I was shown to the guest room that night as Ace and his family refused to accept me. Luckily, I came with my bag, as the day was Saturday.
I received my breakfast, lunch, and supper in the room, as I was scared to go out and meet the family that loathed me the most.
I was scared, as I contacted my family and told them about the situation at hand. My father insisted that I continue with the marriage, while my mother said that I cannot disappoint Mr. Gideon, who believed in me.
I accepted and awaited the Monday to arrive. Since Grandpa Gideon said that the wedding would not be an elaborate one but a simple court registration, meaning not everyone in their social circle would know that I am Ace Parker's wife.
The Parker Group was a big entertainment industry in Solaris City that has a music label, movie production, and broadcasting channels on both television and social media.
Everyone in this city would have been waiting for a luxurious, glamorous wedding of Ace and me. But Ace kept it to himself and his family that I was his wife, while he continued his affair with the woman that he loves, Naomi Dominic.
Naomi was an actress, a model, with tall, sexy, blonde figure.
I wasn't up to her class, and she hated me alongside the entire family.
While I was Ace's wife at home, as he accompanied me to have our marriage registered that Monday morning. He refused to touch me that night, nor acknowledge me as his wife.
According to Ace, "This marriage is only for convenience and don't expect me to love you."
I was like a maid in my own house, and I kept hoping for a day that Ace would change and come to love me. But this previous year, his grandfather passed away, and Ace's coldness and true nature began to emerge.

Tonight, I made a lot of delicious meals and waited for Ace to return home.
He doesn't eat my meals, and he hasn't acknowledged me as his wife. But I haven't give up yet.
I wanted to file for a divorce, as I couldn't continue with him. But remembering that his grandfather had told him that if we divorced, then the company's profit would go straight to the orphanage, and I knew that Ace wouldn't accept to divorce me.
It was 9 pm on the clock. I waited in the dining room for Ace to return home, as I live in this magnificent home with him and his parents.
After our marriage, Grandpa Gideon had given us the house and told Ace it was his dream house, which he had bought.
Ace was happy and accepted it from his grandfather, but with the condition that he must live with me.
We had maids, but aside from the maids, Ace's family lived here with us: his mother, father, and two siblings.
While Ace's father was the quiet type of man, Ace's younger brother, Nicole, was very troublesome and had wanted to force himself on me once, which no one believed. So I avoided him.
As I sat at the dining chair waiting for Ace to return home. The clock ticked away, and his mother, Noelle, came downstairs wearing a black nightdress as she walked up to the dining table to meet me.
At the same time, Emery Parker, a 26-year-old blonde woman, walked downstairs to meet us. She was Ace's young sister.
"What's this delicious aroma all about? Did you prepare something special for us?" Emery asked me mockingly, as she came downstairs to meet me alongside her mother.
"Good evening, Ma. I made the dinner for Ace and me to celebrate our second wedding anniversary," I told Noelle, and daughter who approached me at the elegant golden dining table that was filled with different local meals that I had made.
I made a pot of local soup and pondered yam to accompany it. The delicious aroma, filled the entire living room.
"Which stupid wedding anniversary?!" Noelle snapped.
"Do you put a charm in this meal so that my son will marry you and get to sleep with you, after you have charmed and killed his grandfather to accept you as his granddaughter-inlaw?" Noelle asked me angrily, as she marched up to the dining table to meet me.
She grabbed the tray of food that I had suffered to cook and threw them away on the floor.
"No!!!" I gasped, tears welling up in my eyes. "How could you do that? Today... is... my... second wedding anniversary with your son," I told Noelle, my voice shaking, but she approached me, as she was a tall woman.
Noelle then smacked me very hard across my left cheek and spat viciously, "I see you have grown some horns and cannot understand that you are not welcomed here. Neither will you be my son's wife. You are a nobody, and you have no place in our family!"
She grabbed my hair tightly, and pulled me closer to her face. I tried to free her hand away from my head, as I felt my scalp burning.
"Let me go!" I cried, struggling to break free from her assault. This was not the first time Noelle was assaulting me in my husband's house.
"Look at her. Stupid bìtch! You have been eating our money and adding a lot of useless weight, and you think that Ace will fall for your sham," Noelle yelled. "You will remain here and grow old with us, and Ace will marry Naomi and get her pregnant while you remain here as our servant!"
Noelle spat on my face, and my anger flared.
"Let me go!" I pushed her hands forcibly away from my head, and she staggered, nearly losing her balance while I rushed to catch her back.
However, Noelle grasped my nightdress and yelled, "You witch! Do you want to kill me?" She slapped my face and started smacking me mercilessly.
