Layla, her pack's Luna, is wrongly accused of attempting to poison Seraphina, her Alpha's new mate. She is compelled to drink from the same cup she is suspected of poisoning in order to establish her innocence.

She died tragically while drinking from the cup. But death was only the beginning for Layla, who awoke in the body of another girl in a strange forest. She had been reborn. But whose body was she occupying?

What will she do with her newfound freedom? What will Alex's role be in her new life? Will she embark on a mission for vengeance against those who betrayed her, including her once-adored Alpha, in order to recover her rightful role as Luna?

Chapter 1
Chapter 1 Layla's Pov "Where are you taking me? I am the Luna of this pack! Jasper would not be very happy at the way you're treating me!" I am Layla, a werewolf. I am the Luna of theMoonhaven Pack and I had just been arrested from my room in the Alpha's mansion. I was brought some where I couldn't recognize because I had been blindfolded and although I couldn't see where I was, I had been there enough times to recognize the scent. "I know my sister. She's innocent. She didn't do it." "Then, let her drink from the cup to prove her innocence." I was blindfolded, but I could recognise the voices. One was Aiden, my brother, and the other was supposed to be the love of my life, the Alpha of the pack I belonged to. His name was Jasper but at that moment, he was my judge, jury and executioner. As someone removed the blindfold, I glanced around and I could confirm that this was no joke. I was really undergoing trial. "Layla, you tried to poison Seraphina out of jealousy but you were caught in the act by Echo, your maid" Jasper stared at me with cold eyes as he stated my "crimes". "You know that I didn't do it. Whomever cooked up this story is lying, I promise," I swore repeatedly an( begged, "Give me a chance to prove my innocence" "Very well then," Jasper responded and motioned to a guard who brought the cup they claimed was poisoned and handed it to me, "Drink!" I was horrified. The very cup they said was poisoned was what he wanted me to drink from to prove my innocence. I had always been the weakest of the pack. This poison, whatever it was, would kill me. I knew this, and whomever it was that conceived this scheme knew it as well. As I glanced around, I espied Seraphina who used to be my best friend, snickering and I knew who had set me up. Of course, it could have only been her. She had betrayed me before so what is one more? "Layla, drink it. Prove to them that you didn't do it. I know you didn't and I think it's sad that someone who claims to be your lover doesn't even know you well enough to know what you can do and what you can't." Aiden, my brother consoled. I was glad that at least one person believed in me. But it made no difference so I still had to drink from the cup. I brought the cup to my lips and emptied it's content in tears. Almost immediately, I felt numb all over and I drifted off. I was dying. I knew it. I kept silent and drifted off to eternal peace. Or so I thought... --- Jasper's Pov "Layla?" "She's dead. So, she actually tried to poison Seraphina" I was enraged and hurt. Layla didn't seem to be that kind of person. She couldn't even hurt a fly but as I glanced down at where she lay lifeless, I couldn't help my surprise but as Alpha, I quickly regained composure. "Take her body away and bury her in the wolvesbane field. Despite her crimes, she was still Luna of the Moonhaven pack until her death." I instructed the guards who set to work immediately. "You killed my sister! Both of you! Some husband you are, o mighty Alpha" Aiden was hysteric and he couldn't be blamed as he had just lost the only family he had left. Yes, both Layla and Aiden were orphans. Their parents were attacked by wolves from another pack and even though they fought hard, they ultimately couldn't fend off their attackers. Layla and Aiden have been together ever since, always looking out for each other. So it stood to reason that he'll be broken by the events that just transpired. "Aiden, I understand that you must be broken but you must recognize who it is you're talking to. You are second-in-command but I am the Alpha of Moonhaven. Know your place." I sternly reminded him of his position and mine. Sure enough, he seemed to have recognized his blunder as he left the trial grounds, still seething. "I have an announcement to make. In light of what has just happened, I am making Seraphina the new Luna of the Moonhaven Pack. She is carrying my child and quite possibly the next Alpha of this pack." I announced with barely subdued excitement. There were howls of celebration from the gathered members of the pack. The mood had lightened considerably and everyone seemed to be happy. I reached out and pulled Seraphina to my side, presenting her to the pack members as she smiled bashfully. I looked at my new Luna and then at the members of my pack and I thought to myself; nothing could possibly go wrong at this point. --- Layla's Pov "Ugh! My head... Everywhere hurts." I complained as I opened my eyes. I looked around and it was just pitch black. Slowly, my eyes started to adjust and there were just trees in every direction, as far as the eye could see. This didn't feel right. I couldn't recognize where I was. Neither the sights nor the scents were familiar and strangely, I had no memory of how I got there. All I could remember was getting married to Jasper, the Alpha of my pack. I looked round and I spotted a path between the trees. I took to the path and stayed on it. After walking for what felt like ages, I saw a town. I walked out of the woods and into the town, hoping to ask for directions back to my pack but then I noticed that the town was populated by werewolves, like me. I walked further into the town and I noticed that I was starting to garner attention. I did a one over on myself and I realized that this wasn't my body. The body was younger than mine, I touched my face and hair and they felt different. I looked around and saw the people staring back at me, and while some of them were quite elated, most of them were surprised. I decided to make myself scarce before something untoward happened. But just as I made up my mind, I saw them. "Iris?"
