Chapter 12

Nationals 2 | Madison's POV

I went out from the bathroom wearing a mini polka shirt, a white knit with long sleeve, a long necklace, also my boots and the socks.

Tonight, I'll have a date with Sam and I think I have to give him a shot even though I dont know with what I feel right now but I guess give someone a chance is not a bad idea at all.

Besides that I know Finn asked Rachel out since she already dressed with her blue ocean dress and I dont know why I just feel uncomfortable with that.

"Wohoo where are you going, girl?" Mercedes chuckles as she saw me went out from the bathroom with a new clothes.

"I'm going to have a date." I giggle.

"With who? Puckerman? You'll get into his pants. He will bring you to another hotel and hook up." Santana frowns at me.

"Puck and I will have a date in local bar tonight since we are getting back together." Lauren says.

I take my blue beanie hat from my suitcase and wear it on my head while looking at the mirror.

"Then with who?" Tina asks curiously.

"Sam asked me out and I said yes." I giggle.

"Wow Trouty Mouth did that? He is such a lucky one." Santana says to me.

"You both look cute to be together." Rachel says to me.

"Well, I just think that maybe I could give him a shot." I said to them. I look at my watch and it's almost 6pm. Sam told me to meet him at 6 in the lobby. "Well, I better go." I take my sling bag and look at myself from the mirror once again.

"You already beautiful, Madison." Rachel smiles at me.

"Thank you. See you girls." I chuckle and went out from my room.

I close the door and went out from my room and Finn just went out from his room wearing a suit and he looks gorgeous. What the hell I'm talking about?

"Wow." Finn chuckles.

"What do you think? This plan B is working right?" I chuckle at Finn.

"Never see you in a skirt before. All I see is jeans, boots, tshirt and flannel shirt." Finn chuckles.

"Finn, come on. I need to get through this. And I think that Sam likes cute girl with skirt." I said as we walk together to the lift.

"Just dont change yourself to be someone you are not because of someone." Finn simply said and walk passed me.

I'm just standing frozen and thinking about the things Finn said. Yeah I rarely wear skirt or dress if it's not really necessary. But tonight, I changed my style to be someone who I am not.

"You just wanna standing there? This lift is waiting for you." Finn says from the lift and hold the button.

"Coming." I said and walk little bit faster then get into the lift.

There are only two of us in this lift. Only Finn and I. We just being quiet like a stranger. I have many things in my mind that I wanna to talk but I cant let it out.

"Only two of us so..." Finn smirks at me.

"Dont you dare. There is cctv between us." I warn him.

"Who says that I wanna hook up with you?" Finn rolls his eyes and went out from the lift.

"I will kill you, Finn." I mumbled as I walk behind him.

"I can hear you." Finn simply said and walk away leave me alone.

I roll my eyes and let out a sigh. I'm in the lobby right now but where is Sam? I dont see him. I look at my watch and it's already 6am.

"Someone's late about 1 minute 45 seconds."

I turn my face and Sam chuckles at me as he is standing next to me and wearing his black suit just like Finn.

"Not two minutes." I chuckle.

"Come on, I dont wanna late for another time." Sam says to me.

"Sorry, the lift was took long." I said and start walking with him. "So what are we gonna do?" I ask Sam.

"Having a date?" Sam raise his eyebrows.

"Definitely, having a date." I giggle. "How stupid I am." I mumbled.

"Haha you're funny. Well, I wanna take you for a dinner in Japanese restaurant since you love Sushi. So what do you think?" Sam smiles at me.

"Sounds cool." I nodded and smile back at him.

How could he knows that Sushi is my favorite food? The one who knows that is only Finn and my dad. Did Finn tell him?

"Thanks for the date." Sam smiles at me as we walk together.

"You're welcome." I smile back at him.

"You look really beautiful tonight. Even those waiters stared at you." Sam suddenly said.

"Thank you." I smile shyly at him.

"You dont mind if I ask you for another date right?" Sam asks nervously.

"No, I'm totally fine with that." I giggle.

"Lor manari." Sam smiles at me.

"Thank you, I like your green eyes too." I giggle.

"You know that words? I though only me who knows that." Sam chuckles.

"I watched Avatar with my dad when we bored." I chuckle. "Well, this is my room. So..." I giggle and standing in front of my room door.

"Yeah this is-is mine. Well..." Sam says nervously.

"Well, thanks for the date, food, and those impressions." I giggle.

"I like you." Sam look at me deeply.

I'm just standing frozen and raise my eyebrows. Sam walks closer to me. I dont know what is he gonna do but I hope that he wont rape me or anything.

Sam standing right in front of me. He then push his face closer to me and kisses me. I dont know what to do. I'm totally shocked but his lips is really soft and I cant pull him away.

"Good night." Sam simply said and run to his room.

I touch my lips and I dont feel any differences. When Finn kissed me, I can feel my heart beated so fast that night but tonight is just like any other kiss.

Finn's POV

I change my clothes into a tshirt and my jeans. Rachel rejected me and I guess I should tell this to Madison and figuring out about my feeling.

Sam suddenly walks in then jumps to the bed and hide his body under the blanket.

"Dude, you just rob a woman?" Puck frowns at Sam.

"I'm afraid. I'm nervous." Sam sighs and lay his body on the bed.

"You didnt pay the restaurant and ran away?" Mike frowns at Sam.

"No." Sam shakes his head.

"Then?" Puck frowns.

"I kissed Madison and told her that I like her then I ran away." Sam says to us.

"Did-did she kisses you back?" I ask.

"Nope. She was surprised I guess. But her lips really soft and I love the taste of chapstick she used. Damn! I never be in love like this before." Sam grins at us.

"Welcome to the New York. The city of love." Puck chuckles.

I just fake chuckles and take my phone. I get out from my room and find some fresh air to refresh my mind.

Glad that Madison didnt kiss Sam back. Wait? What I'm talking about? I walk to get into the lobby and touch my lips. This lips is still taste Madison's chapstick because she was the last person I kissed.

I walk in the lobby and look around. It's already 9pm but there are many people walk in and out.

I turn my face to the lobby longue and see a familiar creature sit down there with her book and a glass of juice on the table in front of her also french fries so I decided to walk to there.

Madison is busy with her book. I sit down next to her I take her juice and drink it but it taste sour. "What is this?" I groan.

"Next time, dont steal someone's drink." Madison rolls her eyes. "Apple mixed with banana without sugar. Good for skin." Madison says and go back read her book.

"What are you doing here?" I ask her.

"Waiting for my dad. I want to sleep in his room so the other girls can sleep on the bed not on the sofa." Madison closes her book and drink that juice. "If you thirsty or hungry just order something."

"You pay?" I grin at her.

"Pay yourself." Madison simply said and roll her eyes. "No, just kidding, just get into my dad's room charge."

"I'm not hungry. I'm just bored." I sigh.

"How was your date?" Madison raises her eyebrows at me.

"Rachel rejected me. How about you?"

"Sam kissed me but I didnt kiss him back. I was shocked and he also told me that he likes me." Madison says to me.

"You changed your clothes already." I chuckle as I see her wear a short denim pants and a sweater also the hotel sandals.

"Wearing a skirt was uncomfortable." Madison simply said. "You sure you dont wanna eat anything or drink something? I'll pay." Madison says to me.

"No. I'm here only to disturb you." I said.

"Okay just go ahead." Madison hit my head with her book.

"Ouch, you will pay for that." I smirk at her.

"With? I have a weapon! Here!" Madison laughs and shows me her book.

"With this." I smirk at her and shows her my hands and start tickling her.

Madison laughs so hard as I'm still tickling her. I just laugh so hard through this. I dont care if the others sees us because I feel like my happiness is back.

"Finn stop it!" Madison laughs and kick my hand with her foot until she suddenly being quiet and hold her foot.

"You okay?" I raise my eyebrows at her.

"My foot hurt." Madison says and go back to sit down on this sofa.

"I'm really sorry, I dont meant to. Is it still hurt?" I ask Madison.

"Yeah." Madison nodded and take her phone. "I will call my dad. He said he is already in his room."

"Dont. I can lift you up. Come on. That's my fault." I said to her.

"Finn...."

"No excuse, Maddy. Come on." I said to her and shows her my back.

"I'm getting fatter." Madison says to me.

"I know you eat tots that much every day." I simply said.

"Dont call a girl fat." Madison push my head.

"I didnt call you fat." I roll my eyes. "Come on. Right now."

"But be careful." Madison says.

"Yes, spoilt baby." I sigh.

"Dont call me that!" Madison protest and put her hands around my neck as I lift her up on my back. "I already paid the bill and we can go like the superman toott tooott!" Madison laughs.

I didnt say anything but chuckle. She is funny, innocent, sometimes stupid, but sometimes can be really smart which makes her looking super geeky and i***t one.

Madison's POV

"Next time be careful, okay." Dad rubs my hair after giving my foot a cream to clear the pain.

"I cant handle it. He is stupid but he is funny. He made me laugh so hard." I chuckle.

"Did he knows you're a spoilt baby a.k.a daddy's baby?" Dad sit down on the edge of the bed.

"He knows everything about me." I giggle.

"So, you are into this Sam guy huh?" Dad chuckles and about to walk to the bathroom.

"I didnt talk about Sam." I frown at dad.

"Then?" Dad raises his eyebrows at me.

"I was talking about...Finn." I said.

"Oh. I though you were telling me about that Sam guy." Dad says to me and walk to the bathroom.

I'm just sitting down on the bed with my back against the wall then take a pillow and hug it. I had a date with Sam today but why the only one I've been thinking is Finn? This is crazy. Really crazy.

Today is the show time. Mr. Schue already pick up two songs that we are gonna sing right now. First, a duet between Finn and Rachel. Second, a song that we wrote together.

We already in this theatre. I walk off from my dad's office and hold a paper then walk enter the green room to meet the others.

"Guys, I got this." I said to them and show them that paper.

"What is that?" Tina asks me.

"This is a the new rules of 2011 Nationals Show Choir Championship." I grin at them.

"How do you get that? What if they find out? We'll be kick off." Artie frowns at me.

"My dad's secretary. I bribed her with french fries and I got this one." I said proudly.

"You're a main player in this team. Good job." Santana says to me.

"What it's say?" Finn asks me.

"It wrotes that there are fifty teams that will be performing for the nationals from different five stages. Then the judges will choose the top ten to get into the showcase tomorrow. So we have to get into the top ten so we will win this." I said to them.

"Wow. That's scared me a bit." Kurt says.

"And we will be perform after Vocal Adrenaline in the same stage with them. So... I hope you guys are ready. I watched all their performances last night. I leaked my dad's laptop and I got their files so I watched it and it was freaked me out actually but I know that we are better than them. I saw how amazing New Directions is since I saw you guys performed at regionals and killed that handsome gay from The Warblers...." I got cut off.

"That's my boyfriend...." Kurt says to me.

"Okay. The point is you guys are amazing. We are amazing. This is might be my first time performing in show choir championship and I just want to win. I bet you guys want the same thing. So let's do this." I smile at them.

"Let's gathered around and do this show circle." Rachel grins at us.

I smile at them. We then huddle up together for this championship. I just wish the best for us. I want to back to Lima with the biggest trophy.

Aaaaamazingggggg

The others already inside the theatre to see the performance from the others show choir. I just went out to find some fresh air and to make me wont feel nervous.

"There you go. Right you're here." Aaron smirks at me.

"What are you doing here?" I glare at him.

"Following you. What else? Baby, I know where you go." Aaron says to me.

"Dont you dare to call me baby or anything anymore." I glare at him.

"Hey come on, I'm really sorry okay. I dont meant to said that and I will follow what you said." Aaron says and trying to hold my sleeve.

"Leave me alone!" I yelled at him.

"Baby, I'm really sorry. I meant it." Aaron says to me.

"Dude, back off." A familiar voice.

I turn my face and Finn walk to us and glare at Aaron then standing in front of me.

"What? This is not your problem." Aaron glares at Finn.

"If you love her, you would understand about her choice not only follow your horny feels. She is a girl not a s*x toys that you can throw it away then use it again. You better go before I cant handle my anger and your handsome face got a bruise." Finn glares at him.

"Finn... come on." I hold Finn's hand and move his body to turn around then walk lead him and get into the theatre.

"Why you didnt let me to punch that guy?" Finn protest.

"Made him speechless already enough." I said to him.

"You okay?" Finn asks me.

"Totally fine. I'm done with him. You were right. I shouldnt date someone that I just met from the internet. And thanks for defending me." I said to Finn.

"I'm your bestfriend and I dont like him." Finn simply said and walk away.

Yeah you're only my best friend. Nothing more than that. But the way you defended me and said something like that in front of Aaron made me feel different. I dont know what's wrong inside me right now.

"You wanna standing here and not to sit down? I already left a seat for you." Sam says to me.

"Thanks, Sam." I half-smiled at him and walk to the seat.

I'm sitting down next to Sam and Brittany while watching the performance by Vocal Adrenaline with a solo from that Sunshine Corazon. I red all their profiles last night.

"Guys, Mr. Schue want us to get ready." Mercedes says to us.

I stand up from my seat and turn my way to the backstage until Sam suddenly catches my hand and hold my hand as he walk lead me.

I just raise my eyebrows and looking at my hand. What is this? Does he really think that last night was really special? I dont know. Maybe.

We then enter the backstage as Vocal Adrenaline finished their performance. Rachel and Finn are ready on their position then they walk closer and talk something.

I just can turn my face away and pretend nothing happened. The song that Finn wrote is really beautiful and deep down, I want to sing that song duet with him but no. Rachel deserves that.

"And now, from William McKinley High in Lima, Ohio the New Directions!"

The music start begin. I walk to my position and leave Sam's hand and standing with the others until our time to come out to the stage.

Finn and Rachel:

We then come out from the backstage and singing the backup as Finn and Rachel are still having the duet.

The song ended up quietly. I turn my face a bit and I see Rachel and Finn kissed in front of the whole audience and this is kind of unprofessional. Besides I dont know what's wrong with me right now. I dont like to see this.

They both stop kissing and looking at each other. Then Mr. Schue lead the audience to give the applause until some of few audience give us applause and another music begin.

We ended up the song with full of applauding from the audience. I just bite by buttom lips to hold the pain. I though I cant handle it but I cant. My foot really hurt.

The curtain lift down and I lost my body and fall with sit down on the stage. Damn! I though the pain already gone but it comes back during the performance and I hold it.

"Hey, you-you okay?" Sam asks me.

"Yeah, it just suddenly hurt." I nodded.

"I'll help you. Come on." Sam shows me his hand.

I take his hand and stand up and walk crippled with Sam holding my sleeves as we walk slowly until we go out from this theater. This is really bad.

"Sit down here." Sam says to me and points to a bench. "Is it still hurt?" Sam asks me.

"It will be fine." I nodded.

"Stay here. I'll get some drink for you." Sam says and walk off.

I look around and see Finn and Rachel are talking with that Jesse guy and I dont know what is the thing they been talking about. Not my problem.

"You cant live without me." Aaron smirks at me and shows me a pain cream.

"Back to Columbus and never come back to my life." I glare at him.

"Okay here is the deal. Forgive me. I apologize and we can getting back together. Then we will have summer in Miami. I even already book two flight tickets for us. See?" Aaron shows me two flight tickets. "Or after this we can watch movie. You want shopping right? Okay we can go to shopping in Time Square and go back to Ohio and living peacefully. How?" Aaron smirks at me.

"Back off!" Finn suddenly come to us and punch him.

"Finn!" I hold Finn's hand to stop him.

"You think you can buy her with all your money? She is a girl not a toy! She is human! For now, you go! You hurt my best friend!" Finn glares at him.

"So he is your new superman huh?" Aaron turn his face at me. "You dont remember who safe your life from that crack house? It was me! Not him! Where he was? Oh forget that he planned that trapped with his ex-girlfriend." Aaron says.

Finn just look upset and almost punch Aaron again but I catch his hand and hold him. "Leave me alone and never come back." I glare at Aaron.

"Fine!" Aaron says angrily and walk off.

"You okay? Did he hurt you or something?" Finn turn his face at me.

"You dont have to punch him. I said no hit but why you did that?" I raise my eyebrows.

"He is a jerk, Maddy! He need to pay what he has done to you!" Finn frowns at me.

"But you hit him!" I protest. "You hurt him!"

"This is how you say thanks after I defended you?" Finn raises his eyebrows at me. "Fine. You're welcome." Finn simply said and walk away.

I let out a sigh and cover my face with my hand. How stupid I am. I dont know how to say that things to him. It's stupid.

"Oh, my God! What's happening?" Rachel asks as we saw some show choir yelled happily.

"They just posted the top 10 for showcase." Kurt run to us excitedly. "Okay, come on, everybody. Gather around. It's a moment two years in the making!" Kurt says excitedly.

"Okay, okay. What should we do?" Rachel asks nervously.

"Let's go look at it together. Come on. Come on." Mr. Schue says to us and start walking to that board.

I stand up slowly and walk to that place with Sam hold my hands and walk together with me.

"Oh, I'm too nervous to look." Kurt says to us.

"I'll go." Mr. Schue says and standing in front of that board.

"What did we place?" Finn asks Mr. Schue but he keep looking at it. "Well, Mr. Schue? Say it. What did we rank?"

"We didn't." Mr. Schue sighs. "I'm so sorry, you guys. We aren't in the top 10."

We just being quiet and look sad. I feel like I wanna cry but I cant. This is my first performance and we lost.
