CHAPTER TWENTY TWO

“Where are you taking us?!” Doctor Monte asked fuming mad, “what do you want?!”

This group of men suddenly barge in, in his house and took them as they ransack his place, and seems finding something, but when they didn’t see it, they took the three of them, he hope that Dana is safe and was able to tell this to Lena now.

“Shut up, you old man!” one of the men shouted to Dr. Monte.

After a while the van stopped, and the men is starting to get off the van, and then them while harshly urging them to move. Ms. Estrella was quiet the whole time, Dana’s mother was still like that, no emotion from her face to her eyes, and Dr. Monte was just keep himself quiet again as he observe the place that the men took them.

As they entered the house, a man in his mid 30’s greeted them, even though his eyes doesn’t seemed pleased to see them.

“What is these old people doing here?!’ the man asked to the men sounded unpleased as he turn his gaze to Dr. Monte and Ms. Estrella.

“Didn’t I told you to take Elena?” the man asked as he approach them.

Ms. Estrella and Dr. Monte saw the man halted and smirk, as his eyes went to Dana’s mother who was just entered.

“Ohh! Look who is coming back!” the man exclaimed smirking as he approach Dana’s mother.

Ms. Estrella gasped in horror when the man straggled Dana’s mother on the neck.

“What a-are you d-doing?!” Ms. Estrella shouted while looking at the man in horror while his hand is straggling Dana’s mother, who still remain no emotion.

The man didn’t even throw a gaze to Ms. Estrella who questioned him, for his attention is to Dana’s mother.

“Tsk! You disappear with your daughter, yet you came back alone. How interesting,” the man said as he let go Dana’s mother neck and turn his gaze to Ms. Estrella and Dr. Monte, “so your hiding to them.”

The man stated and turn his gaze again to Dana’s mother, and turn his back again and turn to Ms. Estrella.

“Hasp!”

“By the way what is Edmonton University teacher and a famous doctor doing here?”  the man asked with his brows knotted as his attention is in Dr. Monte and Ms. Estrella, who ia now quietly staring a him.

“Elena Mirabello is staying with them.” one of the men answered.

“Really? Then I should introduce myself, if that’s the case.” the man said with a smirk still plastered on his lips.

“So rude of me not to introduce myself. By the way I am Raffy Mirabello, I am Elena’s uncle.” Raffy formally yet playful introduced to himself as he bow infront of Ms. Estrella and Dr. Monte.

So their hunch is right, this man infront of them is Raffy Mirabello, Elena’s step uncle and her parents murderer. Ms. Estrella confirmed to herself.

This man is taking drugs. Dr. Monte said to himself as he observe Raffy’s behavior.

“W-What do you want from u-us?” Ms. Estrella asked, but almost jump from where is standing when Raffy laugh insanely.

“Can’t wait don’t we?” Raffy asked and turn his back to them and took a seat  near them.

“Trevor why did you took them again?” Raffy asked, as his gaze is turned into a particular man, that seems the leader of the men who took them.

“Elena wasn’t there when I get to their house, even in the village where that teacher and Elena lives, do I figured that it would be the easiest to lure Elena without even finding them.” the man named Trevor answered.

A pleased smile plastered on Raffy’s lips as he hears Trevor answer and applaud him.

“Woah!” Raffy exclaimed, “I didn’t know you had think that far.”

Raffy stood up as he commended Trevor and give him a tap on the shoulder.

“So all we need is to make our prey to take our bait.” Raffy stated and turn his gaze to Dr. Monte, Ms. Estrella and Dana’s mother.

“W-Where y-you going?” Dana asked as she recover and followed Lena who was now, was about to go outside.

“D-Do you even know w-where they are taken to?” Dana asked as she saw Lena halted from going outside.

Dana halted, when Lena turn to face her, for her face was no emotion and her eyes are cold that scares her even more, and brings chills in her system.

This is really not the Elena she is watching over at the school, for the Elena infront of her is totally different and dangerous, but what confuse her is how did Elena became like this, and when?

The Elena she knows was a totally timid that made her being favorite to bully in their school, not this and also not the Elena she witness killing the men brutally who abduct her before.

She is really confuse on how Elena is acting right know and what’s made it even more strange was Ma’am Eleanor and Dr. Montes is calling her Lena, and not Elena like she knows how being called.

“I will figure it out on how I will find them, just stay still.” Lena answered to Dana’s question icily.

“B-But.” Dana said but can’t find a words to go on.

“E-Elena wait!” Dana called when Lena started to take a step to leaving her.

But she halted from following Lena, when she saw a pocket knife just inches away from her face that made her eye widen and her body tremble more.

“I told you to stay  still didn’t?” Lena said still the pocket knife is pointing to Dana, “or o you want me to pierce this to you just to stop from following me.”

“Stay still, and stop annoying me, I don’t have patience to spare for you.” Lena stated as she draw her knife and left Dana, shock and trembling.

“By the way take this, stay there and wait for us to come back.” Lena said with her back on Dana and throw the key with address tag in it.

“H-Hmm…”

Dana responded as she watch Lena taking a path towards her car. Please take care Elena. She uttered in before turning her back to enter the house to fix some of the things they might need.

Lena was about to hail in her car when her phone rang, Lena took it from her pocket and saw that it was a unregistered number, and she immediately took it before she continue to hail on her car.

“Hello my dear niece!” A cheerful voice of Raffy said from the other line.

“I have the people your looking for, come and get them.” Raffy said as Lena continue to be silent.

“Let’s play hide and seek, but with a twist!” Raffy continuously said.

“I had your dear teacher, doctor and that woman place in a different location, and you will be going to seek them, but the twist is every 12 hours I will have them killed.” Raffy said, making Lena’s eye roll.

“Tsk!”

“Is that all you’ve got, a childish play?” Lena mockingly said, “I don’t care about them whether they will be killed or not. Go and kill them now I don’t have any time for your childish play.”

Lena hang up after she said that, for she know a man like Raffy is a big fool, he can’t have them killed not until he have what he wanted, for she completely can read his narrow mind.

And even he tried to harm them, her hand can might be slip and his precious properties can be blown. She didn’t come this far just to get everything she prepared go to waste.
