Chapter 39

Nationals championship. Increasing the popularity of glee club and all the glee club members. Now everytime I walk in the hallways the cheerios just looking at me and smiles at me. No more losers. No more slushee until graduation in few days away.

I will go to New York and enter Pace University. Finn will stay in Ohio since he got into Ohio State. We will have a long distance relationship but I dont mind because I guess we can keep each other faith.

I'm just really excited with everything I'm going to pass. And if you ask me now. Well, yes maybe I'm ready to get married now since every day is like Valentines Day with Finn but no, my dad must be wont agree with that. But I dont mind since he never say no to everything I ask.

Now, just facing the truth. I only spent about a year and a half im this school but this school gave me something different that I never forget. Just like glee club. I dont wanna grow up or graduate but I have to.

Now I'm in the choir room sitting down on the piano and looking at Rachel, Artie, Kurt, Mercedes, and Tina or the first five original member singing their first song in glee club.

They ended up their moving with applauding and whooping from everyone in this classroom

"That was the most ghetto number I have ever seen." Santana says.

"Then just call me George Jefferson, because we went from the ghetto to the penthouse. National champs, baby!" Artie says proudly.

"This week's assignment is easy." Mr. Schue walks in and write 'goodbye' on the white board. I stand up from my seat and sit down next to Finn. "Graduation is just a few days away. There's nothing left to prepare for. Our work here is done, so there's only one thing left to do: Say goodbye. Underclassmen, pick some songs to say goodbye to the seniors; seniors, pick a song to say goodbye to us." Mr. Schue says to us.

"A part of me wants to lock these doors and stay in here with everyone forever." Mercedes says.

"We can use the wastebasket for the toilet, and then we could eat Joe for the food, since she's been here the shortest, so we know her the least." Brittany says.

"I really hope you're about to rap." Quinn chuckles.

"No such luck." Mr. Schue chuckles and take a guitar. "I'm leading by example here.

"That was very moving." I smile at Mr. Schue and applauding.

"Just wait until he start rapping." Santana says.

"Okay no hiphop today, Santana." Mr. Schue chuckles.

The bell rings.

We went out from the choir room together. Finn put his hand on my shoulder as we went out from the choir room together.

"Madison, we'd like to thank you." Mercedes and Sam block my way.

"For what?" I raise my eyebrows.

"The Sony Music from L.A called her and they want her to sign her as the backup singer of an indie label band." Sam grins at us.

"So which mean that I'm taking class from UCLA." Mercedes says happily.

"Oh my God. Mercedes, that's really amazing. Congratulations. If it happen to anyone else, I'd be extremely jealous even though I dont want to be a singer but that's great. Congratulations." I smile at her and hug her.

"That's amazing, Mercedes." Finn smiles at her.

"We wanted to thank you because without you that producer in LA wont call me." Mercedes smiles at me.

"As long as all my friends are happy, I'll be happy too." I smile back at her.

"I dont know what should I give to you to say thanks." Mercedes says to me.

"Just go to LA and sign that paper then bam! Back here and show us that you are the new Beyonce." I giggle.

"Once again thank you so much." Mercedes smiles at me.

"You're welcome." I smile back at her.

Mercedes and Sam just turn their way and smile at us. I let out a sigh and smile back at them and wave them a goodbye.

"Everyone here has their own future." Finn says.

"Yeah and I'm happy to see all of them happy." I nodded.

"Come on, we also can go home then cuddle and watch our favorite movie together." Finn put his hand around my shoulder as we turn our way.

"I want to watch the Notebook." I said to Finn.

"Up to you." Finn kisses my head.

I turn my face at him and smile at him. He is the best thing in my life. I just hope that no one of us break the Long Distance Relationship we will make.

Finn and I lay our body on the grass and looking at the sky from our backyard. "If you see that clearly, that stars make a love shape." I chuckle.

"In your imagination." Finn chuckles.

"Finn, I'm ready to get married." I turn my face at him.

"I already sold the ring." Finn says innocently.

"You dont have to propose me now. I just feel like everyday is our valentines day and but then we will have long distance relationship. I know you must be can keep your heart for me but I'm afraid if I lost and... I'll be the one who break our relationship." I sigh.

"You want to break up with me?"

"Of course not. I'm afraid if I lost, Finn. I'm afraid if I become busy and-and we break up. You remember when Rachel get a new job at fashion company and then she totally forget about Ross? They fighted and break up. I'm afraid." I said and sit up from the grass.

Finn sit up and sit down in front of me. I just turn my face away and let out a sigh. "Look at me." Finn cup my cheeks and make me face him. "We will get through that. We'll keep each other heart. No matter what. I love you and you love me. We are endgame, Maddy. We both know that."

"I just dont wanna break your heart or lose you once again. You're not only my boyfriend but also a bestfriend for me. I told you everything and you know that you are the second person that irreplaceable in my life after my dad." I said to Finn.

"You wont." Finn shakes his head then holds my hand. "I wont let you go. Even though we have a long distance relationship but we can get through that. I love you so much, Maddy. You're my first love and first is true. You're my one true love and its stay forever."

"I love you." I smile at him.

"I love you too." Finn smiles back at me.

I put my hands around his shoulder and smile at him. Fin put his hands on my waist and pull my body closer to him until we start kissing each other under this beautiful night sky.

"I didnt know that I can be romantic too sometimes." I chuckle.

"But I'm the most romantic one." Finn says proudly.

"I know that." I grin at him.

"We better get in before you get sick again." Finn says and stand up from his seat.

"Wanna play basketball?" I ask him.

"No because you always cheated." Finn simply said.

"No. Just admit that you always lose." I roll my eyes.

"If you ask me to play football, sure I want to." Finn says and walk into his house.

"I can play football." I said.

"Seriously?" Finn frowns at me.

"Yes. Before I moved here, I kinda had a crush on my popular senior in my former school. He was quarterback and I tried to play football so I can make him turn his face at me." I laugh.

"But you date the quarterback now." Finn chuckles.

"Yeah I got a quarterback. Wow." I chuckle.

"Yes you are. This quarterback is yours." Finn smiles at me.

I smile back at him and Finn shows me his hand. I take his hand and walk to his house then walk upstairs to his room for cuddle and watch movie together.

I'm standing in front of my locker and mark my stuff with the different colour sticky paper about the stuff I'm going to bring and I'm going to throw into the trash.

"Hey, babe." Finn standing next to my locker.

"Green for Finn." I said and stick a green paper on his forehead.

"What is this?" Finn frowns at me.

"I'm marking the stuff I'm going to bring to New York and I throw it to the trash. Red for New York and green for the trash." I giggle.

"You want to throw me to the trash?" Finn frowns at me.

"Haha just kidding. I dont have color for stuff to stay here." I chuckle.

"Yes, you dont." Finn rubs my hair. "We have glee club now. Come on." Finn says to me.

"Alright." I shut my locker and hold Finn's elbow then walk next to him to the choir room.

I just heard that Brittany isnt graduating because she flunking the test. Meanwhile the others are facing their future. Finn will go to Ohio State, Mercedes will go to UCLA, then Quinn will go to Yale, Santana git a scholarship in University of Louisvile, and Mike will go to Joffrey Ballet Dance Academy. I will go to Pace. Meanwhile Kurt and Rachel are still waiting for their NYADA letter.

Finn and I walk into the choir room. The others already there and Mr. Schue just busy with arranging some music sheets.

"Alright, the seniors, you guys something to show?" Mr. Schue turn his face at us. "Come on up!"

The seniors walk to the front. Mr. Schue sit down to the front row and smiles at us.

"And now the seniors of McKinley High School, class of 2012, are going to sing for you. This is your glee club. Take care of it. It'll take care of you." Finn says to the underclassmen.

We ended up our song with sit down on the seat and the underclassmen are standing on the front and smiling at us. It's really a time to say goodbye.

I'm standing in front of my locker and put the things I want to bring back home into a box and the other one to the trash.

"Came this morning."

I turn my face and dad standing next to my locker and give me a white envelope. I raise my eyebrows and take that letter.

"What is this, dad? I already got my Pace letter." I frown.

"I dont know. Someone knock our house door but when I open it, nobody there but only a letter and a bouquet of flowers on the ground and that flower I left at home. It wrote for you, honey." Dad says to me.

I keep looking at that letter and open it. I open that envelope and there is my baby picture inside it. "It's me when I was three right?"

"Yes, that's you. Just read the letter and come to auditorium. Someone want to meet you." Dad rubs my hair and walk off.

I take that letter and start read it. I dont know who is the sender but it just wrote that this letter was for me.

Dear, Madison.

First of all I wanna congrats you as your succeed to get into Pace University. You grow up and become the most beautiful girl I've ever seen. Actually, I'm lost of words. I just want to apologize about what I did in New York. I love you. You're my daughter. And when I saw your face and I finally found you, I feel like I dont wanna lose you anymore. Will you forgive me? I bet it's hard for you. But please give me a second chance.

How could she knows that I got into Pace? And-and after all this time after eighteen years she came to me and apologize to me? But that moment in New York was hurt and I dont know what to do.

"Hey, are you okay?" Finn frowns at me.

"I have to go!" I said to Finn and make a little run to auditorium.

I remember that dad told me someone want to meet me in the auditorium. Is she here? How could she find my address and everything?

"Dad?" I look around as I enter the auditorium. "Is Jennifer Aniston is here? You called her and bring her here?"

"Nope. She is a busy woman." Dad shakes his head as he is standing on the stage. "I want to give you a graduation present but I dont have any idea what should I give to you." Dad says and sit down on the edge of the stage.

"Dad, it's easy. Just give me another Sherri Hill dress. Done. I'll love you with all of my heart." I chuckle and sit down on a seat.

"Your love is cheap. Only 600 bucks." Dad chuckle. "No, that's not really special. I want something special that you wont forget until the rest of your life." Dad smiles at me. "Then you can tell your children like 'my dad gave me this for my graduation present'."

"You change your mind and you want to follow me to New York?" I raise my eyebrows.

"No, honey." Dad shakes his head. "Listen, when I graduate from high school, my dad gave me my first violin as my graduation present and I wont forget about that and he told me that he finally realize that I wasnt his little boy anymore." Dad says. "And I feel what he felt now. Looking at you from here and make me realize that my baby girl grow up. She will enter the college and live away from me."

"I'm just going to New York okay not another earth. Just dont make it sad." I said to dad.

"It just I feel like yesterday you were five. When you love watching cartoon in living room until it's getting late. Then I have to lift you up so you wanna go to your room and sleep but sometimes you walk back to downstairs and you turn the tv back until you fell asleep. I'm happy with everything we did together." Dad smiles at me.

"Me too, dad." I chuckle.

"And now, this is your graduation present." Dad smiles at me.

"I hope that you didnt lie about Jennifer Aniston." I said excitedly.

Dad just stand up from his seat then walk passed me and rubs my hair then walk off. I turn my face to the stage as I heard some steps walks in until my mom walks in.

"Mom?" I raise my eyebrows.

"I didnt know that Mike is really a good father." She smiles at me.

"He is the best one actually." I simply said.

"I get it." She nodded and sit down on the edge of the stage. "Because he is the one who take care of you since you were baby until now."

"I dont get it. Why are you here?" I frown. "How could you know that I got into Pace and my address? You just ran away when we met in New York. You even didnt admit that I'm your daughter."

"Honey, I'm here because I want to apologize. I went home to Manchester and I didnt know that you still come to there and meet my mom and told her everything. She showed me the last picture you both took during christmas and she told me that you really love the chocolate chips cookies she made."

"Because she knows she had a granddaughter and she loves me and never left me behind. Even though her daughter left me and my dad." I said to her.

"Listen to me, this time. I'm here to apologize. I missed you. I know I did a huge mistake and I left you when you needed me. It was the stupidest mistake that I ever did. Even though I was away, I cant stop thinking about you. Wondering what you doing, about favorite food you love, and many things. I miss you. When your grandma told me that you got into Pace University, I was really happy. I'm so proud of you, honey." She is sobbing and smiles at me.

"You missed me?" I raise my eyebrows.

"Yes I did. Since a long time ago. Honey, please I'll do anything to make you forgive me." Mom starts crying.

Tears slowly fall down to my face. I stand up from my seat and walk to her and hug her. "For my entire life, I just want to hug my mom even though it just once."

"Me too. I just wanna hug you really tight, honey." Mom hug me back.

We're hugging each other until we pull our body away. I wipe my tears away and smile at her. "Dad always told me to forgive someone because forgiving wont make you lose your pride."

"Your dad is right." She smiles at me.

"I just dont get it why you left me?" I ask her and sit down next to her.

"I was twenty six. Your dad and I dated for about four years and we lived together then you came to our lives. He was really happy until he asked me to marry him. I told him that I would give him the answer but on that night, I left you both. I was afraid. My parents divorced and I'm afraid if that thing happen to me or you. So I left besides I cant tell that to him. I'm really sorry. But I'm glad when I heard he took care of you until at this age. Since you were born, he was the one who gave you name Madison Abygail Collins. The initial just like same like his name. I know he can be a good father for you and he did." Mom half-smiled at me.

"He is the best father in the world. He would do anything to make me happy." I half-smiled.

"He will always want to do anything to make the one he loves happy." Mom nodded.

"Mom, will you back to our house?" I raise my eyebrows at her.

"I cant, honey." She shakes her head.

"Why?"

"I'm married to someone else. He is not as rich as your dad but I'm sure he can be my last. We also already have a daughter. We got married one year ago after our daughter grow up." Mom says to me. I just raise my eyebrows until she take her phone and show me a picture. "She is freshman in high school and she is really beautiful like you. You have a little sister." Mom smiles at me.

"Yeah she is." I nodded and smile back at her. "What is her name?"

"Kenisha. Kenisha Ostrofski. I just hope that she could be really smart and talented like you. Everytime I see her, it's always remind me with you and make me miss you more." Mom says to me.

"Did your husband know you went here?"

"Yeah. He was the one who told me to. We lived in NYC now and you can stay with us if you want." Mom smiles at me.

"Dad already bought me an apartment near my college. But I'll come and see that baby girl." I smile back at her.

"Speaking about your dad, did he already find someone else?"

"No. I told him to find a wife or a girlfriend but he always say no. Until we fighted and I called grandma Anne to came and everthing become worse. She blamed me with everything and dad mad then she left when we both arent home. Dad substitute me for a wife or a girlfriend." I chuckle. "Mom, will you come to my graduation day this Friday?"

"Yeah sure. We all having a vacation to Columbus and I'm sure I can come." Mom smiles at me.

"And for now, do you wanna have dinner with me in Breadstix? I can drive. I got my license and dad gave me a car." I grin at her and stand up from my seat.

"Okay. It seems like Mike gave you everything you asked." Mom chuckles.

"Yes he did." I chuckle and walk out from the auditorium with mom followed me.

My wish just came true. I got my mom back even though she cant live with me together but at least I got a someone called 'mom'.

"Where have you been yesterday? You ran away and left your stuff. I save your box in my room. I was about to meet you last night but your house seems empty." Finn frowns at me.

"I met my mom." I said to Finn.

"Your real mom? Your biological mom who left you?" Finn asks me.

"Yeah." I nodded. "We talked each other and laughed each other. My wish to meet her became true." I smile at Finn.

"I'm so happy to hear that." Finn smiles back at me. "So she back to your house?"

"No. She cant. She married to someone else and they already have a daughter. I have a half-sister." I said to Finn.

"You finally have that when you said that you dont want any step-siblings." Finn chuckles.

"Well, I'm still the only one daughter that my dad have so I'm still the number one." I chuckle. "But everything seems fine now." I smile at Finn.

"I'm happy for you." Finn smiles back at me and kisses me softly. "You should introduce me to your mom sometimes."

"I will. She lives in NYC and we will have summer there!" I grin at Finn.

"I cant wait for that." Finn grin back at me as we walk together then enter the choir room and sit down on the front row next to each other.

"Okay, seniors, the underclassmen have something they'd like to say to you." Mr. Schue smiles at us. "Come on."

The underclassmen sit down on the bench and smiling at us.

"With all the dedications being thrown around McKinley this week, there was one that we wanted to make sure didn't get missed. Finn. Right now, you're something I never thought possible when I first rolled down these halls. You're my friend- our friend. Even before Glee Club was kind of cool, you had our backs. You were on the football team. You were one of the most popular kids in school. You had a lot to lose, and people forget the sacrifices you made.

We wanted to thank you." Artie smiles at Finn.

Finn smiles back at them. I hold Finn's hand and we make our finger lock into each other and I lean my head on his shoulder.
