CHAPTER THIRTY NINE

“How are you?” Ms. Estrella asked as soon as she opened her eyes.

She just nod as a response to ease the worriedness in her Aunt Elle’s face, and smile a bit before turning her gaze to Dr. Monte, who was giving her a gentle smile that she responded also.

“Ahm.”

“I’m sorry, but can I talk to Dr. Harris for a while?” she asked excusing herself and Dr. Monte.

Elena saw her Aunt Elle throw a worried glance to Dr. Monte, but he consoled her immediately by mouthing her, Its okay. From then her Aunt Elle nod and turn to face her again.

“Okay, we will just be outside.” Her Aunt Elle said, before leaving with Ian.

“What you did is dangerous, you tried to stop Lena from coming out.” Dr. Monte said worried, as soon as her room door closes.

“You could have a mental breakdown if Ian, didn’t able to stopped it.” Dr. Monte added.

“B-But I must stop it, the girls will be in danger if I didn’t do that.” Elena explained.

She didn’t know what she did a while ago is bad for her, but what she could do? She knows Lena, and she don’t want anyone to be harm nor killed by Lena anymore. She was still haven’t moving on from the information about Lena had killed, and as much as she wanted to turn herself into the jail, but she can’t, atleast not yet.

Not until she make sure that they were safe and Lena is still existing, she can’t. She can’t bare to have someone to hurt her for Lena will going to make whoever that person pay.

After their conversation, Dr. Monte called Ian and had talk to him as well privately, leaving her with her Aunt Elle.

“You have your nose bleed none stop a while ago, I thought something bad happened to you.” Ms. Estrella stated.

“I’m sorry, I scared and made you worried again.” Elena said apologetically and put her hands around Ms. Estrella for a hug.

Elena assured her Aunt Elle not to be worried again because she is now fine, that Dr. Monte also assured to ease her Aunt Elle from worrying. After a few hours, Dr. Monte let Elena to get home to rest, and Ms. Estrella insisted to come with her.

Elena let her Aunt Elle to come with them in one condition, that Ms. Estrella immediately agreed which is, she will spend a night in Elena’s penthouse that made her glee.

They arrived at the penthouse at 5:39pm, and as she and her Aunt Ella was about to enter her room, Ian came to stop them while holding a phone in his hand.

“Mr. Vaughn is in the other line.” Ian informed.

Elena excuse herself and told Ms. Estrella to come in her room before taking the call.

“I’m sorry I wasn’t even able to go to Dr. Monte’s clinic to check up on you.” Her grandpa said as soon as she took the call.

“By the way, how are you feeling now? Is there anything that is hurting to you?” Mr. Vaughn worriedly asked that made Elena smile.

“I’m good grandpa, don’t worry.” She said comforting Mr. Vaughn.

She heard her grandpa withdrawing a heavy breath from the other line, and she know that her grandpa is now mad, but she still trying her best to calm him down.

“I am requesting for the students who did that you, an expulsion.” Mr. Vaughn informed.

Elena didn’t say anything and just let her grandpa to do anything that she thought as well that is right, for the sake as well of other students and teachers that feared the girls.

Their conversation goes on but was cut, when Mr. Vaugh’s secretary came and remind him another appointment that he needs to attend to. Mr. Vaughn told her not to worry anymore and just took care of herself.

 As she put the call down, Elena told Ian not to bother her for a while for she going to rest for a while.

“How is it?” Ms. Estrella asked as soon as she get inside her room.

“It was good, grandpa just called to check me.” She replied.

Ms. Estrella smiled and urge Elena to sit beside her on Elena’s bed, where she is seating, that Elena did, and as soon as Elena seated, her Aunt hugged her tightly.

“Did you miss me that much?” Elena teased.

“Yeah, you meanie lady.” Ms. Estrella responded that made Elena giggle.

“Me too,” Elena said. “Stay here for 2 more days please.”

Ms. Estrella happily nod, as Elena hugged her back as well. I miss this, she thought. Its been  long time since Elena did this to her, and it was when Dan was still alive and Elena was only 17 that time. And now holding Elena like this, it feels like yesterday.

Her Aunt Elle stayed with her in 2 days just like what she requested, and also Dr. Monte visited to checked on her again, and within those days, she was happy for it feels like the old days, less her Mommy Dan and Alfred though, but that’s okay for she had Dr. Monte, Ian and her grandpa now. She feels carefree like something didn’t happened to her days ago.

That’s what adults want, for don’t want Elena to be worried about what happened days ago, that might stopped her from getting better, for its been a while for Ms. Estrella to see Elena being jolly, and as much as she want, she wanted to see the old Elena, before her nightmares, and breakdown started.

A sound of a fan was Dana hear as she regain her consciousness, but she can’t open her eyes yet for the piercing pain on her head is killing her, that cause her moan.

What happened? She thought. Then a glimpse of what happened on her apartment appeared on her head that made her bulge and forcedly opened her eyes, only to find that she is in the basement of their house.

“Your awake.” She heard Raffy’s voice from somewhere.

She now can’t call Raffy her father, well she should have not called him father from the start for he never be a father to her.

“Let me out of here, I will kill you!” Dana shouted.

She doesn’t care about her throbbing pain in her head, for all she wanted now is to kill Raffy, herself. She doesn’t care if she would die now, killing Raffy is the most important now.

“Nah, never. I know what you are planning, and I will not going to burst my cover.” Raffy said.

“I will get back at them, to all of them and you are not the one that will going to make me fail.”
