On the very first day Emily regained her sight, she immediately hopped online to look for ways to surprise her husband. Instead, a viral post caught her eye. "What is it like to sleep with a blind girl?" Her fingers froze over the keyboard. Driven by a dark, inexplicable urge, she clicked on it.

"An answer from someone with firsthand experience: Her eyes are completely blank, but her body is incredibly honest. When she wants to please you, she has absolutely no sense of direction, leaving her completely at your mercy. She is like a living s*x toy, but honestly, it is so much more thrilling."

Scrolling past a few empty lines, a series of explicit, intimate photos loaded on the screen.

The next second, Emily's hand clenched into a tight fist. Her lips trembled violently as she stared at the screen, utterly paralyzed by the horrifying truth. The woman in those photos was her. The camera had been positioned directly overhead, capturing her lying across a massive bed. Her face was flushed, her pale skin covered in glaring red hickeys, exposing every single inch of her body to the high-definition lens.

"This can't be happening. How is this possible?"

Chapter 1 The Fake Love
On the very first day Emily Dixon regained her sight, she logged onto her husband’s computer to pick out a gift online as thanks for looking after her all this time, only to stumble upon a post on a private website. "What is it like to make love to a blind girl?" Her fingers froze over the keyboard. Driven by a dark, inexplicable urge, she clicked on it. "An answer from someone with firsthand experience: Her eyes are completely blank, but her body is incredibly honest. When she wants to please you, she has absolutely no sense of direction, leaving her completely at your mercy. She is like a living s*x toy, but honestly, it is so much more thrilling and intense." Scrolling past a few empty lines, a series of explicit, intimate photos loaded on the screen. The next second, Emily's hand clenched into a tight fist. Her lips trembled violently as she stared at the screen, utterly paralyzed by the horrifying truth. The woman in those photos was her. The camera had been positioned directly overhead, capturing her lying across a massive bed. Her face was flushed with passion, her pale skin covered in glaring red hickeys, exposing every single inch of her body to the high-definition lens. "This can't be happening. How is this possible?" Suddenly, memories of every single intimate moment she had shared with her husband, Javier Welch, came rushing back to flood her mind. She distinctly remembered that one time her husband had coaxed her into striking a series of alluring poses. Back then, Javier had nipped her earlobe and told her it was to spice things up. Though she had felt a bit uncomfortable, she had gone along with it anyway. Now, these photos stood as the brutal, indisputable truth. Right then, the front door burst open. Javier walked into the house, laughing and joking with a large group of his friends. When the group noticed Emily sitting on the sofa, they froze for a fraction of a second before greeting her in unison. Their voices sounded perfectly respectful and polite, but their eyes were filled with absolute disdain, treating her to cheap, predatory stares. It made sense. Not a single person in this room knew she could see again. But it was precisely because of this secret that she could finally witness their true colors, including Javier's. Perhaps because she was staring a bit too intensely, Javier walked over and waved his hand directly in front of her eyes. "Emmy? What's wrong with your eyes?" Emily's heart plummeted into a dark abyss, forcing a strained, fragile smile onto her face. "I just got back from my follow-up exam today. The doctor said the previous surgery didn't really work. I need to continue the treatments." Javier subconsciously let out a massive sigh of relief. He wrapped his arm tightly around her shoulders and looked up to signal the group. Understanding the cue instantly, his friends sat down in complete silence, but every single one of them immediately pulled out their phones. And because Javier was holding her close, Emily had a direct, perfect view of their group chat flashing on their screens. One friend texted: I just came across that thread Abby posted! Wow, that is absolutely explosive stuff. I never expected Emily to look so hot in bed when she usually looks so skinny and flat! You are one lucky bastard! Another friend chimed in: Seriously! At least half the reason Abby's follower count is exploding so fast is thanks to Emily's explicit photos. Abby must be absolutely thrilled right now, right? As if recalling something incredibly beautiful, a smug smirk crept onto Javier's face as his fingers flew across his screen to type a reply. Javier: Yeah, she promised that as long as this post hits one hundred thousand views, she will go out on a date with me. His friend replied: Well, you've already smashed that target! Javier, once you successfully lock Abby down, why don't you hand Emily over to the boys for some fun? She's completely blind anyway; she won't even know who the hell is on top of her! Javier spat the cigarette out of his mouth, his face suddenly tightening with a serious expression as he aggressively tapped out a response. Javier: Don't push it too far. Emily did lose her sight back then just to save my life. Javier's warm, familiar palm was still gently caressing Emily's cheek, but as she watched the message he had just sent out of the corner of her eye, a violent, paralyzing chill ran straight down her spine. Just to get a single date with Abby, he had actually resorted to taking non-consensual, private photos of her to upload to the internet, leaving her to be publicly humiliated, degraded, and ruined by the entire world. Sensing the woman in his arms trembling, Javier lowered his head and asked in a deeply concerned voice, "What's wrong, Emmy? Are you feeling sick somewhere?" Emily played along, deliberately asking, "Why is everyone so quiet all of a sudden? What are you all doing?" The friends immediately jumped at the chance to put on a show, eagerly piping up to cover for him. "Isn't your birthday coming up in a few days? Javier is coordinating with us to plan a massive surprise for you!" "Exactly! You should have seen the pure, blissful smile on Javier's face just a second ago. Seriously, the rest of us can only dream of having a perfect love story like yours." Emily lifted her head to look directly into Javier's eyes, but they were completely shallow and cold, carrying not a single shred of actual love for her. So many times in the past, whenever his friends came over to the house, the room would fall into this exact same eerie silence. Looking back now, she realized she had never been a wife to them; she was just a blind toy they used for their collective amusement. "Emmy, there's a party I have to attend tonight. Since it's inconvenient for you to move around with your eyes, I'll come back a bit later to keep you company." The moment Javier finished speaking, he stood up to leave. But Emily clearly saw a new text message pop up on his screen from Abby Harris. She knew with absolute certainty that he was rushing off to a romantic, blissful date. The rest of the crowd filed out right behind him, leaving the house instantly dead silent. She looked around the empty room, which was filled to the brim with memories shared between her and Javier. They were childhood sweethearts who grew up together, bound by a profound, unbreakable bond. When she was twenty years old, she had thrown her own body in front of him to shield him from the blast radius of an explosion, losing her sight forever in the process. Back then, Javier had held her bleeding body in a death grip, kneeling right in front of her parents as he wept, swearing to God that he would never fail her as long as he lived. And after they got married, he truly did cherish her like a rare jewel, holding her in the palm of his hand. Shortly after, when her father tragically perished in a horrific car accident, Javier's heart broke for her entirely. If she so much as mentioned she was terrified of the thunder, he would instantly abandon a ten-billion-dollar business project to fly straight across the globe just to hold her through the night. When her health began to fail, he begged the most elite medical specialist in the world for three straight days, demanding that the doctor cure his wife. He even hired round-the-clock maids to ensure her every single need was met. Emily had genuinely believed that this beautiful, blissful life would last until the day she died. That was until two years ago, when Javier's father, Fraser Welch, remarried. The new stepmother brought along her own daughter, a girl named Abby. Abby became Javier's legal stepsister, and from that day on, she glued herself to his side every waking hour. She needed him to hold up the train of her ballgowns, and she demanded that he chauffeur her around whenever she wanted to go shopping. In the beginning, Javier found it completely insufferable. But she couldn't pinpoint exactly when the shift happened; slowly but surely, Javier's eyes stopped tracking Emily altogether, reflecting absolutely nothing but Abby. On their wedding anniversary, he took Abby to see the Northern Lights. During her mandatory weekly hospital checkups, he was busy in the kitchen, handcrafting Abby's favorite meals. Worst of all, on the day Emily accidentally forgot to turn off the gas stove and passed out unconscious on the kitchen floor, he was miles away, frantically helping Abby search for a lost dog. His love had belonged to someone else for a very long time. Emily let out a self-deprecating, bitter laugh. Looking up at the massive wedding portrait hanging in the living room, the image felt like a physical stab to her eyes. She grabbed a lighter and set the wedding photos ablaze, watching their happy, smiling faces turn to ash. As the flames devoured the last of her past life, she dialed a number on her phone. "For someone with your resources, fabricating a brand-new identity for me shouldn't be difficult, right? Also, exactly seven days from now, I want you to make sure Javier receives an official notice of my death."
