Once upon a time, there was a popular farmer known as obi, he was of the Amorji kindred in the land of ama ano. He was married to a lady called Chioma. He was well to-do and his riches came from farming.obi was always made great harvests in every farming season out of that he made a lot sale.
Obi farm were the largest in the whole village of ama ano in amaorji. He had several farm where he he plant varities of crop such as beans, rice, yam and coco yam. He hire many to work for him in his farm, and he paid them very well. However, despite his achievements, and good works, he was feeling unhappy man because he had no child since he married, which some years old.
Obi was a christain and he enjoy helping people in need.His wife, chioma was also loved by many people for her outstanding qualities, but mostly for being caring and hospitable
And there was a family called ikenga family. They were spiteful of the obi family due to an unnecessary clash that exited between both families. Ikenga said that the farmland which obi has been farming on originally belong to both of their families, but obi’s grandfather has forcefully taking over the land before it was pass down to obi. That was what his father told before he died.
One faithful morning, ikenga’s wife, obioma with three other women from amaano was going to the market, on their way , obioma initiated amongst them, she started by asking the women how well do the know obi and his wife.
“I know them very well, they are very good people” one of the women said, “she added” that chioma the wife of obi, was the women leader in their church. Then adaku told the women that obi made his money through dubious means, she stated categorically that obi was involved in money rituals and that he used the money to acquire more land he farmed on, she also told the women that obi used his wife’s womb for rituals, which made them so wealthy and also enjoyed bountiful crops yield each season, at last, obioma was able to convince the women and made them believe her false story about obi.
When they reach Eke market day, where people from far and near came to buy and sell their goods, they all went their separate way to different section of the market where they sold the goods they had brought to the market to sell.
