Be My date

Leanne agreed with Anna to have dinner in the East restaurant. This is to show her gratitude over the contract of Happy Hotel with the White Group for the Anniversary ball.

When she was on her way to the restaurant , Cindy approached her “ Leanne, can you review the contract I revised for the White Group? I have sent it to your email. I just don’t want to miss out anything before sending it to them first thing in the morning . Oh, are you on your way out? “ Cindy ask when she notice that Leanne is not on an office cloths, but rather wearing a lacy peach dress up to her knees.

“Yah, I have a dinner appointment but let me go through quickly with the contract before going there “ she replied and walk back to her office.

“ Thanks Leanne, you’re really a darling “ Cindy smiled and follow Leanne to her office.

“ How about Janus? he can be your darling too and I would love that. “ Leanne tease Cindy. Cindy gave her a look that warns her not to go further. “Okay, okay “ Leanne raise her hands in a surrender manner. “ Sorry , won’t say more “ then she laugh and open the contract file in her computer. She was reading it while Cindy waited silently, when her phone ring . She pick it up and said “ Best, did you arrive? ………. I’m just finishing something, be there in 5 or 10 minutes” then she drop the call and continue reading the contract.

“ I think it’s all good. Thanks Cindy you were really a great help for us. You should go home too. Get some good rest as we only have less than 3 weeks to arrange everything for the ball” Leanne smiled at Cindy and left.

At the East restaurant

When Leanne saw Anna, she wave at her and walk to their table. She give her a cheek to cheek before sitting down on the opposite side.

“Sorry best, I was a little late “ she ask for an apology.

“ No worries, I’m just so glad you have time for me today “ Anna smilingly said to her . “You did not work in the restaurant today ?” Anna ask as she open the menu

“No, I was so busy with my secretarial job since my boss is on the business trip “ I ask for a leave for this week. No worries I’m just a spare hand for them, they are not undermanned even with out me in the kitchen, they still serve good food “ she jokingly said while scanning the menu. “ Are you ready to order? “

“yes” Anna call the waiter to place the order and she also made suggestions to Anna for the order. When the waiter left , Leanne give Anna an update for the Anniversary ball and they made few discussion about the upcoming event. After a few minutes the waiter started serving their food, and halted their business talk.

Anna thank the waiter and ask Leanne “ So how was feeling to be back in the City? It’s been a week right? “

“ I don’t know what to feel. I was so busy since I was back so I’m still not into the idea that I am back. I don’t know how to describe it” Leanne replied while slicing her food

“ How about your feeling to my brother after seeing him again for the longest time? “ Anna naughtily ask her.

“ That’s more indescribable “ then Leanne laugh after saying it.Anna laugh too.

“Seriously Leanne?” Anna ask Leanne with a very serious look

She also give Anna a very serious look. “What? What do you want to hear from me about your brother. “ Leanne ask then continue eating

“Are you really done with him? No more feelings?”

“Oh , did I have feelings for him before? “ she innocently smiled at Anna while chewing her food.

“ Yes you had “ A familiar voice answered and someone grab a chair in the side. Leanne and Anna look at the person and Anna call out his name with a smile“ Anthony , what brings you here?“

“I came out from a meeting in one of the private rooms when I saw you guys “ He take a sit and turned to Leanne while answering Anna

Leanne face feels hot, she knows she turned red because of the uninvited guest, so she put her attention to the food. She tried to ignore Anthony’s presence.

 “So let’s go back to the topic? “ Anthony directed the question to Leanne but Leanne try to ignore him by calling a waiter attention and ask Anthony “ Mr. White , what do you like to order? “

“I had my meals already “then he told the waiter “Just bring me an americano “ then he turned back his attention to Leanne and ask. “Are you avoiding the topic ? “

Leanne gathered all her wits and faced Anthony. “Yes , I am. Isn’t it obvious? It’s something I am not proud off and don’t want to discuss again.” she said with an annoyed voice and shifted back her attention to the food.

This is just like a slap in his face and let Anna make an awkward face , she is slightly shock on what Leanne said but want to make fun of Anthony at the same time. “ Owhhss” Anna said and continue eating.

Anthony on the other hand just stared at Leanne with out an expression. It seems like he was pondering on what Leanne said. Then after few seconds , he shifted on his chair and lean a little on the sides to face Leanne better and he suddenly said in a very serious tone “ Are you free on the Anniversary ball? “

Leanne look at him and ask “ Why?”

The he replied “ If you are free, be my date “
