“VALENTINA!” I screamed out as I ran towards her. I halted in place as I saw her inch closer to the ledge of the roof, looking to jump. “Valentina look at me!” I pleaded out, hearing her cries lessen before she turned her shaky body around and looked at me. Her beautiful hazel eyes were red and rimmed with tears as she looked down at me. There was so much pain evident in her eyes that I didn’t know what to do to help her. “Valentina, come down so we can talk about this. What’s wrong? Talk to me baby, tell me what’s wrong.” I rambled, itching to wrap my arms around her waist and pull her back down to safety. But I knew if I made a move to grab her, she would just jump instead. In this moment, she looked like she had nothing to live for, which hurt me to my core. Did she not love me
