Retail therapy was definitely in order. Alyssa didn’t have anything else to do since Andie clearly did not want her help, so a shopping trip was the best she could do.

A quick drive into town showed Alyssa other things that had changed. The restaurant Jake had taken her to for their first date was still there, but it had grown. Down the street was a small ice cream shop, a cafe, more restaurants, and lots of new shops. Alyssa noticed a pharmacy and the doctor’s office, a vet not far from those. And the liquor store.
She wondered if the liquor store carried Amavita Estates wine, but she would not ask. She’d stepped on enough toes in her first ten days.
