CHAPTER THIRTY FIVE

Elena also told Dr. Monte that she is preparing for a quiz bee which is a good news for Dr. Monte and for Elena’s case.

For the first time he met Elena, the lad is too anxious and barely speak and keep on stuttering, if he wouldn’t asked her, she wouldn’t speak.

Elena joining schools competition would be a great part to enhance her social skills and to be out of her box.

“Mr. Vaughn had told me that you haven’t heard Lena?” He asked clarifying what Mr. Vaughn told him.

Elena nod, “yeah, since that thing happened, I have never heard Lena, which is I am curious.”

“How about your memories, have you regain something yet?” he asked again.

“No. I haven’t, I only have is grandpa’s stories about my family and pictures.” Elena replied.

Dr. Monte nod on Elena’s answers and smiled to Elena before he spoke.

He explained to Elena what are the possibilities on why does she didn’t hear Lena. Which is because of what happened to them might had ended Lena’s existence.

According to Mr. Vaugh’s information that he told to him. Raffy haven’t find yet, and they didn’t know if he was still dead or alive, and that’d what he saw that might be the only reason that, Lena’s personality haven’t triggering.

For Lena’s existence is only because of revenge that she had for Raffy who is the mastermind of the murder of Elena’s parents, that is now missing.

And from what he observed though he is not that sure yet. If Raffy will not going to appear again, Lena would be completely disappear.

And as for Elena’s amnesia, all he can say that, it is already Elena’s will to regain her memory, for Mr. Vaughn had already did what he suggested to do to Elena, but still Elena’s regaining memory doesn’t seem improving.

“I suggest to keep on doing what you are doing, right now. Joining school events would help you with your social skill.” He said.

“And it would be more greater if you will going to start making friends and hang with them.” He added.

The session ended with some reminders, and encouragement that Elena write in her note.

Elena also apologize from leaving without notice, that Dr. Monte also understood, and told Elena, not to worry and he was happy to be her doctor again.

Dr. Monte even told Elena that he is planning to propose to her Aunt Elle that made Elena giggle. He told her, that he want her to have the second biggest part of that proposal surprise, which Elena gladly accept.

Dr. Monte even joked her, that she should start calling him Uncle Harris.

The rest of the conversation between her and Dr. Monte was fun, specially when he shared how did their romance started. She is giggling the whole story because she liked how her Aunt Elle and Dr. Monte’s romance story started.

It was hate at first and bloom into love, a typical story that she also read in stories she’s reading, yet it has the unexplainable impact to her, maybe because its her Aunt Elle love story. She thought.

After three hours of conversation including the session, Dr. Monte bid his goodbye and with the assigned guard to him he left.

Elena’s day ended smoothly, she got back from reviewing, and she also called her Aunt Elle to bring the news that she would be joining their school quiz bee that made Ms. Estrella delighted, and give Elena a few tips and encouragement for reviewing that Elena put in her mind.

Ms. Estrella also promised that she will going to watch her at that day that made Elena happy.

How she wish that her day is always like this, she thought. Thinking about today she reminded her days when her Daddy Alfred and Mommy Dan is still alive.

“I miss you Dad Al and Mommy D.” she whispered before she drift off to sleep.

“What is this Ella?!” a man’s thunderous voice echoed in Mateo’s mansion.

“I’m sorry Dad.” Ella said apologetically.

She got her report card today, and found out that she had dropped to a top 2 again, after Elena Mirabello took the top 1 again.

“Nonsense!” His Dad spat. “How could you dropped into the top 2?!”

Ella just remain still as her clenched fist from her father is saying, and listening to her father made her mad at Elena Mirabello from taking her place.

Morning came, Elena was walking to the school hallway, when she saw a group of students, looking at the bulletin boards while pointing at the post and gossips.

“Is that her?” she heard the girl student said.

With a thud in her chest, she started to become nervous because of the attention coming from the students, but she still choose to go on.

“Yeah, she took the top 1 again.” The other student replied.

“I heard that she isn’t attending school that much, how come she made into the top again?” the student asked again.

But they stopped their loud gossips when Elena passed through them.

Elena entered the classroom with the students she passed looking at her making her started to feel uneasy.

As she seated, a female student approach her and took the vacant seat beside her and put her chin to her hands while her elbow is in the desk.

“You got me into top 2 again.” The girl said sighing, making Elena figuring out that it is Ella Faustino.

“Sorry.” She said apologetically.

“I hate you, you know that?” Ella said facing Elena.

“I am mad at you for taking my place since you came in this school.” Ella ranted.

“I’m sorry.” Elena apologize again, but that made Ella annoyed.

“Don’t apologize, I don’t need it if its from you.” Ella said annoyed, “I just approach you to tell you that I will beat you again, so better get yourself ready.”

With that, Ella left Elena whom confused by what Ella had said about preparing herself, and just on time, Mrs. Valle entered the classroom with a bright smile plastered on her face before throw a glance to Elena.

“Ms. Mirabello is here,” Ms. Valle stated, “by the way congrats to be in our top both Ms. Mirabello and Ms. Lim.”

“Let’s give them around of applause!” Ms. Valle said that the students did.

“And another, I would also like to announce that out top 1 and top 2 would be our school contender to our upcoming quiz bee.” Ms. Valle announced.

And just like that another round of applause come out from the students inside the classroom as they cheered to them.
