Chapter six

Selene; The man was as tall as Alpha Damien and looked almost like him, the only difference was his brown hair and soft brown eyes and for some reason, he seemed familiar. I bowed politely and she scoffed. "Hello Adrian," the brunette said and I raised my head slightly. I wanted to quickly leave but I was scared that it'd be considered rude. It was then I realized why he looked familiar. I had seen his pictures in one of the rooms. He was Adrian, Alpha Damien's stepbrother. "Vivian!" He said in a gruff voice. "What brings you here?" "Exactly the same reason as you," She stated, rolling her eyes. "You must be the, Megan," the man said and my eyes shot up to meet him before I quickly averted my gaze. I really didn't have to wonder how he knew my name. Most of the men visiting the mansion always had some lewd comment thrown my way. One even told me that he had heard about the new sexy maid in the mansion and had come to see her. I felt his eyes roving over my body and I swallowed hard, there was nothing I could do anyway. "You are now even more shameless. Ogling the maid?" She scoffed and pushed me aside with her body as she made her way to Alpha Damien's room. From her attire and the way she carried herself, I figured she must be the daughter of someone of importance in the pack, perhaps an Elder's daughter and also one of the top contenders for Luna. I mentally cringed at the thought of having to serve someone like her. "She's beautiful and I like her!" He hollered and I took an involuntary step backwards. "You shouldn't be here if you came to chat with the maid," Alpha Damien's deep voice, dripping with disgust interrupted him, the Brunette was by his side. I decided that I had to leave then. But Adrian had other plans. He grabbed my arms, pulling me to his hard chest and I gasped. I felt Alpha Damien's heated gaze on me and I slowly turned around to see his already dark eyes, darkening further.Adrian's grip was right on my arm like he knew I wanted to run away. "I came to see you, to welcome the new 'Alpha'" he said the last part with disgust and I wondered if they had some sort of bad blood between them. "Now that I've seen you, I should take my leave now," he said, sounding serious as he looked at Alpha Damien. I tried pulling my arm from his hold but he tightened his hold. "Get your hands away from her!" Alpha Damien barked, making me shudder in fright. "She's just a maid and I want her. I'm taking her with me, I'm entitled to having a few maids from this mansion in my service," he challenged and my eyes widened. He couldn't be serious. "She doesn't deserve to be working as a maid. Her beauty surpasses that and it's a good thing that no one has noticed," he winked at me. "You see, Megan, the moment I saw you, I knew you were the woman for me…" Adrian's tone hinted at seriousness and before he could complete his sentence, Alpha Damien covered the distance between us, yanking me away from him and throwing me over his shoulders. I screamed as the thought of what he'd do to me filled my head. Tears clouded my eyes as I remembered my father and his friends. "Let me go!!!!" I looked pleadingly at the brunette, Vivian, my eyes pleading for help. She looked surprised too and she turned to him, raising a brow. "Damien, let the maid go. Who cares if he wants to go f**k some senseless maid," she spat out and I didn't care that she had insulted me, I just wanted to leave. "Get the f**k out of here and don't you ever look at my mate! She's mine! Mine!"He growled through gritted teeth and I saw Vivian's brow furrow. "A maid?" I heard Adrian's loud laughter as Alpha Damien marched to his room with me dangling off his back. "Damien—," I heard Vivian call out. His words kept ringing in my ear and I couldn't stop the tears anymore. "Mate!" I shouldn't have a mate and even if the moon goddess was cruel enough to give me one, it didn't have to be Alpha Charles. I can't have a mate, I just could not! Not after everything I had been through. Besides, He was the Alpha. Not just any Alpha, the Alpha of the Redvine pack! If he ever finds out who I am, he wouldn't hesitate to kill me. Adrian's laughter followed us, but Vivian was quiet, I assumed she was shocked by the whole thing. "Pl-please—please let me go," My voice came out lower than I intended and I mentally slapped myself. He ignored my plea and I began to sob loudly, hoping that he would have mercy on me and let me go, instead, he ignored me completely. I kept pleading until we got to his room and I began to hit his back and kick my legs wildly, I couldn't let him mark me. I was an abomination, he wasn't supposed to meet me. The moon goddess must've made a mistake. As soon as we got to his room, he dropped me to my feet, clicking the lock on the door. My eyes landed on his dark eyes and I shuddered. I recognized the look, it was the one my father and his friend used to give me before having their way with me. "Please—" I said in one final attempt. "Why?—-" He couldn't complete his sentence as someone began to bang the door loudly. "Please—let me go," I whispered and his eyes darkened as he took a step closer, bridging the distance between us. He was about to say something when the person outside began to knock, this time even louder than before. "Damien! Open the door!" I gasped as I heard him groan. It was Susanne and it took every thing in me not to scream out in happiness.
