CHAPTER TWENTY SEVEN

They are currently having their breakfast, when one of the men in black barge in and called Elena, “Miss, can I talk to you?”

The man’s voice has an urgency in that’s why Elena immediately excuse herself. As she follow the man, she suddenly felt the familiar uneasiness that she had felt last night after she woke up from her dream.

Elena played her finger to ease what she’s feeling, that she didn’t notice they had arrive on the patio of the house that they were staying.

“W-What do you w-want to talk a-about it?” Stutter out of the uneasiness, Elena asked.

The man didn’t respond and just took the phone out of his pocket, and dialed something. After a while the man spoke that she think must be Mr. Vaughn for Mr. Vaughn was the one who send this people.

“Here, Miss.” the man said handing his phone after having a bit conversation to whom ever was on the other line of the phone.

Slowly she took it and politely said, “thanks.”

 “Hello?” she spoke as she place the phone on her ear.

“Elena, Its Mr. Vaugh. Now I want you guys to come with the men I sent there.” Mr. Vaughn told her with a urgency in his voice.

“W-Why?” Elena curiously asked.

“Raffy is coming there, and I want you guys out there asap.” Mr. Vaugh replied.

Elena felt herself stilled in a moment as he heard what Mr. Vaughn had informed. Does it mean what she is feeling uneasiness right now is right, and not because of her anxiety attacking.

“Elena?” Mr. Vaughn called to Elena making her to comeback to the reality.

“Y-Yeah, o-okay, I’ll inform other, thank you Mr. Vaughn.” Elena said before the call ended.

Elena gave the man in black a small smile and a thanks as she get the phone back to him, and hurriedly came to the dining, where others are waiting for her.

Dr. Monte saw Elena is being anxious as soon as she entered the dining, he saw her playing her fingers, which is he observed that Elena’s mannerism everytime she is anxious.

“Elena, is there something wrong?” He asked. “Your anxious.”

“W-We need to—” Elena was about to say was cut when they heard a gun shot outside making them scream.

“W-What is happening?!” Ms. Estrella asked terrified.

Their attention was caught by a loud thud coming from the living room and was followed by another gun shot. A man who called Elena a while ago appeared.

“Follow me, quick!” the man ordered, motioning them to go out side the back door.

Dr. Monte let the ladies first while helping Dana to assist her mother, they flinch and get down everytime they hearing a gunshot.

“Ahh!”

The girl shouted again as the bullet broke through the window, while they were escaping. As the second bullet come through the window again, a man who were assisting them got shot, and Elena stopped as she heard the man groaned.

“Elena!” Ms. Estrella and Dr. Monte called in chorus as they saw Elena halted.

“I-I’m okay, go!” the man ordered and took his gun that he lost on hold when he got shot.

The man held Elena on her arms until they succeeded to come out of the house.

“This way!” another man said who was waiting for them at the back door.

The exchange gun shots continued, and they already saw a few dead bodies on there way to the SUV that the men told them that they will ride.

“Brat!” Elena heard someone call from the distance that made her halt and rooted in her place.

The next thing she heard was a gun shot coming from the man who was assisting them. And the man who called her disappeared.

“Let’s go Miss.” the man said that made Elena’s gaze turned to the man.

The next thing she know, was she being drag for her legs doesn’t want to move anymore and her body tremble after he saw the man who called her.

“Nick… It hurts please let me go!” Elena heard the voice of a child crying while pleading.

“L-Lain, please I-I will not going to do it a-again.” she heard again.

The voice of the kid was shivering in cold at the same time was in pained, and it also familiar to her.

As they reached the SUV, Elena stay the same, her thought is wandering, while her body tremble.

“Elena!” Dr. Monte tried to call Elena as the SUV drive off.

“NO! PLEASE! PLEASE! STOP!” Elena shouted all of a sudden while smacking her own head that made the person inside the SUV alert.

Dr. Monte immediately took Elena’s hands to stop her, while Ms. Estrella is taking Elena’s pill that she always had with her.

Elena currently having an episode, as her body tremble and her voice was sounded scared and in pain as she mumble.

Her episode continues as the men who attacked them was at chase, and at this state if Elena’s episode continues it will be hard for them.

“Elena? Elena!” Dr. Monte called as Elena passed out shaking Elena’s shoulder.

The SUV was about to turn to the corner, when the another car appeared all of a sudden, and rained them bullets, ,making the windows broken.

Luckily, they were about to get down, but the SUV became out of control.

Shout of fear filled the SUV as the vehicle wobbly and the next thing they felt was the SUV if falling down.

Meanwhile Raffy immediately get down the car as he saw the SUV where Elena was is falling down the cliff.

“Is everyone okay?” the man asked as the SUV stop.

Groans are what the people inside SUV responded. There dizzy and was hurt by the impact of the car while is was falling, but not enough to hurt them much.

From the distance they heard a gun shots again, making them flinch, the men who are assisting them signaled them to stay on there position.

“We need to come out, the enemy seems approaching.” the man  declared.

Elena was gaining her consciousness as the man slowly moved to the door to come out.

“Elena?” Dana uttered as she saw Elena moved.

Dr. Monte and Ms. Estrella immediately checked Elena’s state but they were halted.

“Why?” Dana ask as she saw the two adults halted.

But was cut when a door on there side opened by the man who were assisting them.

“Come out now, faster!” the man said with urgency.

The SUV driver come down again to help them, and there system was covered in fear as they saw the men who are chasing them was getting down to the cliff.

“Faster!” the man shouted, but was halted when Dana and Elena, didn’t bulge inside the car.

Dana was wide eye as she stared at the blood on her hands, and Lena was staring at it as well.

Ms. Estrella gasp while Dr. Monte stilled to where they are when they saw the blood on Dana’s hands.

The blood was from Dana’s mother, whom they didn’t notice that had been shot when they were rained by the bullets.

The man was assisting them didn’t waste anymore time and took Dana’s Mom.

“We can’t waste our time, we need to move.” the man said as he carried Dana’s mom in a bridal style.

Dana sobbed, as she saw how many blood came out from her Mom, as the man removes her.

While Lena was just staring at her, they move fast as they heard a gun shot again.

The cliff where they fell was near in the woods, and that’s where they entered.

“s**t!” Raffy cussed as they approach the  SUV and found no one but the blood on the back seat.

“ARGH!”

“Search the woods, those parasite are not that far yet!” he ordered to his men.

“Kill everyone you will see except Elena.” he shouted as his men was about to start spreading.

“Yes, Sir!” his men responded and started to leave.

Raffy was annoyed, but his annoyance immediately disappeared and turn to smirk as he saw droplets of blood on the leaves.

Handing his gun, he followed the blood on the leaves, and his smirk grew as it leads him towards the wood.

“So this is where you went.” he uttered.

Lena was following the group when a bullet hit on the pine tree near her.

“There here, move!” she said and took the gun on the holster that is carrying Dana’s mom.

“Miss!” the man said but was halted when Lena bore a cold look on him.

“I said move.” she icily ordered.

“Lena.” Ms. Estrella uttered worriedly, but as like what she did to the man that is carrying, Dana’s mom, she just gave her a cold look.

“Tsk!”

“Too stubborn.” Lena uttered annoyed and point the gun to them, making everyone stilled and shocked.

“I said move, or you just want me to kill you.” Lena warned that made them move.

“I will leave Ian, to you miss.” the man said, pertaining to the driver of the SUV.

Nodded, Lena watched the group to leave, and when she saw a man with gun approaches she started to exchange a gun shot, and so the man named Ian.

“Do you have knife?” she asked to the man who seemed protecting her while busy exchanging bullets to the men who as chasing them.

“Yes, Miss.” the man  responded.

“Give those to me.” Lena said, that the man immediately gave.

“But, Miss what are you going to do with this?” the man asked, while taking the knifes that is hidden to his suit.

Lena just responded with a smirk, and came out from where is she hiding, making the man she is with, eye widen.

“Miss!” the man called but, Lena just signaled the man to stop.

 The other side halted when they saw Lena out from where is she hiding, that made Lena smirked.

“Brat!” someone called Lena all of a sudden, and smirk as she saw who is it.

Nick slowly approach Lena with raging eyes, and annoyance for the Lena’s smirk.

“I never though your still alive, Nick.” Lena said as Nick approaches her closer and closer.

Nick was one of Elena’s foster parents, and also made Lena came out of Elena after an extreme abuse that Elena had got through, and the day in the middle of rain while Elena was tied and the ants are biting her was Elena’s limit, and made Lena.

“You will pay for what you’ve done to us, brat!” Nick angrily said, and pointed his gut to Lena.

Nick was about to fire the gun when he felt a bullet his shoulder making him get off hold with his gun.

“I told you, your chance to have this girl was finished years ago right?” A voice of Raffy said all of a sudden.

Lena, smirk as she  saw Raffy coming out, out of nowhere, and turn her gaze toward to Nick, calculating the scene and the next move that the two or Raffy’s men might do.

Lena secretly signal the she is with to finish everyone quietly except the two with her, for this is for her.

“No!” Nick shouted in thunderously opposing Raffy and point his gun again to Lena.

Raffy’s jaw clenched and pointed his gun as well to Nick.

Lena smirk grew wider, as she heard to simultaneous groan of the men, and that’s her cue to move. As Nick was closer as was shortly distracted, she took the knife out of her pocket and three it to his chest, making him collapse.

And turned to Raffy and threw a knife that hit his shoulder, that made her smirk.
