CHAPTER TWENTY

“Who is she Lena?” Ms. Estrella asked in wonder about the girl that Lena brought in the Dr. Monte’s clinic.

Ms. Estrella and Dr. Monte was surprise when Lena, entered the clinic with a girl carrying on her back, and blood is all over her shirt.

“She’s the daughter of Raffy Mirabello, now treat her.” Lena ordered as she turned to Dr. Monte

Dr. Monte immediately, moved to treat Dana who is now getting pale because of losing lots of blood. Ms. Estrella gasped as she saw how blood is coming out on Dana’s wounded shoulder.

“She already loss lots of blood, I can’t treat her here, we must go to the nearest hospital.” Dr. Monte informed turning to Lena, after seeing the Dana’s state.

“Then take her. I’ll follow after I took down the rat whose tailing me, just use the fire exit of this building, if you don’t want to get killed.” Lena said that made the two adult shock.

But after a while they calm themselves down, and nod to Lena who remain having a stoic cold face. Dr. Monte took the spare wheelchair that he has on the clinic to put the girl there with Ms. Estrella assisting.

They were confused on why Lena come out again, with the wounded girl, and who is Raffy Mirabello she said, but they must save the girl that Lena brought first, then they might have a chance to ask Lena later after they save the girl.

Leaving Lena behind. They took the fire exit, but before they left, Ms. Estrella reminded Lena to care, but Lena didn’t answer and just motioned them to get out.

Lena smirk as she saw the man who is tailing her, as she got out of the building. The rat is here, I’m wondering what would I do with him. Lena thought, as she take the darkest part of the building,

Lena stop in the middle of the darkest part of the side of the building, and she heard the man who is tailing her stopped too.

Lena smirk as the man stop just a few steps from her behind, and in a blink Lena pointed the cutter on man’s throat. Lena mischievous smirk grew wider as she saw how the man eyes grew wider.

“P-Please d-don’t k-kill me!” the man said in panic with his both hand lifted as a surrender.

“Who are you, and why are you following me?” Lena asked icily as her eyes.

“I’m MC (Mirabello Company) lawyer, I-I am sent by the president!” the lawyer replied.

Fear and panic can be seen at the lawyer’s face as his sweat drip and his adams apple moved repeatedly, making Lena smirk.

“President?” Lena asked, still the cutter is on the lawyer’s throat.

Nodding, the lawyer replied, “Y-Yes, Mr. Vaughn asked me to tail y-you.”

“And why is that?” Lena asked playfully this time.

“Because you’re the heiress of MC, and Mr. Vaughn just recently found you, that’s why he sent me, to you.” the lawyer explained.

“How would I know if you are telling the truth. Hmm?” Lena asked, leaning her face closer to the man, while staring at the man with her cold eyes, intently.

“H-H-Here.” the lawyer replied showing his phone to Lena with his trembling hands.

“Y-Y-You can c-call him if y-you wanted to.” the lawyer said again, handing the phone to Lena.

Lena stared at the phone for a second before moving her hands with cutter on the man’s throat. Lena heard the man’s relieve deep sigh as she separate the cutter on his throat, and with a trembling hand the man waited Lena to take the phone he’s handing.

Taking the phone, Lena dialled the said cellphone number that the man told her to dial, which is owned by a certain Mr. Vaughn. A few rings came after a baritone voice speak up from the other line.

“Mr. Han, did you find, Ms. Mirabello?” Lena heard the man asked from the other line to the lawyer that must be Mr. Han.

“What do you want from me?” Lena speak up coldly, making the other line suddenly became quiet.

“L-Lady Elena, is t-that you?” the man named Mr. Vaughn asked.

“Who else do you think,” Lena replied, “Now, tell me who are you and what do you want from me?”

“I am your parents right hand, and has their last will.” Mr. Vaughn answered.

Lena smirked as she heard Mr. Vaughn’s answered, as she throw a playful yet cold look at the lawyer infront of her, thanks for the moonlight, she was able to see the man’s feared expression.

“Tell me a valid reason to make me believe what you are saying.” Lena ordered in a cold tone.

“Mr. Han will  give you something as a proof, can you loud the speaker for me? ” Mr. Vaughn asked, on the other line.

Lena loud the cellphone speaker, and as Mr. Vaughn told Mr. Han to give her the proof. Mr. Han immediately took the white envelop in his suit and hand it to Lena.

Lena took it, and as she open the while envelop, she took the paper in it and saw that it is her parents letter.

The letter is already yellowish maybe because it has been written years ago, Lena knows that the letter was from her parents because of the seal that she was the one who made with the help of her Mom.

Lena carefully unfold the letter but, she didn’t read it, and get back to her conversation with Mr. Vaughn. And as their conversation go on, Lena agreed to meet Mr. Vaughn at the day and time that she set, and told Mr. Vaughn to stop Mr. Han from tailing her in a form of warning and joke with a half truth and joke.

As Lena and Mr. Han separated, Mr. Han gave Lena another letter that came from Mr. Vaughn before they separated.

Now, Lena was on her way to the hospital were Ms. Estrella and Dr. Monte took Dana. After 2 minutes of driving Lena arrived at the hospital.

“Elena!” Ms. Estrella exclaimed with worry in her eyes as she saw Lena arrived.

“W-What happened, a-are you hurt?” Ms. Estrella asked worriedly,.

“Don’t exaggerated, I’m fine.” Lena replied showing Ms. Estrella that she’s completely fine.

“What about her?” Lena asked afterwards while pointing at Dana.

“She’s okay, though she had a raptured vessel on her shoulder, but the doctor was able to save her, thankfully her blood type is available on the blood bank so they were able to give her blood.” Dr. Monte explained.

Lena just nod, but when she saw Dr. Monte and Ms. Estrella’s curious eyes about something, she spoke for she know what are their curious with.

“That girl is the daughter of Raffy Mirabello, the one who abduct me.” Lena spoke, making the two adults shock.

“T-Then why did you take her, and Mirabello?” Ms. Estrella asked with confused look.

“Her father is my step uncle and that make that girl my cousin. Don’t worry about her, she will not going to harm us.” Lena said.

Lena send Dr. Monte and Ms. Estrella when the evening is getting late, Lena asked Dr. Monte to let Ms. Estrella to stay with him for a while, even Ms. Estrella is declining, but after she said its for her safety, Ms. Estrella come to Dr. Monte and its been days after they come up with that agreement for its started after Lena come out to help Elena about her past.

 Days past quickly, and Dana is now discharging, and those days Lena remain on the outside. Lena found out that Dana’s mother was held as a hostage to make Dana harm Elena.

“W-What will you do now?’ Dana asked nervously as she stared at Lena  as they walk towards the hospital exit.

“None of your business.” Lena answered coldly.

“M-My Mom w-what would happen to her?” Lena heard Dana asked that made her eyes rolled in irritation.

“Your Mom is with the old woman, and doctor I am with.” Lena said nonchantly leaving Dana stilled in surprise.

A day before Lena took Dana’s mother on Raffy Mirabello’s house leaving a few human casualties as Raffy isn’t there when she came, what an i***t right? Lena thought.

Lena was able to also find out that Leonel is also Dana’s brother making her smirk as a suspicion came to her, but she doesn’t want that to come out yet for she still having fun playing with Raffy.

She will make sure that his downfall will be more miserable than he is now, and kill hem slowly that she will ensurely enjoy.

A loud bang from his office table echoed on Raffy’s office as she found out that Dana’s mother, is missing and what more in no one knows who took her.

Even Dana is missing, but he didn’t care. That trash daughter of him is a failure, and if just Leonel still here, he wouldn’t need to relay to his failure useless daughter. He thought.

A knock on the door cut his thought and he saw his men entered the office.

“What now?” Raffy asked with her jaw clench.

“Mr. Vaughn had connected with Elena.” his men informed him.

“That old man!” Raffy sain in gritted teeth and clench fist as he heard his men.

“Take that old man down, Asap or else I will be the one to kill you, understand?!” Raffy ordered.

“Yes sir!” his men responded and was about to leave when he stop it.

“On the other thought, take Vaughn to me, I need him.” Raffy said, smirking as he remembered something important he had been forgotten.

It seems I have found my ace… Raffy thought while smirking.
