CHAPTER THREE

Candice started to step backward little by little when Lena started to take a step towards her.

She’s can feel her body trembling while looking at Lena’s face. “She’s crazy! Elena is crazy!” Candice said in her mind.

Candice is about to run but Lena was able to grasp her arm before she could take a step.

”Opps! Where are do you think you’re going? Come on! We haven’t start the fun! Don’t be unfair.” Lena said her mischievous smile and playful tone never leave her.

“Get your hand off me! Let me go you crazy peasant!” Candice said angrily aloud hoping someone will hear her or notice them.

She scanned the place where they are to see if there’s someone around but, she forgot it is still lunch time, and she know that every students is still in the cafeteria eating, and even they’re not, they’re probably somewhere.

“Help! Hel-“ Candice shout but it was cut when Lena grasp her neck. Making her choke.

”You know? I always like my prey screaming loudly while I’m killing them slowly.” Lena said while looking at Candice choking and grasping for air, trying to free herself from Lena’s grasp.

“And Oh! By the way. Do you know Sanya Santillan? Well, I’m sure you did! She was one of your friend right? Say hi! for me when you meet her okay? Tell her she entertained so much with her pleads and screams. ” Lena said afterwards while smiling, entertainment can be seen in her eyes while staring at Candice that looks is like going to past out real soon.

“Oh! Poor you..Look at you, looking like a trash!” Lena said mockingly while caressing Candice face using her free hand. Candice eyes were pooled of tears, she’s trembling, she didn’t want to die, but what can she do? Elena is crazy and stronger than her, and she can feel herself out of breath.

“Well, now time to go and meet your Santillan friend, you too entertained me as well, so you must be rewarded.” Lena said, Candice tried to shake her head while looking at Elena’s cold eyes but Elena pressed a nerve on Candice mercilessly making Candice die.

Lena found a rope hanging on the pole near her, and smirk when she got an idea.

“There, Better” Lena said as she look on Candice dead body on a tree near the green house garden and when she feel satisfied she left like nothing happened while humming.

Mrs. Estrella is already there when Lena arrived in the classroom, she went straight to her chair not minding her classmates and professors gaze.

“Where have you been Ms. Mirabello? The bell ringed 30 minutes ago.” Ms. Estrella said while eyeing Elena who looks like bored. Elena just lifted her lunch box to show Mrs. Estrella, Mrs. Estrella sigh.

“Okay, but I’m not going to accept late students in my class next time, understand?” Mrs. Estrella said.

“Yes Ma’am!” the students said in unison.

Lena yawned in the middle of discussion, she feel bored just by sitting and listening to a discussions but she need to do it for Elena. Elena may be love to study but not her as Lena.

Lena just stared at her right hand while humming her favorite song scarborough fair, throughout the class discussion, she keeps recalling how Candice died using just her bare hands, it made her feel so much glee every time she her prey dying slowly.

“No one will gonna harm you as long as I’m outside Elena. Our revenge is still far away, and I’m not going to stop hunting them down.”

Elena woke after hearing her own voice in her but she immediately forgot about it. She roam her eyes inside her room. Wait! My room?! I’m in my room?!” Elena eyes widened at the realization where she at.

“How did I came here?!” she whispered, she remembered passing out when Candice poured hot sauce in her food.

Elena tried to recall what happened back in their school, and she recall nothing, so she thought someone might had took her home when they saw her unconscious.

“Yeah! That’s right! That is what maybe happened.” She said to herself

“But, who is it?” she asked herself again.

“But no one in my classmates knows where I lived right? except Mrs. Estre-“ Elena snapped her fingers after thinking Mrs. Estrella.

“I should thank Ma’am.” Elena murmured.

Elena decided to cook carbonara that night, she is planning to give Mrs. Estrella some, as a thank you for bringing her home.

Mrs. Estrella may be strict in class but she is a good neighbor, she took care of her when she was grieving for her Mommy Dan and Daddy Alfred’s death.

After readying the carborana she cooked. Elena head towards Mrs. Estrella’s house, she smiled when Mrs. Estrella open the door after four knocks.

“Elena, darling what brought you here? Come in! Come in!” Mrs. Estrella said excitedly to her, her eyes seems happy.

“ I brought you carbanara ma’am, I just want to thank you for taking me home.” Elena said when she got inside. That made Mrs. Estrella brows knotted in confusion.

“Elena dear, I never brought you home, you came home by yourself after attending my class, and I am wondering if anything happened because you’re a bit different throughout my class.” Mrs. Estrella said, eyeing her with confusion.

Elena is shock by what she heard, she can’t recall or remember anything that Mrs. Estrella had said.

“Are you okay? Is anything wrong Elena?” Mrs. Estrella asked while looking at Elena’s shocked expression.

“Hmm.. Y-yeah Ma’am..I-I think I should go, I just really came to give you this.” Elena said placing the carbonara on the dining table.

“Are you sure?” Mrs. Estrella asked with concern. Elena just nod in response and bid a goodbye afterwards and started walking towards her house hurriedly.

Elena huffed when she enter house, her mind is filled with questions she’s really confused right now. Then what happened a month ago suddenly enter to her mind.

“What is happening to me, am I sick, why can’t I remember anything?!” Elena ask herself while grabbing her hair, she felt so lost, so confuse, so scared. She can feel anxiousness is starting to build up again.

Elena eyes widen when a sudden vivid images of her holding Candice neck, choking her to death popped in her mind. She can see herself having fun while staring at Candice who was gasping for her breath.

“By the way, Lena is the name and its nice to meet your death..” she heard herself said, and she also can hear herself humming her favorite song scarborough fair.

“Stop! Stop! Stooooppp! Ahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh!!!” Elena screamed while covering ears, she badly wants to erase what is she keep on seeing and hearing.

Elena crouch while lying on the cold floor while crying, she can’t understand what is happening. She felt like she’s gonna be crazy from what is keep happening to her.

”I don’t want this anymore! I’m tired already…!” She cried in despair.

Elena saw her herself taking a knife from her kitchen. She’s desperate already she feel like of she’s gonna end this she would really go crazy.

Elena was about to cut her wrist when her door suddenly open. She saw Mrs. Estrella shock face.

“ What are you doing?!” Mrs. Estrella said, when she saw Elena holding a knife. She hurriedly run their distance at took the knife of Elena’s hand.

Elena weakly let go of the knife she is holding and she felt her legs collapse. Mrs. Estrella immediately embrace really tightly, Elena just continue crying on Mrs. Estrella shoulder and this time she cried really hard.

“I’m here Elena, I’m here.” Mrs. Estrella just keep on telling Elena comforting words. She was really worried and scared at the same time when she heard Elena’s screamed, she know something happened, she saw it a while ago when Elena go to her house, but she choose to give her space when Elena bid her goodbye. And if she arrive a little bit late, she will not be able to forgive herself.

“I’m sorry Elena.” Mrs. Estrella whispered while tapping Elena on her back.
