Goodbye and Goodluck

Alright, we're getting there... I submitted my resignation letter to my boss. Like I have said before, he is a very understanding person so he accepted it and sent me a piece of good luck in my next career. I packed my personal things in the office and went straight to my hometown to inform my family regarding with my new career. I have 2 weeks remaining before I will fly and live in another country. Oh, I'm gonna miss the cooked food of my Mom. I think I need to stay here long before I leave this country. As I've shared my news with them, they were very happy and proud. Then they notice the changes in me. But they think that it is because I worked out a lot and I took good care of my skin hahaha. They don't ask questions about it as Lexie did hahaha. My parents helped me to get my things in my apartment. And they also helped me to finalize the documents needed for my job. I am grateful to my parents. My brother plans to have a small "Goodbye and good luck on your career" party hahaha. This will be held the night before my flight. I'm gonna miss my friends and most especially my family. But with the help of technology, I'll still have communication with them. Now that my salary will increase, I'll promise myself that I will give more to them. 1 week left...and I enjoy staying in our home. Making precious moments with them. Still preparing for the things I will bring. I will miss everything here in my country, and my home. There is no turning back. When your feet take you on another journey of your life, you need to take a step and move forward. If you turn back and hesitate to take that one step, you'll miss other things ahead of you. Be brave to take that one step. 

The "Goodbye and Goodluck on your career" party is just a small last get-together with my family and a few of my friends available that night. We're just talking and eating. It takes only 5 hours because my flight for tomorrow is early, so all of us need to have a rest. It was a meaningful night to me, thanks to my brother for this idea. It makes me sleep comfortably because of the good memories I will bring as I leave tomorrow. 

The next day...my flight is at 10 am. We went to the airport at 5 am. We spent more time together in the airport while waiting. Alright....it's time to say goodbye to my family. Hugging them tightly and wishing me good luck. There are no heavy tears in their eyes, it is tears of joy for me. We will stay connected because of technology. And I promise to update them on whatever is going on with me. 

When I've landed in Paris, France, one of the employees from IGL Models Inc. named, Alice, helped me and assisted me in going to the models' apartment. While riding in a rented car, I was amazed by the beautiful things I have seen looking at the car's window. It is new to me of course. I feel so alive, thankfully. Then, when we arrived at the models' apartment, it was like my normal apartment in my country. There are two buildings owned by them. One for the male models and one for the womens'. It is not so classy but it is comfortable to live because it is for individuals. I can have my own privacy here. At first, I thought that in one room, 2 to 3 models will stay, but it is great that at every door of the building, there is one room for individuals. It is like a studio unit in a condominium. So I have the freedom to do things I want. No need to hesitate or to feel awkward towards others. When I put down all my things in my room, Ms. Alice gave me already a schedule for tomorrow, the keys, and also the rules here in the building provided by the company, and she leaves and told me to get some rest and prepare for tomorrow. The room is nice and comfy. Furniture is already provided. The views in my window are great. My room is located on the 3rd floor of this building. This is great. I have no worries, except for food hahaha. I don't know what and where to buy foods here hahaha. Oh, I forgot to ask Ms. Alice. I think I should ask some models here. But first, I will arrange and put my things here in my room. Ms. Alice said that it is already sanitized before I come. Wow, they really take good care of their models. I don't have regrets about applying to this company. That's why they were very selective and has high standards because they provide great benefits to their employees and models. Thank you again, Deity!

After I showered and wore clothes, I went out to my room and knock door to ask some models where can I buy food here near the building. On my left, I knock and the door opened. She is a British model. She is very pretty and tall and slim. Thankfully, I can understand her language hahaha. When I ask her, she told me that there is a nearby food store and a grocery store on the first street that I can see as I leave this building. She is not too friendly, so I guess, I can't be her friend. So, I just said thank you to her. And I leave. Okay, I need to use my specialty, wherein I can understand the French language. I need to use it now. What she said is true, there is a sign as I've left the building, it is a street name. And I walk towards it and suddenly I saw a mini food store on my left and on my right, a grocery store. So first I go into the mini food store. Yes, I can read the labels but I am not sure if that kind of food is nice and tasty hahaha. This mini food store is consists of bread and pastries. Yeah, from what I know, France is known for croissants and baguettes. Their currency is Euros. Aside from my savings, my parents and my brother gave me additional savings that I can use because I don't have any salary yet. Aggghhh... I miss them already. I'm so blessed to them. In this store, I just bought macaroons and croissants. Then, I went to the grocery store on my right. It is a big grocery store. So I take a small cart and start to buy other things I need while I'm staying here in this country. I bought shampoo, conditioner, soaps, other hygiene things as a woman. Some cleaning stuff. Additional foods like coffee, tea, chips and veggies, and fruits. I enjoyed buying things here in this new place. Maybe some other time, I will spend more time wandering around to get to know more about other places. Because for now, after I bought my needs, I need to get beauty rest for my schedule tomorrow.
