CHAPTER THIRTY FOUR

Raffy smirked as he saw anger on her daughter’s eyes, “what’s with that stare? Is that a proper way to stare at your father?”

Dana felt her blood boil as she stare at her father’s smirking face. The fear she felt a while ago disappeared and now, all she wanted is to wiped the smirked on Raffy’s face.

“Don’t be mad at me too much. What happened to Nelly wasn’t all my fault.” Raffy said non-chantly. “It was Elena’s fault even in at the beginning.”

“She is also the one who killed your brother, don’t you know that?” Raffy asked.

Dana didn’t answered and just Raffy to continue to speak up. She knows that Raffy is just trying to brainwash her by putting all the blame to Elena.

But, she knew better that Elena was only a victim for all her father’s scheme, for she may not acting like she didn’t care when she was still living in her father’s house, but she knew everything, even from the start.

Raffy had just used her mother to bare him a son, but her mother had her, so then again he impregnate her mother and that’s where she conceive Leonel.

Her mother and her had been beaten by Raffy multiple times whenever things didn’t work for his plan for Elena’s family, specially to Elena’s mom, Selena.

Elena’s family had been good to her specially Selena. Selena, was the one who helped them whenever Raffy is away, she was the one who nurse her mom and her bruise and wounds whenever they where beaten, giving her money and was the one who supports her education for her father only wants to support Leonel.

And now hearing words from the mouth of her father made her wanted to laugh, for him trying to brainwash her, she already had done something that she regret, and that’s is to let Raffy to lure her, that end up endangering, Elena, Ms. Estrella and killed her beloved mother.

“Stop what with your non-sense bullshit.” She said.

“If your just saying this to make me your ally, then your wrong for I will never ever turn my back again to Elena.” She said with finality.

In a swift, she throw the nearest vase to Raffy, that he immediately dodge.

“Bad daughter.” Raffy told to his daughter.

“Don’t ever call me your daughter, for I never was!” she spat.

Dana started to attack Raffy as soon as she got the pocket knife that she always carrying everywhere for self protection.

Raffy laughed as he dodge Dana’s attack casually and provoke her even more.

“You are really a fool. Do you really think you can hurt me with your petty knife?” he asked.

In a snap he took the knife on Dana’s hands by twisting her arm, that made Dana grunt in pain.

Raffy pull Dana closer to him while she is struggling to free herself in her father’s strong grasp.

“Let me go you monster!” Dana said still struggling.

Raffy smirked again as he watched his daughter struggling, and lean more closer that made Dana stopped and froze.

The next thing happened was she felt a sharp needle injected in her neck.

No! She screamed in her mind before everything went black, and the last thing she saw was her father smirking like a demon.

A knock from her room took Elena’s attention from what she is reading. She saw her room door open revealing Mr. Vaughn in it.

“Grandpa!” She said as she get up to meet Mr. Vaughn, to greet him properly.

“You don’t need to get up Elena.” Mr. Vaughn trying to stop Elena but Elena already got up.

A smile escape at his lips as he saw what Elena is doing, “your studying.”

Elena nod and smile, “yeah, quiz bee is coming so I’m reviewing.”

“Really? That’s great to hear!” Mr. Vaughn delightly said.

He was truly happy to know about what Elena had said, for the lad had been isolated herself too much. His investigator reported it to him and Elena became more isolated after that thing happened that endangered Ms. Estrella’s life.

“Hmm. Mrs. Valle selected me, but Aunt Elle encouraged me.” Elena informed.

Mr. Vaughn happily nod again from what Elena had said, he knows that Elena visited Ms. Estrella, so that’s what happened. He was grateful.

“By the way, what brings you here grandpa?” Elena asked curiously.

Her grandpa had only visited her last night and bond with her, and her grandpa told her that he will going to visit her again tomorrow, yet here he is now, so she is curious from his sudden arrival.

“You had told me last night, that you no longer hearing Lena in your head right?” Mr. Vaughn asked, “so I brought Dr. Monte to check you up, is that okay?”

Elena nod, “Its okay, I curious as well about Lena.”

Mr. Vaughn nod and told Elena that he needs to go for he has a appointment and he just brought Dr. Monte to check her up and also told her that Dr. Monte is in the library waiting for her.

After Mr. Vaughn left, Elena hurriedly made her way upstairs where the library is located.

A smile crept into her lips as she saw the familiar figure of an old man in her study table, while looking the outside view.

“Dr. Harris!” she called, taking the doctor’s attention from the outside.

Dr. Monte stood up and as he saw her and showed his gentle smile that Elena had missed as well about Dr. Monte.

“Hello Elena, how are you?” Dr. Monte asked as Elena went closer from where is he standing.

He is glad to see Elena better after months of disappearing all of a sudden, and he is glad when Eleanor told him that Elena had paid a her a visit in her birthday.

Seeing Elena now is far more better than before, who is looking stress out, unenergetic, full of worry and anxiousness than now who looks confident, happy energetic and he can finally see the real smile in her face that the fake one before.

“I’m good, by the way Dr. Harris, I missed you as well as Aunt Elle.” Elena said smiling.

“It is nice to see you smiling like that, your Aunt Elle would be delighted to see you smiling so brightly.” He said, staring at Elena.

“Don’t tell my Aunt Elle but, I am planning to surprise visit her one of this days.” Elena informed happily.

“Okay, my lips is zip.” Dr. Monte said.

He even showed Elena that he zip his lips that made Elena chuckle by Dr. Monte’s demonstrarion.
