Melanie's POV
"Xoa". I scream his name but got no response from him,
I felt my heart pounding in fear and I couldn't breathe anymore.
I was about going out from the water when I felt a tap on my shoulder.
Quickly I turn around out of fear and realized it was xoa smiling at me.
I took in a deep breath and calm myself.
"Where were you ". I asked in anger
"I was around just that you didn't look properly".he spoke nonchalantly.
"You were playing tricks on me ". I yelled in anger.
"I almost lost my mind within some seconds,, and you think this is funny ". I said those words in anger and was about leaving the water when he pulled me back to himself,
"Let go of me ". I yelled in anger,
"Stay calm ". Those words came as an order,
hearing those words from him, I couldn't say or do anything, but I was still angry at him.
"I wasn't playing tricks on you, I was just taken unaware ".he muttered out those words while staring into my eyes.
"Let go of me "I muttered out uncomfortably,
He stared at me one more time before letting go of me.
I moved away from him and swim at the other side of the water.
We stayed in the water and none of us said a word until I spoke up,
"I think I would like to go back to the hut ".
"Alright". I did not let those words finish from his mouth before I Walk out of the water with my back to him, so he could wear his clothes.
He put on his clothes and stood by my side
"Let's go ".he spoke up
I followed him and we both walk back to the hut.
Throughout our walk back to the hut, we didn't say a word to each other.
I was angry at his behavior, I almost lost my mind in fear just because of his stupid prank.
We got to the camp and I quickly went back to my hut.
I was in my hut when I heard a knock
"Come in ".
A maid came in and smiled at me,
"He asked for you to join him for dinner ".
"I'm not coming ". I murmured
"Why?" She asked,
"Because I don't want to ". I spoke firmly
She stared at me for a while before leaving my hut.
In a few minutes, I heard footsteps at the door, and noticed someone was coming into my hut.
"Why don't you want to join me". I saw xoa at the door.
I roll my eyes at him and looked away.
He hissed and came inside while staring at me with a curious look.
"Are you still angry with me ?" He asked,
"No ". I lied.
He roughly ran his fingers through his hair before speaking up,
"It won't happen again, can you join me now ?" He asked
"No ". I spoke firmly,
"What must I do ?" He asked
"Nothing, I just don't want to share a table with you" I murmured
"You know no one has ever spoken to me in such a way " he muttered out those words in a serious tune.
Melanie's POV
Hearing those words from him, I swallowed nervously and look away.
He roughly ran his fingers through his head and I could see him staring at me.
"Join me to dinner".he spoke firmly
I wanted to reject it, but then I was under his protection and I need to be in his good book.
I stood up from the bed and stood before him,
He led the way out of the hut.
We left the hut and passed three huts before we got to a hut which looks just like my hut but a bit bigger.
"Come in ".he entered the hut and I joined him.
I went inside the hut and noticed different dishes displayed on the table
"Sit".he ordered
Quickly I sat on the chair
He smiled at me and took the seat opposite me.
"Eat ".he demanded
I took a plate and put some food in it and started eating.
We ate in silence until he spoke up,
"I shouldn't have reacted the way I did".he said those words while staring at me.
I ignored his words and kept on eating,
He hissed and went on eating.
We eat for a while and none of us said a word until we were through.
"Thanks ". I murmured and stood up from the chair.
"Wait ".he stood up from the chair and walk up to me
"I have something to give to you ".he muttered out those words and open his hand to me,
I stared at his hand and noticed he was holding a beautiful bracelet and the color was shining even when the room was a bit dark
"Why are you getting me this ". I murmured
He ignored my question and took my hand and put the bracelet in my hand.
"It for what happened earlier today, I didn't play pranks on you, I was just taken unaware".he muttered out those words seriously
I stared at him and noticed he was being sincere.
"I stared at the bracelet and noticed it was indeed beautiful.
"Thanks ". I murmured
"I'm glad you like it ".he flashed me a big smile that made my heart beat increased.
I lock eyes with him and realized I was intoxicated by his gaze,
I swallowed nervously and look away
"I need to go ". I murmured and tried moving away,, but he held me back.
I stared at him shocked and confused,
"Stay with me ".he spoke almost like a plead.
I stared at him and did not know what to say,
I nod my head and took a seat.
He smiled at me before taking the seat opposite me.
We sat there and none of us said a thing before he spoke up,
"Tell me about yourself". He demanded,
"There is nothing to tell about". I murmured
He stood up from the chair and brought out a wine from the table and place a cup before me before sitting down
"Tell me how you got pregnant ".he said those words while staring at me
"Why don't you tell me who you are". I asked while staring back at him.
