CHAPTER TWELVE

Morning came, Elena didn’t know that Lena her split was out for killed again, and started her day in normal, that haven’t been happened for a while, no nightmares and just complete rest, that’s what Elena thought, though.

“Good Morning!” Elena greeted to Ms. Estrella who was just about get outside her own house.

“Good Morning Elena!” Ms. Estrella replied greeting to Elena who was now ready to go to school.

“Here!” Ms. Estrella said handing Elena paperbag, “Your lasagna Darling, my peace offering for I wasn’t able to accompany you yesterday.”

“Aunt Elle, you know you don’t have to feel sorry, I was okay yesterday,” Elena said reaching Ms. Estrella arms and put her right arm around it to make Ms. Estrella feel okay, “and in fact Dr. Monte commended me for handling my anxiety properly.”

The news about Elena said, made Ms. Estrella happy, even though she knows it already after Dr. Harris called her yesterday about Elena’s appointment, and hearing Elena telling what happened on her appointment in a happy manner on how Dr. Harris commended her made her feel better. The last thing that Ms. Estrella want right now was Elena to be cured.

“And Aunt Elle,” Elena called to Ms. Estrella to tell about something “ You know what? I have a friend now, his name is Leonel Vargas.” Elena told Ms. Estrella happily, as they started to made their way on Ms. Estrella’s car still Elena’s arm link on her.

“Leonel Vargas, the college tennis club captain?“ Ms. Estrella asked in brows knotted, Leonel Vargas is also her student two years ago in highschool, and the kid was a good student making her happy for Elena.

"Yes.” Elena replied with a happy face, and as they took the way to the university, Elena told Ms. Estrella about her hang out  with Leonel, that is the very first time happened to her.

And Ms. Estrella was glad by Elena having a friend and was having a good time, for its been a long time since Elena told her stories about her having fun.

As they reach the parking lot, get off the car, and was about to take a step towards the highschool building when out of nowhere Elena saw Leonel just popped out from their behind.

“Good Morning Elena, and to you too, Ms. Estrella!” Leonel greeted them cheerfully and as always he popped out of nowhere again, like he always doing Elena thought.

“Good Morning!” Elena greeted as well comfortably.

Yesterday, Elena learnt to be comfortable with Leonel as Leonel was so stubborn and insisted to accompany her when she  went to Mall to buy herself a gallon of ice cream that didn’t happen instead Leonel pulled her to an arcade where they played until their hearts content.

That’s where she learnt to finally made herself comfortable to this guy.

“By the way this is my Aunt Elle, and Aunt Elle, this is Leonel, my friend.” Elena introduced them to each other.

“Hello Miss Estrella, again. I am Leonel Vargas, your niece friend.” Leonel said politely with a smile.

“Good to see you, Leonel.” Ms. Estrella said giving Leonel a smile. And after the short conversation Leonel separated from them as well as the both of them to the building.

The classes ended well, Elena was on her way to the exit gate of the university when someone called her.

“Elena!” Elena heard someone called her, making her turn around only to see Leonel waving at her while approaching her.

“You done with your class?” Leonel asked as he arrived where Elena is standing.

“Yes.” Elena replied.

“Great, so let’s go!” Leonel said cheerfully to Elena.

“Go, where?” Elena asked confused.

“To the court.” Leonel replied making Elena more confuse.

“Court? What court?” Elena asked, for she never recall agreeing to Leonel about going somewhere after school when they eat together a while ago.

“You will know when we get there, so let’s go!” Leonel said and hold Elena’s wrist that made Elena run when Leonel run  while dragging her.

Elena saw student they passed through halted as they see them, some even called Leonel, but Leonel didn’t bother to stop and just continue to drag Elena to where is the parking lot is.

“Here!” Leonel said while handling Elena a helmet, that Elena hesitantly took.

“Come on!  You’ll enjoy there, I promise!” Leonel said as he saw Elena’s hesitation on taking the helmet he’s handing to her.

But she took it after a while that made Leonel smile grew wider in happiness.

“Okay…” Elena said smiling and put the helmet on her head.

Getting on Leonel’s motor made Elena scare as this is the first time she will ride on it, but by the help of Leonel, she was able rode on it, for Leonel made sure to drive so gently.

After the minute of driving, they arrive at the one wided floor building that named Edmonton Tennis Association.

“Come one!” Leonel said motioning Elena towards the building entrance.

“What are we doing here?” Elena curiously asked while roaming her eyes around as they entered to the entrance and saw the tennis courts inside.

Elena was in awe as she saw how wide the building in the inside, while the ceiling so high, that she never thought that the building was these huge, for it doesn’t look like on the outside.

“You like it here?” Elena heard Leonel asked, that Elena responded in nod.

“This place is huge, I never though we have this in kind of place in Edmonton.” Elena stated still in awe.

“But what are we really doing here?” Elena asked after.

“We’ll… you will only going to watch me on my practice.” Leonel answered smiling from cheek to cheek.

Elena forgot that this man infront of her is a Tennis club captain, making her huffed as this man got her to drag her here just to watch.

“Come on…Don’t sulk Elena,” Leonel said as he saw Elena sulking, “you want to me to teach you later after practice?”

Leonel saw Elena’s face lit up as she continuously nod in excitement from his question that make him laugh for Elena’s reaction is too cute.

“Cute…” Leonel said without him knowing.

“What?” Elena asked as she didn’t understand what Leonel said making Leonel realize that he said what’s on his mind a loud.

“Huh? Don’t mind it. Let’s go?” Leonel said and motioned Elena to the court side to sit,

“Sit here, I’ll just go and change.” Leonel said informing that he’ll go and change as they arrived at the court side, Elena nod.

Leonel came back after a while wearing  sky blue polo and a khakis short and a white wristband on his left wrist, and was about to come to her, but a middle aged man call Leonel.

‘Coach!” Leonel said and signalled Elena that his coach is calling him, and again Elena nod.

After a while, Leonel didn’t got a chance to come to Elena for his coach told him to run 50 laps around the court as a punishment for getting late that he immediately did.

“Hey, you getting bored?” Leonel asked to Elena after hos coach give him a short break after he finished doing 50 laps.

Elena shake her head and took the towel she saw on Leonel’s bag and hand it to Leonel, that Leonel immediately took and wiped his damped face and neck in sweat.

“We’ll play later after the practice,” Leonel said while putting the towel around his neck “for now I’ll make sure to make you enjoy my play.”

Elena wants to shook her head for Leonel’s conceitedness, but she knows that it’s a part of Leonel’s personality.

“Okay!” Elena replied, before Leonel’s coach called him.

As the practice starts, Elena find herself enjoying as she watch Leonel’s team play.

“Outside.” Elena murmured as Leonel’s component smash the ball, but it too strong making it outside.

Elena can say that Leonel’s really deserve the title on their university tennis club, for he screamed in authority and he was really good in his games.

He defeated his opponents in just three sets without letting his opponent score, and Elena applaud Leonel for that.

After the practice, Elena decided not to play anymore, for watching tennis seems tiring because of almost endless chase to the ball just to return it to the other side where the opponent is.

“Thank you for accompanying me.” Leonel said as Elena get off from his motor, as they arrived infront of Elena’s house.

“No need to thank me, you just drag me all of a sudden, right?” Elena joked earning a chuckle from Leonel “Go now, and be careful on you driving.”

Leonel nod before bid his goodbye. Elena waited Leonel to disappear before she decided to come in. Elena can say that these past few days, her days is not that bad for her anxiety isn’t triggering and her nightmare just visiting her dreams a few times only.

“Hey!” The girl called to her brother who was just arrived.

“What?” The man asked to his sister.

“I know what you are doing.” The girl said meaningfully.

“Don’t meddle.” The said to her sister for he knows, her sister loves to meddle his business.

“Then, stop.” The girl said, making his brother jaw clenched as he start to get annoyed.

“I don’t want to,” The man said, and was about to passed through his sister, but stop after hearing what his sister said.

“Dad, wants me to watch over your woman.” The girl said.

“He what?!” The man asked annoyed.

“I think Dad wants something to that woman.” The girl continued instead of answering her brother.

The girl saw became fumed mad as he heard what she said that made a small smirk crept into her lips just as what she thought the girl thought and took the step towards  the library where their father is.

Psh! These men are really sick! The girl thought before she made her way towards where her mother’s room is.
