During a time of desperation, a woman runs into the most unlikely being; Magic Man. Magic Man looks like an ordinary man but he has the power to bring anything he thinks or speaks into existence. Unfortunately the woman he meets, whose pain he so longs to erase, asks him for an extremely high order, one too great that requires a price too high to be paid. Magic Man afraid to risk everything and too guilty to take back his word, he avoids confronting what he knows in his heart he should do and instead takes her on a detour to Magic Land, in the hopes to help her in other ways to feel full or consoled. Magic Man lies to her and tells her that her one request cannot be granted, that it is the one thing he has no power to grant, but Magic Man starts to wonder if she is worth sacrificing everything for her, but if Magic Man grants her wish, he will die. He fights indecision and love all at the same time and yet fears that love might win, that every moment he's with her his sentence is being written, or that maybe, he was already destined to die in this way.

Chapter 1: Suicide Attempt
Lexy was an attractive pale brunette with a sexy plump body, big thighs, and a nice pronunciation at the waist, although she barely had one. They aligned nicely with her thighs and her 160 pounds of weight. She was beautiful, tall, and ordinary, like every other girl, but also extraordinary, because there was only one of her. Lexy was special. She didn't know it yet, she didn't know how deeply she could love anyone, not until Cody died. Cody was Lexy's only love. She never had anyone before him, she hardly believed she ever would after. That night after she got that call from Cody's mother, she nearly puked her entire guts out, crying and throwing up at the sink. She was there with him when he died, when that car hit them on that motorcycle and he went flying up in one direction, and she flew in another. She was very disoriented but she still heard the sound when he screamed out her name, "Lexxxy!" He was worried, tried to reach out for her, worried more that something could happen to her than he was of him. Lexy could still hear the loud thud when his body hit the car and slid off onto the pavement. When the car hit the brakes immediately after the impact of Cody coming down on it, and the car shook, his body fell with the sound of a horrifying crunch which repeated over and over again in her head, just like the sirens when the cop accidently ran over his already dead body. All of his intestines and organs were crushed all over the pavement. She could still feel the way her body felt as though it all broke, when she landed, her neck and back felt broken, and everything ached and felt fractured. The paramedics took her into the ambulance quickly, they put her a neck brace. It was a most horrifying night, the worst night of her life. In fact, after this, it seemed everyday after that would be too, as though that night never actually came to an end. Even in the midst of so much tragedy and angish, she still managed to go with her almost mother in law to make all of the funeral arrangements, neck brace and all. Crutches even. That night as Lexy stood at the sink, Cody's mother had called her so that she would accompany her the following day down to the morgue and the funeral home. She didn't want to be alone to make the arrangements, select the casket, the flowers, the clothes, etcetera. Lexy was absolutely devastated. She hadn't known him for years and years. She had known him for about a year but she had spent hours and hours and hours of endless days with him. They had made so many memories even in short time. To her they didn't feel short, they felt eternal at the time but now, not like nearly enough. She had come to love him so much, so fast. She had sacrificed a lot for him, and he for her. They had just rented an apartment together days ago, and she was going to help him move his stuff in because she already moved hers in. She was still at her mom's house but they had been putting things together and in order so that they could have a life together, their own story together. Lexy cried and cried so hard that night at the sink, days had passed. The following day they went to the funeral and three days later they held the service for him and she watched every last second, crying. She stood with his parents and her mother stood at her side and she cried too. When they finally got to lowering him down into the ground for burial, Lexy stayed there for longer staring down into the hole after everyone had left. She got closer to where his closed casket lay. They had intended to have an open casket but his body was too destroyed, and they wouldn't let them see him at the morgue. His face was barely a face anymore. Lexy felt sick to the stomach to the point that it tossed and turned. She felt so nauseous and ill, even weak to the knees to remember what he looked like right after the accident. Lexy got too close, she wanted to let herself drop down, inside, climb in with him and let them bury her alive, if only it meant to be with him. Even if she suffocated, surely he would be on the other side, she was convinced. In that moment, her mother looked at her from afar and got close, "Lexy, come on, let's get out of here." She sniffled still with sentiment. Lexy turned around, "Mom, I don't want to leave him." She cried softly. "I know honey, but he's not there anymore." Later that night they had a reception dinner in his honor which Lexy abhorred because all of his mom's friends were there for the food, not because they actually cared. Some people obviously came to support them, some people didn't touch the food. His mom never should've ordered any catering in the first place. Lexy hated it, it felt like a party because she heard women gossiping in one corner, men talking about cars and houses in another and complaining about their wives. It was complete chaos. She got alot of hypocritic hugs and 'We all really loved Cody' or 'I'm sorry for your loss,' or 'I'm really sorry for you Lexy, I know how much you loved him' from people who never even cared to even say hello to her or respond a hello either. They never talked to her or Cody for the most part. Lexy didn't hug them back, she glared hard at them, and even once said, "Really?" and on another she said, "Don't touch me, please." She pushed them away or walked away, however some of those unwanted hugs from people who she clearly knew never cared, she reacted to with silence, indifference. She felt their very touch to feel like a serpents cold scales, wrapping around her slowly, not in love, but in a deceitful or harmful way even. She knew it was just for appearances, or even for her own mom to see them support her and their family. Some of these people only came around now that it was too late out of genuine pity, but Lexy knew that it was exactly that, it was way too late. Some of the same people who approached her were people who Cody confided in her that had betrayed him. Maybe they felt guilty but this was no time for an apology, it was too late for that. Mika came, she was Lexy's best friend. She had to leave quickly because she had an audition but she hugged Lexy and told her that she was going to be there if she ever needed anything, to call her, no matter the day, no matter the hour. But she hugged her, stayed with her for like fifteen to twenty minutes and left. Although Lexy felt a bit of comfort by her presence, she felt extremely hurt when Mika said she was leaving for her audition. Lexy thought since she and Mika were so close that she should have stayed with her for longer. Cody had some real friends, there was Alexis, Edmund, and David. They were his closest friends in the whole wide world other than Lexy, he had known them several years. Alexis and David talked with her for a little while at different times, the boys didn't actually know each other. Edmund kept a distance but he did give her his deepest condolences. They were pretty devasted too. Even Lexy could see. This was company that she didn't mind being around, they were company that did good to her soul in this moment of need because they mourned him together, but even in company, Cody was still gone and there was absolutely nothing in the world that was going to change that, and even though she tried to feel their love or support in that moment because her soul was begging for something to cling to, there presence could not erase her pain and she just felt so alone. They faded into tje background even though they were there before her and talking with her. Then they left her alone, and she felt even lonelier, yet at the same time, she felt as though if she never even noticed when they left. it was a huge mix of intolerable gut wretching feelings too heavy to bear. Her almost mother in law, her almost father in law, and her own mother were all talking with others. She sat in a corner in a couch; the small couch chairs that are just for one person. She cried and cried without any consolation and momentarily calmed down her breathing but the tears ran down her eyes anyways. A little boy whom she'd never seen before in her life approached her and handed her a tissue. Lexy looked up at him and she could not even thank him for she felt a taco in her throat when their was none and she just opened her mouth so wide and continued to cry in screams and her eyes automatically shut. An older woman from around saw her and immediately gave her a hug, in fact it was probably the strongest, most longest hug that Lexy had ever had from a perfect stranger. Either way, Cody wasn't there, so Lexy in her pain reached out her arms and hugged this stranger back so tight, so eternally and she couldn't let go. She was so unconsoled but after a bit, the woman had to let her go, as soon as she did, the woman asked her, "Are you okay honey?" Lexy was suddenly become horrified of this question, and she backed up real awfully slow, "...I'm not okay, I'm not okay, my boyfriend is dead!! How is anything in this world supposed to be okay!!?" Lexy shouted and everyone's heads turned including Cody's parents, but Lexy didn't see them. She just instantly ran out feeling like this woman's words and affection were threats to her very soul. She stopped running after a long time, cause she felt too sick and too weak to run. She took a small break to weep and then she kept walking until she got home. It took her several hours but so was the party. She would get there before her mother would. That night, real late she stayed up for so long. The house was really dark and she never imagined this pain could go away. She went to the medicine cabinet real slow and depressed, and mixed a few pills from her and her mom's old prescriptions. She took them, swallowed them one after another like if they were candy, mixed and overdosed, like a final meal. When her mom came out of her room in a little while she found her daughter spaced out before the mirror and the pills all spilled over in the sink, tears all over her face, and she looked very drugged and suddenly she began to collapse to the ground. Roxy ran to her, caught her, and slid her down to the ground carefully, then laid her down. She quickly ran to the telefone and called an ambulance. Then she ran back to Lexy. Lexy suddenly began to have seizures and to bleed through her eyes, nose, ears, and mouth. The paramedics new this was because it was an extremely severe life threatening overdose. Lexy was dying and they were losing her fast. They got her to the hospital ASAP. Her mother hurried fast behind them after grabbing all the pill bottles that she found spilled in the sink, and shoving them into her purse, to show the medics.
