For the past few months, the emperor has been showing me love and care. He always accompany me to the water fall .but I know all this will be over in a month time, he is just showing this love and care because of his baby in my stomach .once I put to birth he will take this child and drive me away

"I might no longer be here in a month time "I told soli
"The king might change his mind "it's obvious he likes you now, with the way he cares for you " soli said
"Don't be ridiculous soli" he is just showing me this amount of care because of his baby
"I doubt it "soli replied ..he cares a lot for you "
"I have a request to ask from you soli "
"What is it " she asked
"Promise me, you will take care of this child like your own, I might not be here to take care of him or her, but I'm sure I have you here to help "
Soli took my hand and promise to take care of the child
I told her not to let anyone in .that I wasn't in a good mood to receive guests
Emperor Kia POV
"What do you mean she doesn't want to see anyone"I asked soli, after she told me Melanie wishes to see no one
"She said she wasn't in a good mood"
"And why is that "I ask
"She is sad about Leaving in a month time " soli replied
Indeed, I haven't thought about it, I told her when we got married that she will leave once the baby is born, and since then, we haven't discussed that issue.
I don't think I will be able to let her go .not now that I'm so attached to her, I wish to see her everyday, not just because she carries my baby but because I want to be with her .but does she feels the same .will she stay here with me and our baby .this is a question only melanin can answer
Melanie POV
I'm in the last month of my pregnancy. I might put to birth in a few days from now .the kingdom and palace have already started preparing for the birth of this baby. the emperor has been smiling and welcome guest for the past few days.
On the other hand, I'm scared after I heard what the mid-wife told me .she told me I might have little complication in pushing out the baby because my Virginia was too tight for childbirth. I told her not to inform the emperor or else he would be worried . I will have to deliver this child even if it cost me my life.
Emperor Kai POV
"My lord "queen Melanie is in labor "one of the maids rushed to me
I quickly rushed out of my chambers and made my way to her room, the door was locked, I could only hear Melanie scream and shout.it's been an hour now and still no news from those inside, what could be the problem
The mid-wife rushed to me and told me Melanie was finding it difficult to push out the baby, and it might cause some complications.
"Why didn't you discover this earlier" I asked
"She made me promise not to tell you " she replied
And with that, she ran back inside the room . For the first time in a long time I was really scared, what if something goes wrong and she and the baby doesn't make it.
Melanie POV
After four hours of trying to push out my baby
I began losing all the strength in me
"I think I might not make it"
"Don't you dare say that "soli shouted at me with all the tears in her eyes
"Get me the king "I demanded
The emperor came in with tears in his eyes
"Sorry my king, I might not make it "I told him in between tears
"You are a strong woman Melanie "you can do this, I need you, our baby needs you "
I could see the fear and concern in his eyes .he was scared not just for the baby but for me .he took my hands and kissed it.
"Don't leave me Melanie "I don't think I will be able to survive this without you"
At that moment, I felt a sharp pain on my waist .the mid-wife sent the king away
I started pushing with all the strength in me .the king said he needs me and I shouldn't leave him, and I'm going to fulfills that no matter what

I began pushing until I heard the cry of my baby
"It's a prince " soli shouted amidst tears
She ran out to inform the emperor
Emperor Kai POV
"It's a prince my king " soli shouted
"What did you say " I asked her
"Melanie has given you an heir "my king
"Where is she “how is she " that was the first thing that came to my mind
" She is fine and healthy" and wishes to see you "
I ran to her room, where I found her holding our baby with so much smile on her face . I went to her and kissed her forehead.
"He got your eyes" she said while smiling
"And I think he got your smile "I told her
She just smile and hand over our child to me
"He's all yours " she said
And I understood what she was saying.but no, I'm not letting her leave me, not when I love her this much
"No he is ours "I told her
She looks up to me with shock in her eyes
"I know the circumstances that brought us together wasn't planned or pleasant, but I have fallen in love with you Melanie, and I want to raise this child with you
"Please Melanie, please be my queen
"We might not remember all that happen that night .but I know will start making memories we will live to remember "

"Never knew things could end up like this, "she said with tears in her eyes.
