nick and looking out of the window. At some point I must have drifted off. It was a 7 hour non-stop flight so who could blame me. I can hear Nick whispering to someone but can't quite make out what is being said. I stur and see the flight attendant isn't happy. “What's wrong?'' I ask Nick through our link. 

“Ow nothing just we are going to land soon and she couldn't tell if you had your belt on and she wanted to wake you”. He replies. 

He turns to the snooty woman. “As you can see she does have it on like I said she did”. She huffs and walks off to check everyone else. “Why didn't you just wake me I wouldn't have minded” I say looking up at him. “You shouldn't have to be woken, you have had a long day plus it's not easy moving your entire pack to a new country”. He says giving me a kiss on the top of my head  I feel him take in a deep breath inhaling my scent. I look him in the eyes and see they have darkened  

“Your thinking about what I said, aren't you?'' I say as I start to feel his emotions surging through me. 

“Once we have everyone settled in their new homes we are taking 2 days off no interruptions” I promise as he slides his hand to my upper thigh. 

“Now I like the sound of that,” he says, letting out a low growl. 

“Now until then keep your paws off” I say, swatting his hand off. If I didn't create a break in our contact I would have taken him right here and right now. His eyes start to lighten again. 

“Yes you are right, hands to myself” he laughs holding them up before placing them in his lap. I can't help but notice a significant bulge in his trousers  

Damn I can't wait to get all of him I think before realising he has heard everything as I forgot to block him from my thoughts. I let out a short nervous laugh as he tries to adjust himself discreetly. We touch down in our new home. The excitement fills the pack. It's like a dream come true.
