Chapter 17

Madison's POV

"So we have Mercedes and Mike Chang who will hace auditions for today." Artie says.

"Alright, just let the first in, kids." Coach Beiste says.

I take the microphone. "Mercedes Jones."

Mercedes walks into the stage with her black dress with Brittany and Tina standing on the background maybe for singing the backup.

"My name's Mercedes Jones. I'll be auditioning for Maria. And I'll be singing Spotlight from Dreamgirls." Mercedes says.

"Take the floor, Mercedes." Ms. Pillsbury says.

The music start begin. Mercedes start singing as the music begin with Tina and Brittany singing backup.

We clapping and cheering after Mercedes finish her song. She is like really amazing and I'm sure she can play that Maria well.

"Wow! Yeah!" Artie whooping.

"Whoo! Beautiful. Whoo! Mercedes, I’ve never seen you like this before. Really. You’re so…" Ms. Pillsbury says.

"Glamorous." Coach Beiste says.

"Totally. Glamorous." I'm clapping.

"Well, I just wanted you guys to see me the way that I see myself now: as a leading lady." Mercedes grins at us.

"Well, it was wonderful. Beautiful." Ms. Pillbury says.

"So good. You killed it!" Artie says.

"Well, good luck, Mercedes. We will let you know." I smile at her.

"Thank you guys." Mercedes says and walk off.

"I really like her confidence." Ms. Pillsbury says.

"Yeah, like I never seen her before." Coach Beiste says.

"Alright, next one. Mike Chang?" Artie says from the microphone.

We just look around and waiting for Mike to come to auitorium. And he didnt show up. Where is he?

"Where?" Coach Beiste frowns at Artie.

"Mike Chang?" Artie says from microphone. "The kid’s never late. He runs like an expensive Swiss watch reproduced cheaply in China." Artie says to us. "Okay, next."

Mike suddenly running to the auditorium. "Uh, I’m sorry I’m late. I’m here to audition for Riff." Mike says to us.

"Uh, Mike, you know that’s not just a dancing part, right?" Ms. Pillsbury says.

"I do, yes. I’ve been working on my singing." Mike nodded.

"Okay." Ms. Pillsbury nodded.

"Take the floor." I said.

Mike bring the jocks as his backup dancer and this is really cool. I just wish that he really could play Riff.

"Yeah! Wow!" Artie clapping.

"Wow, Chang, you must have worked really closely with my boys there. That was some really fancy footwork. I just hope you didn’t waste too much of your time." Coach Beiste says.

"It’s what I love to do. It’s never going to be a waste of my time." Mike smiles.

"Good job." Coach Beiste says.

"Thank you for auditioning. We'll let you know." I said.

"Thank you." Mike smiles at us and walk off.

The bell rings.

"Oh damn God, finally I can get some lunch." I said and organizing the files.

"Okay, we will take a break and then meet me in my office and we will discuss about the cast." Ms. Pillsbury says to us.

"Yeah." I nodded. "Come on, Artie." I said and start push Artie's wheelchair.

"Kid, you already finish Tony's costume?" Coach Beiste asks me.

"It's on progress. I'll finish it tonight." I said to coach Beiste.

"Okay good." Coach Beiste just simply nodded.

"You sure you can finish it alone tonight?" Artie asks me.

"Yeah. Tomorrow Finn and I will go to Indianapolis so tonight we dont have to study." I giggle.

"Cool then." Artie simply nodded.

"I'm so honored to be director for this musical drama. I meant, this is really cool." I chuckle.

"And bossing. I feel like I'm a boss." Artie chuckles.

"Sort kind of." I chuckle.

Artie just chuckle as we walk together to the cafetaria and pick up our food for lunch. I take my food tray and pick up my food and tots, of course.

After that we then walk to the glee club table where the others already there and having lunch. I sit down next to Artie and eat my food.

"Hey, baby." Sam walk passed me and rubs my hair and sit down opposite me.

"Hey." I smile at him.

"How's the audition?" Sam asks me.

"Good." I answer.

"I got the part right?" Mercedes asks me and Artie.

"We cant tell. It's still on progress." Artie says.

I just nodded and look around. I dont see Finn around here? Where is he? Wait, why I'm looking for him? It doesnt really matter.

I shrug and eat my tots also my potato chips. I'm really hungry since this morning dad woke up late and made me woke up late and we only have breakfast with fresh milk.

"I wish I could get extra tots every day." I said and eat this tots.

"Well, you could." An unfamiliar voice.

I just raise my eyebrows. The others just looking at to behind my back. What happened behind my back?

I turn around and I see Finn with three other teenagers who look familiar for me. "Oh my gosh. You've gotta be kidding me!" I shake my head and cover my mouth with my hand.

"Surprise!" They grins at me.

My childhood friends are here. And Finn brough them here to meet me. "Oh my gosh I miss you guys so much." I hug them.

"Oh God, finally I'm taller than you now." Dean chuckles at me.

"Okay boys grow higher and we are lower." Gabi rolls her eyes.

"I though that we will meet Indianapolis tomorrow." I said to them.

"Yeah but we think why dont we just come to Lima? So we came here." Gabi says to me.

"That was my idea actually." Josey chuckles. "I called Finn and he gave me the address and we came here."

"Why you didnt tell me?" I raise my eyebrows at Finn.

"You were busy with directing the musical so I'm forget to tell you." Finn says.

"I feel like we're back to Montreal." Dean chuckles.

"Without Jordan obviously." Josey simply said.

"Yes. Without him." I chuckle. "Oh guys, they are our glee club's friend." I introduce the glee club to my friends. "And they are our old friends, Dean, Josey, and Gabi." I said and points at them one by one.

"And Finn." Finn added.

"You're only a ghost here." I roll my eyes.

"Whatever." Finn curl his lips.

"Okay, let's have a talk here." I said to them and walk to empty table and bring my food tray then sit down on an empty table. "Where do you guys will stay tonight? Because I guess that tomorrow will be a great time for us to hangin out together."

"We already booked a room. My parents have colega here so they knew it." Josey says.

"Cool then. We can watch movie tomorrow." I said happily.

"Yeah cool." Finn nodded.

The bells rings.

"Guys, I'm really sorry but I have a little meeting for the musical drama right now." I said sadly.

"She is the director." Finn says.

"Really? That's cool, Maddy. You really do your dad's job." Josey says to me.

"Not really. Well, I have to go. We can talk again after this." I stand up from my seat.

"Come on, Mad." Artie says to me.

"Just dont go away from my school before I go back here okay." I said to them.

"Alright, McKenzie!" Dean laughs and throw a chip at me.

"Finn is McKenzie, not me!!" I groan. "Well, see you!" I wave them a goodbye and standing behind Artie's wheelchair.

"I'm sure I'm gonna be the new Maria." Mercedes says proudly.

"Let see the result." I giggle and start pushing Artie's wheelchair.

"Babe, can we go out tonight?" Sam catches my hand.

I hold his hand and bring him to little further than the others. "I'm sorry but we cant. I have to finish the costume tonight."

"Tomorrow?" Sam raises his eyebrows at me.

"Will go out with my friends. I'm really sorry, Sam." I cup his cheek.

"It's okay." Sam sighs.

"Mad, come on! We dont have much time." Artie says.

"I'll call you tonight okay. Dont be mad." I rub his cheek and walk off with Artie.

Finn's POV

I turn my face and Sam catches her hand and then they both walk to the corner. I keep my eyes on them and seems like they having talks.

"So you dont have a girlfriend, dude?" Dean asks me as he eats Madison's potato chips.

"Madison? That's his girlfriend forever." Josey chuckles.

"Not like that." I chuckle.

"Wait, who is that blonde guy? He cant stop give you a death stare." Gabi asks and looking at Sam.

"Madison's boyfriend. He beated me once because he was jealous with me and Madison didnt tell him that we studied together every night." I said to them.

"Oh come on from all of us, she is the most innocent one. Let me talk to him." Dean says and about to stand up.

"Dude, dont." I stop him. "I dont wanna any fight anymore. We will facing sectionals in couple weeks." I sigh.

"Finn, you know what? Since the first time we all know that you loved her and will always do." Gabi says to me.

"Okay since you guys are my bestfriend. I told you. I kissed her three times. I indirectly said that I love her but like what Dean said, she is really innocent. She thinks that our kisses only 'best friend kisses' even when I told her that she is my interested thing, she laughed out loud. Sometimes I think, stupid and innocent are same." I said to them.

They suddenly laugh so hard. I just roll my eyes and let out a sigh. "Haha Finn, take it slow." Gabi chuckles at me.

"Dont worry, Madison is yours. And Gabi is mine." Dean smirks at Gabi and put his hand around Gabi's.

"Eww no." Gabi rolls her eyes and push Dean's hand away.

I just chuckle and drink my water. "Well, dont tell this to Madison." I said to them.

"We wont. Our secret, dude." Josey nodded.

I nodded and turn my face at glee club table. It's already empty. Sam and the others already gone.

Madison's POV

"Okay so, Blaine for Tony. Right?" Ms. Pillsbury asks as we look at our list.

"Totally." Artie nodded.

"Blaine for Tony." I mumbled and types the result on my laptop. "Mike as Riff?" I ask.

"Chang was the best. I think no one could play Riff as same as he do." Coach Beiste says.

"Yeah I'm sure with Mike." Ms. Pillsburry nodded.

"Noted." I said.

"Santana as Anita?" Artie asks.

"Couldnt agree more. It will be really cool." I said to Artie.

"Yeah Santana's attitude more like Anita besides that she has the Puerto-Rican accent." Ms. Pillsburry says.

"Got it." I nodded.

"Officer Krupke is definitely Kurt." Coach Beiste says.

"Yeah that's good choice, coach." I said and type on my laptop. "And Maria?" I raise my eyebrows at them.

"Such a hard thing to decide. Mercedes was really got that spotlight." Ms. Pillsbury says.

"But Rachel is also same." Artie says.

"Yeah Artie was right. Rachel also the best. I meant, they both are equally." Ms. Pillsburry says.

"But I think Mercedes is better. She really got into that part." I said to them.

"Totally agree with you, pumpkin." Coach Besite nodded.

"Okay we better vote. Rachel as Maria." Artie says and raise his hand along with Ms. Pillsbury. "So Madison and coach Beiste choose Mercedes. 2-2."

"What about sharing stage?" I raise my eyebrows.

"You mean like they both play Maria?" Ms. Pillsburry says.

"Yep. We can make equal role." Artie says.

"What about this one? We give them callback and have Maria-off and see who is the best. If we still cant decide, that double role will be our second chance." Coach Beiste says.

"I didnt know you really have a brilliant idea, coach." I giggle.

"I'm so proud of myself, kiddo." Coach Beiste chuckles.

"Alright, we will do callback this Monday and let them have the Maria-off on Tuesday and show the result, the next day." Artie says.

"Sounds great. Really perfect." Ms. Pillsburry says.

"Okay, can I go? I have to meet Sam because he is kinda...you know." I giggle.

"Yeah sure. Just make sure all the costume will be ready." Ms. Pillsburry smiles at me.

"On Monday, everything will be ready." I smile at them and take my laptop then went out from Ms. Pillsburry's office.

I put my laptop inside my ransel amd start walking in the hallways. I know that Sam must be mad at me because I got no time for him but I just want to be the best for everything especially this musical drama.

I walk in the hallways and I see Sam is standing in front of his locker and seems ready for booty camp. So I came to him and shut his locker.

"Hey..." Sam smiles at me.

"My work is done now you wanna go with me? I know you must be mad at me because I got no time for you but please I just wanna make everything perfect." I said to Sam.

"I know that. You try do your best for this musical drama and I'm trying my best for sectionals." Sam says to me and shut his locker. "You wanna come for booty camp today?"

"I dont know. Am I allowed? I meant, Mr. Schue didnt tell me that I have to." I said to Sam.

"It's up to you." Sam says as we start walking.

"Well, I guess I will join after this musical drama done. Now, I will go home and I will finish the costume for the play." I grin at him.

"It's up to you, baby." Sam smiles at me.

"Okay, I bring my car and you dont have to drive me home, so...."

"I'll call youtonight." Sam give a quick kiss on my lips.

"Okay, I'll wait for your calls." I smile at him and walk away.

I take my phone from my pocket as it's vibrating. I checked out and my best friends are asking me to meet up in Lima Bean while waiting for Finn. Sounds cool.

Finn's POV

I keep go back walking back and forth and looking at the mirror from my bathroom. I just wanna make sure that tonight I look cool.

I look at the clock and it's already 6.30pm and Madison didnt come. We usually have study together start 6pm and now where is she?

I turn my face at my window and the lamp of her room is still on. I take my phone but she didnt text me or anything. Did she fall asleep? Ugh I dont know.

I take my book from my table and went out from my room. If she didnt come to my house, I will be the one who come to her tonight.

"Finn, where are you going?" Mom asks me.

"Madison's house. Gonna study geometry with her." I said to mom and went out from my house.

I went out from the front door and walk to Madison's house. I see her dad's car and her car are outside which mean that they are home but why Madison didnt come to my house?

I knock the door and waiting outside. I cant easily enter from the backdoor but I know Mr. Collins there and it's kinda impolite.

"Is Madison home, Mr. Collins?" I ask Mr. Collins as he open the door.

"Yes, she is in her room. Just come in." Mr. Collins smiles at me.

"Thank you. Gotta study about geometry tonight." I giggle.

"Well, have fun." Mr. Collins says.

I just giggle and walk upstairs to Madison's room. I'm curious what the hell she is doing right now until she didnt come to my house when actually I was waiting for her.

"Hey..." I open the door and walk in.

"God, you must be want to study right? I have to finish these costume." Madison sighs.

She sit down on her bed and sewing some cloths manually with her hand. "Why dont use the sewing machine?" I frown and sit down in front of her.

"Because I cant lay in my bed when I'm tired." Madison giggle. "You dont bring any food for me?"

"You didnt ask. Shall I bring you one?" I raise my eyebrows.

"No, that's okay. I'm just tired." Madison groans.

"Who will play Maria?" I ask her.

"We havent decide yet." Madison simply said. "You wish it could be Rachel right?"

"No. It just Mercedes out from glee club because Mr. Schue was really pickin on her and she said that she tired with all those things as you know, only you, Artie, and Rachel who didnt join the Booty Camp. But we all know that you are Artie are busy with this musical drama. But where is Rachel?" I frown.

"That's really bad. To be honest I want Mercedes to take the part but to make it fair, we will have Maria-off." Madison says to me.

"And who plays Tony?" I ask curiously.

"Blaine but please dont tell Kurt." Madison begged.

"I wont." I shake my head and smiles at her.

"And that's Finn Hudson." Madison giggle and touch that neddle to my nose and it makes my nose little bit bleeding.

"Ouch! Be careful with that thing please." I said and cover my nose with my hand.

"I have plaster. I'm really sorry." Madison says and take a plaster from the drawer next to her bed. "Leave your hand." Madison takes my hand away then stick a plaster on my nose. "By the power of fairy nurse, Finn will get recovery!"

"You think we are playing that fairy hospital?" I chuckle.

"Yes, that's the thing we always do when one of us get sick." Madison chuckles. "Oh forget one thing." Madison says then kisses my nose.

I just being quiet. My heart beats so fast right now. I just looking at her eyes as she pull her face away from me slowly then looking at me until we start starring at each other.

I keep looking at her and push my face closer to her and close my eyes and crash her lips and kisses her. She cup my cheeks and kisses me back.

We still kissing at each other until she lay her body on the bed and I'm ontop of her and we're having a make out. I turn my face and start kissing her neck but suddenly Madison laugh so hard.

"Finn, that's ticklish!" Madison laugh out loud.

I frown and turn my face at her. "What?"

"That was really ticklish." Madison laughs.

I sit down on her bed in front of her. Did she really stupid or innocent? I was trying to make a hickey but she laugh out loud and said that was ticklish.

"I'm sorry, I dont mean to ruin our sweet best friend kisses but that was really ticklish." Madison chuckles.

"Mad, dont you think that you're kinda cheating on Sam by let me kissed you? Dont you love him? You shouldnt do that." I frown at her.

"I dont even know what love is, Finn." Madison sighs. "All I know is I guess I become more i***t after summer maybe because of spending much time starring at Eiffel Tower and Big Ben." Madison says and busy with her thing.

I cup her face and make her looking at me. "No, seriously. Do you know that you shouldnt let me kiss you or even make out with you?"

"I like your lips because it's really soft." Madison says innocently.

"Maddy, it's not about the lips. But do you realize what you did? You always let me kisses you even you took that easy by saying that's 'sweet bestfriend kisses'. Now, I ask you, do you really love Sam?" I raise my eyebrows.

"I dont know." Madison shakes her head. "I dont even know what love is. I feel like I lost all those love feelin' and after all this time I dont know what is love, Finn. I'm confused." Madison says sadly.

"I will show you what love is." I smile at her.

"How?" Madison raises her eyebrows.

"By my magic." I grin at her.

"That's not funny. I'm serious." Madison whimpered.

"Come here." I pull her hand and hug her. "I will show you what is love. I promise."

"Thank you for being my bestfriend, Finn." Madison says.

"It's okay." I keep hugging her and rubs her hair.

I will show what is love to you, Madison. Because you're worth it and I will never ever let anyone hurt you or let you go.

Madison's POV

"I'm sorry, I dont mean to ruin our sweet best friend kisses but that was really ticklish." I chuckle.

Finn just being quiet and looking at me. We were trying to have make out but the way he kissed my neck make me wanna laugh because it felt ticklish until I cant hold it.

"Mad, dont you think that you're kinda cheating on Sam by let me kissed you? Dont you love him? You shouldnt do that." Finn frown at me.

I just looking at him. I dont even know did I realy love Sam or not. I dont even know what is love.

And I really love our sweet bestfriend kisses because it always makes my heart beats so fast. Do I fall in love with him? But I dont even know what is love. I'm lost.
