Chapter 11

Zakhar's POV Silence. The moment those words left my mouth, I was met with silence. Different emotions flickered through her silver-gray eyes. She looked at me as if she was trying to decide whether she should be scared out of her mind or insulted by the fact that I had threatened her. For the first time since I had met her, she had nothing smart to say. She just stared at me. “You can leave now,” I said, returning to work. “Oh, so now you're in kidnapper mode.” She scowled. “I didn't kidnap you. I gave you a job,” I said, keeping my eyes on my work. She glared at me for a few seconds before scoffing. “I don't have any of my clothes with me.” I looked up at her and scanned her from head to toe, taking in the sight of her wearing my clothes. They were obviously far too big for her, but something about seeing her in them stirred something in me. I quickly pulled my gaze away and cleared my throat. What the hell was I doing? I leaned back in my chair and forced my attention back to the papers on my desk. “That will be taken care of.” “I can't find my phone.” “I'll get you a new one.” I waited for her to say more, but she let out a frustrated sigh and said, “You know what? Forget it.” I watched her stomp out of the study, the sound of her footsteps fading down the hallway. For a few minutes, I tried to focus, but I just couldn't. I needed a distraction. Pulling out my phone, I texted Tamara, telling her to come over tomorrow. She replied almost immediately, saying she’d been waiting for me and couldn't wait to see me. I tossed my phone onto my desk and leaned back in my chair. I took off my glasses and rubbed my forehead. Today was a whole lot of drama, and it was all because one particular headache of a woman. Suddenly, the door flew open, revealing Ilya and Kirill. I groaned. What do they want now? “Heyyy, big bro. Whatcha doin over there?” Ilya asked as he walked over to me, while Kirill closed the door behind him and headed to the couch. “What do you want?” I frowned. “Someone's in a bad mood.” I gave him a look and Kirill chuckled at that. “What are you two doing here?” I asked. I turned to Kirill. “Aren't you supposed to be home with your wife? I wonder what Audrey would do if I sent her a quick text telling her that her darling husband is still out. With another woman,” I said with a smirk. He shot up from the couch. “You wouldn't dare.” He glared at me. “Oh, but I would,” I said as I unlocked my phone and opened Audrey's chat. “Oh s**t, he's actually doing it. You are so screwed, man,” Ilya said, stretching his neck to get a look at my phone. I heard the door slam shut, followed by a string of curses. Ilya laughed. “And what are you still doing here?” I asked, raising an eyebrow at him. “Kirill told me all about the whole situation with Maya, and I wanted to ask you about it myself.” “And?” “Oh, come on, just tell me. Is it true that she came out all bloody?” he asked like a dog sniffing around for a bone. “Go to bed.” I sighed. “Ha, so it's true. I think I've found myself a new best friend,” he said with a grin. “Get. Out.” “Good night, love ya.” He flashed me a grin, then turned toward the door and left. I sighed as I stared at the door. One madness after another. The next morning, I was already in my study before most of the house was awake. I didn't even bother with breakfast. I stayed at my desk, buried in work, trying to catch up on everything that had been pushed aside because of yesterday's chaos. Hours passed without me noticing. By the afternoon, I asked Anna to send Maya to my study. When the door opened, I thought it was her, but Tamara stood there instead, a sultry smile on her face and dressed in an outfit that was clearly meant to get attention. Specifically, mine. I completely forgot that I’d texted her. “Hi, stranger,” she purred. Tamara and I had known each other since we were kids. I was a few years older than her, but our families had been business partners for years, and hers also had ties to the Bratva. Not as strong as mine, but nevertheless important. We hooked up once in a while, nothing serious. Just s*x. I gestured for her to come closer, and she happily obliged. “On your knees.” She obeyed and started to undo my pants, until my c*ck sprung free. This wasn't our first time doing this, so she knew what to do. I leaned my head back against my seat as she wrapped her lips around my non reactive d**k. She slurped and slurped, but I felt nothing. In the middle of it, the door swung open. A wide-eyed Maya stood there, staring at us and suddenly, my d**k became overly sensitive and twitched in Tamara's mouth. Fuck.
