A Reminder
The sun shone through the canopy of leaves. As Rivleam rose from his homemade leaf trundle,Briar hopped and danced around ,clearly happy that her owner woke up.    ( fix this later )Rivleam grabbed his bow and arrow, his satchel,he whistled a sharp and high note , and started walking north. Briar quickly got the message and started walking behind him. Rivleam made his way through the familiar forest, towards the river. As soon as Briar realized where he was going, she ran ahead to get there first.By the time Rivleam caught up with her, she had already caught 2 fish,1 bird and was working on catching another fish. As usual, the Rivleam was not surprised by this. For briar was a hunting hippogryph ,and even though she was only 2 years old, she definitely served her purpose. As briar wrestled with a fish , rivleam got out his bow and arrow, notched the arrow and released.the arrow pierced through 3 fish all at once.when briar saw this, she gave him a dirty look that said “showoff”  full heartedly.this look reminded him of when he first met briar,And before he knew it he was caught in the memory. The memory Running is all he remembered, running as fast as he could jumping and dodging everything in his path. He was running past a clearing when something caught his eye.A couple of trolls was in the meadow. They were cooking something,a rock?no it was a log,he decided to stop guessing and actually use the gift he was given. The trolls were about 300 meters away, which is not very far for elven eyes.so he searched the scene .it looked like they were stone trolls, considering their height and size. they were making dinner. They are saying something. So he listened  to them.  “I can't believe you found one!” the older troll said “it was easy...dragon eggs are very easy to spot.” so that's what they were cooking ...but that's not a dragon egg…definitely not a dragon egg.but it was an egg of some sort.a kind he had never seen before. “Remember when it hatches make sure to deal with it and store the golden juice if you know what i mean.”  rivleam shuddered when he heard this.the trolls were going to harvest the poor creatures blood! Rivleam heard a cracking sound. The egg was shaking.he could sense it wouldn't be long until it was ready to hatch .It would hatch right into those horrid trolls hands.usually he would leave and get as far away as possible but ...this time ...he felt guilty just thinking about leaving the egg there. He decided to do something about it .so he notched an arrow on his bow and aimed for a rock that was far away and in a precarious position. He released and listened for the sound of impact.  The rock fell and rolled with a very loud rumble.it rolled until it hit a boulder and made a deafening bang.the trolls jumped up and grabbed their weapons. They slowly walked in the direction of the sound. As soon as they were out of the  way, rivleam jumped to the closest branch on the nearest tree. He jumped and climbed until he found the top branch. He took out his rope and tied it on an arrow. He shot the arrow to a tree next to their camp.It landed securely in the tree without a sound. He tied the other end of the rope to the tree he was on and grabbed the rope.he pulled himself up on top of it and started running.  He had always been so stealthy seeing as how he was an elf. He ran the entire way.he jumped down and went towards the egg.He gingerly grabbed the egg and fit it into his sack.He climbed the tree and paused. He heard the trolls coming back. They were not gonna be happy that he took their egg. If he left the rope there, they would see it and know something was wrong. But it was his only way back.Except for...no he wouldn't. Too risky. No.But it might be the only way. He decided to do it.He was gonna do whatever it took to get that egg to safety.Even if it meant dying doing it.
