Chapter XII – My date

Third Person's POV

'What did he say?' Calum asked Ashton over the phone. 'What did he say about what?'

'About what he wants to eat.' Calum said. 'Oh, just make some random snacks, and make it for 25 people since Luke promised that he will treat them your cooking, just some light snacks.' Ash said.

'Snacks are never meant to be light for Lucas anyways, I'm gonna start cooking wait is sushi and coleslaw salad fine?' Calum said and hanged up.

'That would be awesome, I have to go bye!'

He walked to the kitchen and brought out all the things he needs. He brought out some Styrofoam containers before lining it up with some plastic wrap and putting 6 slices of sushi and side it with some salad. He put it on a large plastic bag along with the others.

He pulled out another pan and made some grilled cheese only for Luke. He put it on a plastic Tupperware since Luke doesn't like Styrofoam and put slices of sushi and coleslaw too.

He made milk smoothies too and put it on a plastic cup with lid on and grabbed some straws. He put it on a small cooler before taking a quick bath until he waits for Ashton to pick him up.

He heard the car honked and got Shaun to help him with the foods in Ashton's car.

'Here Ash, you and Luke are the only ones who have grilled cheese.' Calum grinned and hand Ashton a Tupperware.

'Oh, thank god Cal, you're a gift from heaven, I haven't eat anything since this morning.' Ashton said and started the ignition.

They drove to an unknown place and Calum just wandered his eyes in the place, its secluded from the city, quite peaceful like a place in Italy.

They stopped on a quite park and Ashton helped Calum with carrying the snacks. 'Food's here!' Ashton yelled and Calum saw Luke snapped his head towards them. He was sitting on those foldable seats, an umbrella by his side since he doesn't want the sun.

He got up and walked towards to Calum before pecking his cheek making Calum blushed. Ashton started handing the Styrofoam containers to the crew and they thanked him quietly. Luke saw that almost all of it is gone and he turned to Calum. 'Where's mine?' Luke pouted.

Calum grinned and gave Luke his snack. Luke opened it and saw the snacks, 'aww, a grilled cheese just for me..' Luke said. 'Not really, I also gave Ashton grilled cheese.'

Luke narrowed his eyes at Calum playfully. They sat down on the trunk of Ashton's car and Luke ate quietly. Calum kept admiring the whole place not knowing Luke is staring at him.

Luke noticed he wasn't eating and furrowed his eyebrows. 'Wait, you made food for everyone but you didn't make one for yourself?' Luke said.

'I-I wasn't hungry.' Calum completely forgot about Luke being mad at him for not eating frequently. It’s just that, he wasn't hungry, he just really has a small appetite.

'I thought you already know that I don't like it when you don't eat.' Luke said. 'Y-yeah but i'm not really hun-'

'You're eating this other slice.' Luke said and tear the grilled cheese apart. 'No no! It’s for you! I told you I'm not hungry.'

'You're eating this whether you like it or not. I feel so bad for making you cook for everyone but then you're not eating. That's unfair.' Luke said.

'It’s okay Luke and besides we're gonna eat dinner at home, I'm not hungry until then.' Calum said. 'No means no, now say ah.' Luke said and put the grilled cheese in front of Calum.

Calum looked at the grilled cheese. He shook his head no but Luke is stubborn. 'My arm is getting tired.' Luke said and Calum sighed before reaching out for the grilled cheese but Luke keep it out of his reach

'Who said you're gonna hold it? You're just gonna bite until it’s all gone.'

'Lucas, I'm not a baby. I can feed myself.' Calum whined. 'But you're my baby. Now take a bite.' Luke said and Calum blushed bright red.

Calum shyly took a bite and Luke smiled. 'Baby Cal's first bite awww.'

'Shut up Lucas, I'll bite your d**k so hard you won't get to pee for weeks.' Calum grumbled. 'Ooh kinky. Didn't know you were into d**k biting cal.'

Calum moved over to Luke and bit his shoulder hard. 'Ah! Why the f**k did you do that?!' Luke yelled angrily making a few heads turn around at them.

'You're being mean.' Calum pouted. 'Geez Calum, you can get annoying sometimes, here hold you greasy grilled cheese. My hands are now ewwy.' Luke said and almost shoved the food in Calum's hand before walking away.

Calum is ashamed, Luke just yelled at him in front of many people. He stared at the food before putting it back to the container and wipe his hand with a wet wipe.

'Hey, you're the one who made the snacks yeah?' Someone said making Calum look up. He nodded timidly seeing it was another actor.

'I'm Austin. You're cooking is a gift from god by the way.' Austin said and held out his hand.

'Calum.' Calum simply said and shook his hand. 'Wait, are you Calum Hood?' Austin asked. 'How'd you know?'

'You're friends with Michael? The awesome hair dude?' Austin said getting excited. 'He's my best friend!' Calum said happy cause he heard Michael's name.

'He works for the editing stuff. Actually, he's gonna be my date tonight since my friend is out of town.'

'Date for what?'

'There's a fancy ass dinner later. You're Luke's date.' Austin said. 'How come I don't know anything about this?' Calum asked as Austin sat beside him.

'Maybe Luke want it to be surprised. But I guess it didn't went well a while ago.' Austin said.

'He's unpredictable sometimes so I'm kinda balancing his mood since I'm still new.' Calum said and looked down, fiddling with his fingers.

'You know what, let's take a selfie and send it to Michael, I bet he will yell holy s**t too many times.' Austin said and pulled out his phone and took a selfie of them making funny faces before sending it on Michael in snap chat with the caption of 'my new bestie'

Michael replied with a make up filter, his caption saying 'HOLY s**t'. The two laughed loudly as they predicted right.

Luke looked at two with an annoyed face. He scoffed as the two laughed again. Luke just want to snatch the phone away and take Calum home so they can cuddle.

The crew packed up and went home while the actors piled up and talk a little before going to the directions they have to go.

Calum opened the backseat of Luke's car while Luke went to the driver.

Maybe he doesn't want me beside him cause it will only add to my annoying level.

Luke kept stating at Calum on the glass of his car when Calum laughed on something at his phone. He was having a group chat with mike and Austin and Michael's reaction is awesome.

They for back to the house, the two still not saying anything to each other. When they entered the house, Shaun gave Calum an expensive suit and Calum just took it before going upstairs and take another bath.

The only chance of talking to Calum was gone since he didn't ask a question about the suit and the event and Luke don't know how to start conversations.

Luke got changed into his suit and wait for Calum to come down the stairs. Soon, there's small footsteps on the stairs and Luke looked up to see Calum wearing the suit, it made him look decent but still fuckable since the jeans are too tight that his ass is struggling for some air.

They drove to the restaurant and Calum didn't like it one bit. you all over again.

'Awe babes I miss you too.' Michael said and peck Calum's cheeks He saw Austin and Michael on the entrance and Calum ran up to Michael and hugged him tightly saying I miss. 'How come two best friends have nicknames for each other while I had a girlfriend who call me names all the time instead of "babes".' Austin said making quotation marks.

They got to their reserves table but before taking a seat, Luke introduced Calum to all of them. 'So Calum, this is Zayn, Harry, Liam and Louis, our other friend Niall called in sick and you already know Austin so yeah. Guys, this is Calum. My date for tonight.' Luke said. Calum shook their hands and took a seat, he can feel them burning holes in the side if his face.

They got the menus and Calum bit his lip. One meal for $3,000 dollars? Even Luke would say no to this.

Calum nudge Luke softly making the boy turned to him. Austin saw this and got ready for anything that will happen.

'What?' Luke asked. 'Do I really have to eat here?' Calum asked and Luke sighed annoyed cause Calum is always frustrating with the value when all he has to do is eat.

'Calum haven't I told you not to worry about it anymore?' Luke said. 'Why can't we just eat in McDonalds? Everyone loves McDonalds!' Calum said.

'Just order something Calum.' Luke said. 'Do they have MacFries here?' Calum asked, he's just joking when he said this but Luke is growing more annoyed at him.

'Calum stop it.'

'How bout Fried Chicken? Or McFlurry? Or hamb-'

'Calum how many times do I have to tell you, this is not a place for cheap foods you can buy at cheap fast foods?! Can't you just order something!' Luke yelled making all the people on the table look at them and some from other tables turned their heads.

Austin dialed Calum's name quickly saving Calum from the embarrassment and hurt.

'I-I'll j-just have w-what A-Austin's getting. I-I have to t-take t-this call.' Calum said and stood up quickly, his voice is trembling with fear and hurt.

'Dude what the f**k? You didn't have to yell at him!' Zayn said. 'Bro, haven't you seen that fine ass? You'll lose it soon if you keep yelling at him like that!' Liam said.

Even though what Liam said is a joke, it was very true.

Calum reached the bathroom and locked a stall. He keeps preventing tears to fall but some are really stubborn.

Why do I always f**k everything up?! Of course, this is a place for rich people! You don't belong here yet you keep f*****g with them!

Calum came back 5 minutes later making sure his eyes aren't puffy and red. He kept silent all the time. Only talking to his best friend and Austin sometimes answering questions from Luke's friends.

After the dinner, Calum said goodbye to Austin and Michael saying that he should hang out with them more often.

The car ride is silent. No voices can be heard. Just the thick uncomfortable silence.

They reached the house and Calum got inside quickly. 'Calum wait.' Luke said.

Calum turned to him, his eyes teary, red and tired. 'Can we talk about it tomorrow? I'm pretty tired.' Calum said softly and didn't wait for Luke's response as he locked the door to his room.

Crying himself to sleep.
