Chapter XV - Sweetums

Third Person's POV

'Baby please! I want it! Please please please please!' Calum begged Luke.

'Baby sweetums please stand up, we're in the mall. Someone will see is if you keep causing a scene.' Luke said and got Calum's elbow, helping him stand up.

'Lukey the dog! I want the dog! I'm gonna buy the dog please! I'll just keep him in my bedroom! Please!' Calum pleaded and hugged Luke by his side and dragging him down the floor.

'Baby, he will take a s**t everywhere. And you can't take care of him cause you're always cleaning.' Luke said. 'No no no please! I'll take good good care of him please!' Calum said.

Luke sighed before tugging at his hoodie, 'Baby, let's get him next time okay?' Luke said and peck Calum's pouty lips. Calum nodded hesitantly and continue looking at the puppy.

'I have to take a quick call okay? I'll be back in two minutes. I love you.' Luke said and kissed Calum one more time before going away a little and called someone on his phone.

After a while, Luke came back. 'Babe there's an urgent meeting on the coffee shop. I'll just get you home okay? Shaun's by the entrance, you two go home okay?' Luke said in a hurry.

Calum nodded meekly and kissed Luke before saying goodbye to him and the puppy.

Calum is in a bad mood all day. No puppy, no Luke. Just him and he's cleaning stuffs. He flopped down on the couch, his head resting on the top. He eventually fell asleep, the broom still on his hand.

He wakens up by a wet thing licking his face all over again. He opened his eyes, seeing it was the dog from the mall.

His eyes widened and saw Luke looking at him fondly, his face peeking from the couch.

Calum stood up and hugged the boy tightly, peppering his face with kisses. 'Thank you thank you thank you!' Calum said and Luke muttered a small 'you're welcome.'

Calum pet the dog's head, scratching behind his ear. 'What should we name..' Calum said and lift the dog up looking at the stomach. 'Her?'

'Sweetums.' Luke said. 'So, I can have baby sweetums here...' Luke said and peck Calum's forehead before turning to the dog. 'And sweetums here.' Luke said and pet the dog.

'I'm gonna go to my office, go there if you like okay?' Luke said and went upstairs.

'I love you baby sweets.'

Just when Calum is about to respond, the dog barked, replying to Luke. Luke looked back at the two before shaking his head, a smile on his lips.

Luke glared at the dog and Calum who is playing. He almost regret buying the dog. Almost. Since the dog make Calum happy.

'Calum! Spare time for me please!' Luke whined. 'Later Lukey, let’s play with sweetums first.' Calum said and rubbed sweetum's stomach making the dog stuck her tongue out.

Luke continued to beg for Calum's attention but the boy keeps ignoring him. He tried kissing the boy but he turned his head away. He tried getting the dog but Calum slap his hands away. He tried making Calum work bit Calum is all done. He tried to prank him with a call but the boy ignored his phone.

Luke sighed and flopped down the floor by Calum's legs, putting his head on Calum's thigh. Calum leaned down and kissed Luke's lips passionately and the boy immediately kissed back, wanting the attention so much.

'I won’t replace you with a puppy Luke.' Calum said. Calum leaned again and kissed Luke. The dog jumped to Luke's thighs and stood up on two feet before licking the side of Luke's face.

'Why did I even buy a puppy when I already have one named Calum?' Luke said.

Calum can feel the covers being taken off of him so he tugged it back. Someone kept pulling it back so he opened his eyes and saw Luke standing up, pulling the covers away.

'Lucas I am naked! Stop pulling the covers away!' Calum groaned. 'Calum your dog poop on the duvet!' Luke yelled making Calum look at the thing by the end of the bed.

'We can always clean it, no need to yell.' Calum said before slipping in his sweatpants. 'We? What do you mean we? You're cleaning it! I'm not gonna get my hands dirty!' Luke yelled making the dog cowered away and balled up on the corner, her head hang low.

Calum sighed and took off the duvet, cleaning it off the s**t before putting it on a water with detergent. He also took off the pillow cases and the bed sheet putting it on another water with detergent.

He put on the new covers with difficulty since he was small and the bed was big. Once he was done, he went to the laundry and washed it by hand making sure it’s clean.

He hanged it on the drying rack behind the house before going back to his room to take a nap since its 3:00 and he have to be up at 4 am.

The dog jumped on the bed and leaned on Calum's back making the boy turn around and pet the dog.

He felt the bed dipped down behind him and arms wrapped in his waist. 'I-I'm sorry for yelling baby. I just woke up and my mood is not really good when I wake up.' Luke said.

'Why do you always apologize when I'm about to sleep or I'm on bed?' Calum said and turned to Luke. 'I don't know... Sorry?' Luke said.

'Luke, I don't know if you're allergic to dogs or what but if you don't really want the dog you can g-give it a-away. Or I can give it to someone if y-you like. I-I can g-give it to M-Mikey or- or A-Austin. They like d-dogs a lot and what you s-said was really right. I can't take good care of the d-dog and l-look at what he done, h-' Luke cut off Calum who is rambling and crying with a small kiss.

'We won't give the dog away. We will keep it. Its just- I don't like it when the dog poops around like that. And the fact that it taking me away from you.' Luke said, whispering the last part.

'You know I love you so much right? And the fact that you give me a dog adds up to it.' Calum said and feel the dog going in between them.

'I love you baby. I'm sorry.'

'It’s okay Luke. I love you too.'

They fell asleep with the dog in between them looking like a family with a cute dog.Chapter XV - Sweetums
