CHAPTER EIGHTEEN

“The one of the three men who killed my parents.” Elena answered, “I saw him a while ago.”

“What do you mean?” Dr. Monte asked confusingly, “have you already regain your memories?”

Elena shake her head and said, “no, I haven’t, but the guy were there in my dream!”

Panicking, Elena can’t contain what is she feeling. Ms. Estrella came closer to Elena and embrace her, hoping that it will calm Elena from panicking and anxiousness. She never know what’s in Elena’s dream last night, to be like this, all she knows Elena was dreaming about her parents for she was calling them last night.

“Calm down Elena, okay?” Dr. Monte said.

“Is there anyway to regain my memories doctor?” Elena asked all of a sudden, after a while that she calmed down.

“There is, but it will only occur to your willingness to regain it again.” Dr. Monte replied.

Confused, Elena brows knotted and asked again, ”what do you mean doctor?”

Dr. Monte heave a heavy sigh, and stared directly at Elena eyes as he fix himself to where is he seating.

“Elena, your amnesia is made by you, because of the traumatized event you experience, you had yourself to forget everything, or we can say you delete it, for your brain can’t handle what you experience back then.” Dr. Monte explained.

“So if you want to regain it, you must sure that you wanted it. So then we can perform another hypnosis therapy to help you regain your memories, but there’s a possible consequences that we can encounter over the therapy.” Dr. Monte informed directly.

“What is it?” Elena asked with brows knotted.

“If your brain is not ready for the hypnosis, and we perform it with unsurely in yourself, your memories can might be erase permanently, that’s why we must only perform it, if you, yourself is ready.” Dr. Monte said frankly.

“What about Lena?” Elena asked, “You told me that Lena remembered everything, right?”

Elena said as an idea occurred in her mind, well she’s not sure if it will work but she must know everything as soon as possible, to know what would she do, for she know her life is in danger, that can might be affect her aunt Elle.

“Yes she is, but your multiple personality is quite to handle.” Dr. Monte answered.

Elena saw a glimpse of fear on Dr. Monte’s eyes as he answered, for Elena didn’t know how Elena threatened, both Dr. Monte and her Aunt Elle, for not meddle in her business.

Elena fell into deep thoughts, as she think the possible way of  connecting with Lena on her mind more longer, than they currently have, for she and Lena can only talk for a few, but not that long.

As a new idea appeared on her mind, Elena stood up making the two adults surprise.

“What’s wrong Elena?” Ms. Estrella asked.

Elena shake her head, and turn to Dr. Monte who was just staring at her, as if he was waiting Elena to say what’s on her mind.

“Dr. Monte can you perform a hypnosis therapy, I want to talk to Lena badly if its okay, we could do it today.” Elena said directly to Dr. Monte.

“Are you sure?” Dr. Monte asked to make sure.

Nodding Elena said, “Yes, for this is the only way I can think to know everything, to ask Lena for help.”

Dr. Monte nod in understanding as Elena finished tell her plans, and turn to Ms. Estrella who was just there, silently listening to their conversation.

Dr. Monte allowed the therapy to be perform, and now Elena found herself eaten by the familiar, relaxing darkness as her consciousness and concentration, became more sharper.

Closing her eyes, Elena tried to put all of her concentration on her surrounding, and as the noise that she was hearing a while ago vanished, she reached the deep part of her sub consciousness.

“Lena.” Elena uttered calling to her alter personality.

“Lena.” Elena tried again as she hear no response.

“Elena,” Lena finally answered on the second call, “what do you need?”

Elena can hear the coldness on Lena’s voice, that made her contemplate whether she will  a help for her alter personality or not, but after thinking what she need to know, urge her to go on.

“I want to ask you to help me to know everything about past.” Elena said to Lena.

“Okay.” Lena said, making Elena surprise for Lena’s immediate answer.

Elena heard Lena chuckle, and asked, “why are you so surprised?”

“Because I didn’t thought that you will give your answer to me that fast.” Elena replied.

“Its because I know why you are seeking me, and I saw it too… The man, I mean.” Lena said

  “But will you let me come out now?” Lena asked to Elena all of a sudden.

“Huh, right now?” Elena asked confusingly.

“Yes, don’t worry I won’t the two adults, for their precious to you, I was just having fun to threatened them, but that’s just a empty threat.” Lena said in a playful tone, making Elena awe from what she just heard.

“Y-You threatened t-them?” Elena asked in awe.

She know for sure that her eyes are wide open ad so her mouth, for she can’t believe that her multiple personality is this crazy, to make an empty threat.

 “Oh, don’t be like that, remember I am you, and you are me, so blame your hidden childishness to occur to me.” Lena said, still playful and chuckle afterwards.

“So now, will you let me?” Lena said, “The time is running you know.”

Elena was in awe as Lena voice turned into a serious one. Elena made herself that her multiple personality might also have an illness of bipolar disorder for her mood, changes simultaneously and unexpected.

“Okay.” Elena answered, allowing Lena to come out this time.

Dr. Monte observe Elena as her brows knotted, in the middle of sleeping state hypnosis. Dr. Monte attention turned to Ms. Estrella as she spoke.

“Harris, will this really work?” Ms. Estrella asked worriedly. “I’m scared for Elena.”

‘’I don’t know for now, but let’s just trust Elena,” Dr. Monte said staring at Elena, “this kid is surely strong, I know she will able to win this illness and even what is she going through now.”

Dr. Monte said with full of hope towards Elena, and turned to Ms. Estrella and smiled and her. He knows for sure that Elena will win, for he can see that the kid is a fighter and willing to do anything to be cure, and now seeing Elena seeking help to solve what is need to solve is a good sign and her being open to her thought, is alone a great sign that Elena has a trust on him, that the doctor and a patients like them needs to do in order to treat Elena’s illness well.

As for Ms. Estrella, she forgot that Elena is fighter, who have gone through much, as worry and fear engulfed her for Elena’s safety, but that can’t be erase on her system, because for her, Elena is  a daughter in her heart. But, after what Dr. Monte had said, she realize that must put her trust to Elena, for she can now see how Elena is fighting, not only on her mental illness but also her past, and decided just to keep on Elena’s back as she fight, and protect the thing that Lena asked her to protect.

And as they both saw, Dr. Monte and her on how Elena’s eyes opened, they must say that Elena had finished her first pace on her plan, that is to make Lena come outside, and like they seeing right now, a cold gaze turn to stare upon them, that only means Lena has come out.

“Hello, both of you,” Lena said as her mischievous smile plastered on her lips, “ Lena has returned.”
