FINAL CHAPTER

 After 3 more days Elena finally regain her consciousness, and as soon as she woke up, she wept for her grandpa and Ian’s death. They found out that Elena witness it all before Lena took over her.

Dr. Monte didn’t waste anytime and proceed for Elena’s psychological therapy as soon as the funeral ended. Mr. Vaughn’s funeral with a people in the company send their condolences to Elena and promised her a support as soon as she will take over the company.

Unfortunately, Mr. Vaughn seems know what will happened and readied everything for Elena, including the people who will going to help Elena to the company. All the assets from MIrabello and Vaughn family went to Elena’s name.

Elena went back to her old house which is her foster parents house, after she deal with everything that her grandpa left to her.

She mourned inside the house for a month and Ms. Estrella together with Dr. Monte will just visit to check up on her, to gave her space to mourn for they understand what is Elena going through, they just kept their distance but their eyes was on guard for Elena’s could possibly do to herself.

5 Months Later

Elena is currently  on Dr. Monte’s clinic, she went to talk to him about Lena, for after what happened that cost her grandpa and Ian’s life, she wasn’t able to feel nor hear Lena anymore. It was like she was gone in a instant after that.

She mourned inside her house for 3 months and she went outside after when she realize that she need to move even how hard it is and another reason was Lena’s disappearance.

“What do you mean?” Dr. Monte asked wondering as soon as she told him everything from the start where she cannot able to feel Lena.

“I can’t hear nor feel her anymore. What does it mean?” Elena asked curiously.

Dr. Monte didn’t answer immediately and stood up and took some charts that he created  and research just for Elena’s rare case.

Lena had a vengeful personality and Raffy’s death was might have something to do with it that’s why Lena became quite, according to his research, DID might not be curable but, there are cases that the alter personality had disappeared all of a sudden if that personality that the primary personality need to use to cope up is isn’t triggering anymore.

And that’s the only reason that he can see why Lena is not coming, nor heard and feel by Elena anymore.

“Elena, from what I had researched about your case, your alter personality might had finished what’s triggering with it.” He explained, “you said that Lena was gone after we last saw her?”

Elena nod, “yes, eversince then, she was like disappeared all of a sudden.”

“I mean, she might not coming out and just keeping quite before but I can still hear her before, but now she was suddenly gone.” Elena explained.

“Then, we can say that’s what the case, knowing Raffy being alive back then only triggering her, for you made her like that.” Dr. Monte stated, “you want to avenge your parents but you were traumatize by the events you went through as a child.”

“And that, makes you alter a personality that can make you cope up again at the same time can do what you want to do to avenge your parents, that’s why Lena’s personality come out.” Dr. Monte ended.

“So do you mean that Lena might not coming out anymore?” she asked curiously.

“Probably.” Dr. Monte replied.

Elena didn’t say a word after that, and let herself fell into thoughts. She think about Lena, she thought as how can she thanked Lena, if Lena is now gone.

Although she admitted that Lena might be wrong taking lives specially those innocent, but Lena, had helped her a lot from the beginning up until her revenge had done. She is the one who defends her, and scold her a lot using her mind whenever she wanted to do something that will only leads her to danger, like when she run away to seek for Raffy, but she blocked her.

She regret that because of that, her grandpa is now gone and at the same time she lost a older brother in Ian’s personality.

“Is there still a way to make Lena out?” She asked as her thoughts came back to the reality.

“I want to atleast thank her, and at the same time we could know what happened why is she suddenly gone.” She said.

Dr. Monte sighed and nod, he agreed to what Elena had said, “We can still do hypnosis again, do you want it?”

She nod multiple times as a respond, with a thoughts of end everything now, and at the same time thank Lena, but first she need a confirmation from Lena.

Dr. Monte didn’t waste anytime and began the procedure of hypnosis to Elena. At first Elena was responsive but after a while, she became silent but her expressions was there indicating that she is the deep of her consciousness.

He waited an hour before he finally saw a very familiar cold eyes opened and turn to gaze at him. Lena he thought.

“Hi! Doctor! Miss me?” Lena said her mischievous smirk and cold eyes is still there.

“I heard you’ve been quiet, so Elena decided to call you out,” He said.

“Sweet!  I became uninterested when I killed her uncle that’s why, and I can see that she doesn’t need me anymore so I didn’t want to come out anymore,” she explained.

“And you know doctor just do your job and make this kid better. I’m done can I go now?” Lena asked casually not letting the doctor say a word, she closed her eyes.

“Oh! By the way tell this kid Elena to take care of herself and don’t let others bully her if she doesn’t want me to come out again, Bye Doctor!” Lena said while her eyes were closed.

Doctor Monte startled. Doctor Monte stared at Elena’s face. He smiled when he thought Lena’s words.

“Doctor Monte?” Doctor Monte stared Elena, he knows it. Elena has gentle smile and gaze her angelic face suites her, while Lena on the other hand had mischievous smile and cold gaze that sometimes make him nervous.

“Have you able to talk to her?” he asked as Elena got up.

“Yeah did, but she asked if she could come out to tell you something.”  She said, “what does she told you? Can I asked?”

Elena eyed Dr. Monte with full of curiosity when she saw him nod and gave her a smile.

“Lena said, take care of yourself or she’ll come out again,” Dr. Monte said.

“You mean? She won’t come out anymore?” Elena asked clarifying what she think it is.

Dr. Monte nod, “ Yes, but only if you would not anyone harm you or she’ll come back again, that what she said.” Dr. Monte said and went closer to reach Elena’s shoulder to tapped it.

“Lena became your guardian you are not aware you had. She maybe vengeful but she just want to protect you even her ways are wrong.” Dr. Monte said, that Elena agreed, she knows it.

“Don’t worry, I’ll help you. Split personality may be incurable, other personalities can may appear again but I’m going to help you to prevent it. All you need to do is to trust me and cooperate, Okay?”  Doctor Monte said.

“Okay.” Elena replied with nod and smile.

She was glad and feel at peace now, after talking to Lena, and knowing that her mission is now finally finished, though it still sadden her that she had to lost her love once because of it, but, she is now sure that her parents, foster parents, grandpa, Dana, her Mom and Ian are now happy together, wherever they are now.

Elena recovered fast from her nightmares and anxieties. Lena’s presence and voice inside her head had completely gone ever since that day that she do hypnosis one last time with Doctor Monte.

Elena decided to turn herself in to jail, to pay for what Lena did to the innocents, but the judge and prosecution, pled her not guilty for they didn’t able to see evidence, even Elena helped them in secret to find evidence.

And because of that, she just decided to train and study about her family’s company, to just helped her school mates family that died from Lena’s hand.

2 Years Later

Elena is now a successful business woman, many had said that she got her skills in business from her Mirabello bloodline. She became independent and the old Elena was now gone.

She is in her office when her office door opened, and her secretary entered, “Excuse me Ma’am, Ms. Estrella is here.”

Elena can’t help but to let a gleeful smile came out on her lips, as she heard what her secretary had told her.

“Where is sh—” her word was cut, when her office door revealing her Aunt Elle.

Elena, didn’t waste anytime and went to her Aunt Elle who just came from her honeymoon with Dr. Monte or what she now call Uncle Harris.

The two got married one month ago after, Dr. Monte got retired as a doctor, but he is maybe not a doctor anymore who handles patients, but Dr. Monte is now the most famous doctor for psychiatry, he earn the title after he was able to help her recover from her dual case whom is the only one in the country.

“I missed you! When did you came back? Where’s Uncle Harris?” She asked, as they separate from their tight hug.

Ms. Estrella was about to answer Elena when, the door opened and Dr. Harris entered.

“There he is.” She said as soon Dr. Monte completely entered the office.

“Uncle!” Elena shouted in glee and went to meet Dr. Monte also.

“How are you Elena?” Dr. Monte asked with gentle smile, that made Elena pout.

“Not that question again, you still sounded like I’m your patient.” Elena said pouting.

Dr. Monte’s chuckled by Elena’s response and went close to the two woman of his life now.

“Someone is getting grumpy in the morning, Hon.” Dr. Monte teased to Elena, while looking at his wife Ms. Estrella whom now Mrs. Monte.

“Don’t be grumpy lady, we have a surprise for you.” Dr. Monte said, happily as he took out the thin envelop from his back and gave it to Elena.

“What is this?” Elena curiously asked, while opening it.

Elena’s mouth formed oh when she saw what is it, as the two adults chuckle by her reaction.

“Is this real?!” she asked unbelievably.

The couple nod, in response. Elena felt a tears of joy flow from her eyes. The papers she is holding now is the proof that she is now cured.

“I am healed! I’m healed!” Elena shouted in glee and went to embrace her Aunt Elle and Uncle Harris, that the couple immediately responded.

“Thank you! Thank you!” She said as she separate from them and see the joyful smile from their both lips.

She is grateful for all her love ones who protected her, loved her, suffered with her took care of her and didn’t gave up on her, they are the one who pushes her to have a desire to recover. They might be gone now and her Aunt Elle and Uncle might only remain but she is happy.

Memories are oath to remember and reminisce, it gave us sad, traumatic, happy experience but that was also can brings us lessons, and treasure we can surely keep forever, because everything happened for a reason.
