No questions..

Melanie's POV

"Why must it be in three days time ?" I asked with a frown on my face,

He ignored my question and sat on a cut tree while inhaling the fresh air coming from the surrounding.

I frowned at him and stood in front of him with my arms folded on my chest.

"Why are you going there in three days ?" I asked while staring at him with a frown on my face.

He chuckled softly and stared at me with a quizzical look.

"If you know who you are talking to, you will be on your knees talking to me" he muttered out those words in a cold rough voice that I haven't heard him used on me.

Hearing those words from him, I became scared and gulped nervously.

He was right, he looks like someone who was important and here I was trying his patient.

"I'm sorry ". I murmured

He stared at me like he was trying to read through me before looking away.

"you are a maid in the palace?" He did not say those words as a question, rather he muttered out those words like he was so sure of it.

I hissed and look away,

"So you are a maid ?".he spoke firmly

"I'm no longer a maid ". I murmured in irritation,

Why will everyone keeps saying this to me.

"You act like a maid, but you don't look like one".he said those words while staring at me with his blue set of eyes that I find fascinating and alluring.

I did not say a word, rather I look for a spot and sat far from me.

We sat there in silence and none of us said a word.

I was scared of saying anything to him because of the word he said to me .it's better I stay calm than provoke him and land myself in serious trouble.

"I was in juje village four days ago, I just camped here with my servants yesterday and was out for a stroll when I saw you laying lifeless on the ground close to the boundary of that village, I wanted to leave you there, but then I thought it will be risky for you ".he spoke firmly

I nod my head but did not say a word.

We sat there in silence and I could notice his constant gaze on me,but I nervously look away.

"I like it when you are a bit noisy".he muttered out those words like he wasn't talking to me.

"I don't like your quietness".he spoke in a serious tune.

I stared at him but did not say a word,

I heard him hissed for a while before he stood up from the tree and started walking away.

I sat down and refused going back with him, maybe I can find my way on my own.

He took a few steps before he turns and stared at me with his hands at his back.

I took a better look at him and realized he looks like royalty himself.

His looks, his footsteps and his body structure, every thing screams royalty and power.

He stared at me and took a few steps forward to me and stood before me

"Aren't you coming back to the camp, it's getting dark ".he asked in a low tune, but I noticed power and authority in it, but I wouldn't let it scares me.

"I will be going on my own from here, thanks for your help ". I responded without looking at him.

He stared at me for a while like he wanted to say something, but he didn't, rather he steps away from me and walked away.

I stared at him walk away until he was out of my sight.

I took in a deep breath and stared around, I have no idea where I am and where to start from.

I stood up with shaking legs and started walking around with no direction in mind.

I look around and realized I can't find my way from the bush and the only way was to stay here for the three days and go back to the village with him.

I followed the direction he took and hasten my footsteps, so I could meet with him.

I walk for few miles until I located the camp, I hissed in relief and walk into the camp.

I saw maids and guards who look like warrior staring at me, but none said a word to me.

I walk up to a guard and asked where their leader was, but he didn't say a word rather he stared at me with curiosity like I was from a different planet.

I hissed softly and went back to the hut I was, I got in and saw him seated on the bed.

He met eyes with me, but I saw no reaction on his face, it felt like he knew I would be back.

"Are you hungry?" He asked,

"I'm not a glutton". I murmured and sat on the chair,

He chuckled softly and took a bite of his apple.

"Who are you ?" I asked in curiosity.

"I'm a human just like you ".

I roll my eyes at him before speaking up

"I can see that ". I murmured

"Then why do you keep asking me this question ".he muttered out those words like he was tired of those questions.

I stared at him and realized there was no need of me asking who he was because I knew I won't get answers from him.

"What are you doing here " I asked while staring around,

"What is wrong with this place ?" He asked while taking a bite of the apple.

I stared at him and noticed it was obvious he wouldn't answer any of my questions, so there was no need of asking him.

"So you will leave in three days?" I asked

"That's correct".he replied firmly

"Can I wait here and go back with you, I don't seem to know my way back ". I spoke almost like a plead

He took a bite of his apple and stared at me with a questioning look before getting up from the bed made with wood.

He walks up to the entrance of the hut and turn back at me before speaking up

"You can follow me back to your village but no questions".he muttered out those words with a serious voice like he really meant it.

I swallowed nervously and nod my head in agreement.

"Very well then have some rest ".he said those words and left the hut.

"What are you doing?" I whispered to myself

I was going to live with strangers in a middle of nowhere .
