My Two Fated Mates

Chapter 2

If you guessed that I am more than a vampire, then you guessed right. I have no idea what the other half of me really is, but for some reason, everyone can only scent me as a vampire. Why do I think that I am more than one species?

Simple.

I can hear others' thoughts willingly, I can block it out if needed. I can also sense when someone is being honest with me. I can also gain knowledge by holding a book. I can also see the future, but only vaguely and only when I sleep and dream something, but I can also block out my dreams. Anther weird thing is, I can wander with my essence or soul and travel but again only in my sleep and only when I want to, which isn't very often or not at all. I hate traveling with my spirit. I can also teleport, but I don't do it in the pack at all, Because anyone can see me, we always have patrols. I am also great at sensing vibes and someone's intentions without reading their minds. I can also levitate, but I haven't done it since I was 13 when I first found out I can. For some reason, I have been feeling a strange itch or shuddering feeling on my back. Only at certain times, though, but it doesn't last long. I notice it only feels that way when I am aggetitated or anxious or when I am angry.

My mom is also worried since I may have this other half of me that is u known, she's scared that I won't be able to scent my mate, which is ridiculous because I do have a strong vampire side. Like, come on, I am, after all, a royal decended, but no one has to know that. My mom was a royal princess from far south, but she ran from home due to her father trying to marry her off to a vampire lord. My dad knows who she is but loves her for who she is, not because of her bloodline.

So, I guess you can say I have 3 secrets that I am hiding from my pack. 1. I'm from Royal Bloodline. 2. I am half of something else. 3. I am very wealthy. That's it. that's the only secrets I have. If the pack were to find out my mom and siblings and I are of Royal decent then they'd call the Vampire king and out us and it is possible because of us being hybrids, the king will kill us and still, he'd marry my mother off after he forces her to reject our dad. As for me being a hybrid of whatever I may be... I can't tell them that because then they'll think I'm a danger to them all. Everyone is afraid of the unknown.

"Lena, I know it's your day off, but can you cover my shift for tonight? I forgot that I have a dental appointment in the city tomorrow, so I have to sleep early tonight to travel in the morning." Maddies mindlink came through to me while I was still in deep thought.

"Of course, I'll be there in a couple of hours. I have my keys anyway, and I'll open up myself. Will Mike be there too?" I asked. Another thing, werewolves and vampires can communicate through our minds whenever we can because we are one big pack.

"No, you'll be on your own for tonight, don't worry, I already have baked goods in front, I made them and their good a ready to be served this evening. Thanks so much, Lena. I owe you!" I tell her it's no problem right after we cut the link.

Maddie is a 38 year old werewolf who ones her own bakery/coffee shop in the business center in the middle of our pack territory alongside other small businesses like, a health clinic, and gas station, convience store, and gambling arena all in one area with their own separate buildings. Oh, and the pool room that consists of pool tables, a bar. There's also a small gift shop with flowershop a postal office. We usually have to travel to the nearby town which is an hour away by car, in order to get groceries, clothes, vehicle maintenance etc.

Maddies shop doesn't open until 9 pm to 5 am and I don't have to be there until 8:30 to get it ready. So, I have a couple of hours to play my game before I get going. I am also a gamer girl. I am currently playing GTA5 online on my ps5. I can't wait until GTA6 comes out. This game will keep me busy until I have to leave for work.

Before I got to play my game, I had to go and open the front door because someone was knocking. I roll my eyes, I can't catch a break, it's been a while since I could just relax and do my own thing, someone always has to barge in.. I open it to find my dad standing there. He was a big man with black short hair, dark brown eyes, and a stubble. His hair had some Grey's already.

"I hope you didn't forget that you gotta be at work with me tomorrow." My dad then continued without waiting for a reply, "We have to be there for 8:30 am, and the meetings start at 9 am. I am only taking you and Cruiz, so be ready by 6."

"Alright, dad." I nod my head. I haven't forgotten about us going with my dad. "Hey, dad?" He stopped and turned back to me before walking out, I smiled and said, "I'm driving tomorrow."

He raised his brow and said, "If you can beat Cruiz to the drivers seat in the morning."

I grinned. "Alright."

My dad smirked and walked to his side by side and left. He knew I could beat my younger brother, even though we lived 15 minutes away from each other. He also finds it hilarious when my siblings and I bicker or challenge each other. My mom, however, is always set on following the rules and wishes us to be proper ladies and gentlemen... The only 2 that are a proper lady and gentleman in our family would be Jenni and Logan, the two youngest of the girls and boys. My sister is a girly girl, doesn't like getting her hands dirty, and is a bit selfish at times but when it comes down to being there for the family, she comes in hot and ready, she can have a mouth on her whenever she wants. My brother Cruiz and I are very competitive. We are the two that have many different skills and talents. Here's where we are different, I am not a people person, he is. My brother Zane is the stubborn one. Once he's had his mind set on something, he won't let go. Some say he's determined young man, Cruiz, and I say he's stubborn. Logan, the baby of the family, gets away with everything, but of course, he does because he's perfect. Even more than Cruiz and I.. He's a man of all trades, actually. He's dependable, loyal, and very quiet out of all of us, but when he talks, we all listen because he's also wise for his age, and he tends to break up fights.

So, now I have to work until 5 am, then after work. I'll have a quick shower, then beat my brother to our father's truck, I'll be waiting in it by 5:30 am. I look at the time, and it says, "8 pm," so I better get ready to get to work, I have to be there in half an hour. I quickly have a shower with my vampire speed and put my long, thick black hair into a high ponytail. Then I had a bit of eye makeup to make my grey eyes that I got from my mom pop. I don't need to add lipstick. My lips are naturally reddish. I put on black skinny jeans and a black longsleeve shirt with a sweetheart neckline, and I put on my black ballet flats. I hate wearing socks. The only time I tolerate it is in the winter. I was almost tempted to wear flip flops, but then, I wanted comfortable shoes for work. I quickly ran all the way to work in vampire speed.
