Prologue
"Y-you're stupid!" I exclaimed, wagging my finger in front of his face.
"Is that the best you can do, doll face?" he chuckled, rolling his eyes.
"Is that the best I can do? Yes, it's the best. What can you do—" I babbled, but he stopped me off by hurling me against the wall and placed both his hands on either side of my head, trapping me in front of him.
"Stop talking, Angel," he hissed.
"Close your eyes," he said into my ear, and I flashed my eyelids shut without thinking about what he was going to do.
"Do you know how much I want to kiss you right now?" he asked quietly, and I bowed my head and inhaled deeply as his breath tickled my cheek, "I want to kiss you so freaking bad, you're a freaking tease doll face, I adore teasing."

Angeline Smith may be seen as one of two things at first glance: a spoiled, affluent girl or a quiet good girl... She was neither of them. Angeline Smith, the straight-A student, daughter of well-known parents, and well-liked public figure, was someone everyone wanted to befriend.
She was the girl your parents would ask if they were headed to an event to see if they should let you go or not. No one anticipated her to be consumed by something unknown to those around her.
Angeline, or Angel, is not your typical 17-year-old. Deep down beneath her charming exterior, she's a dangerous girl, similar to the devil's advocate.
She's preoccupied by her evil side, a dark side that might emerge if pushed by the right—or, in this case, the wrong—people. The dark side that led to people being murdered and imprisoned, the dark side that consumes her when she falls too far.
And after a year of battling her alter ego, her life crumbles, only to be resurrected when the bad boy moves to her town. Maxwell Evans, a juvenile delinquent, is a new exchange student for the school's Juvenile Delinquency program. Loving and charming are two words that, by far, do not appropriately characterize this cold-hearted bad boy.
Who knew someone could be that heartless and uncaring? That is, until he moves in with Angel, the 'nice' girl at school. This is when he sees her for who she truly is, rather than what others are attempting to hide with her, her 'nice' side.
But what happens when two rebellious teenagers meet?
Her friends believe they fell in love too early and that their love is unhealthy and toxic, but it's more than that; it's obsessive, it's willing to die for, and it's a love that only Angel and Max can have.
And it is destructive.

He's known as a bad boy. He's said to be dangerous. He's said to be harmful to my health. They claim I'm not good for him. He's toxic. I'm toxic. He's a menace. I'm a menace. He loves me. I love him. If he is willing to die for me. I'm willing to die for him. We were meant to be together. Like two peas in a pod. We were placed on this planet to meet each other. And when we did, we were ecstatic. Chaos.
