I walked down the hall, hearing Valentina’s screams. I took off running until I was entering Valentina’s room. Nurses were holding her down as they restrained her to the bed by her wrists.
“What the f**k are you doing?!” I yelled out as I rushed over to Valentina. She was crying and screaming as she thrashed around in the bed, trying to free herself.
“She has to be restrained!” One of the nurses yelled back. “She’s a threat to herself and others.”
“LET ME GO!” Valentina screamed as she kicked her legs out, hitting one of the nurses. “I DON’T WANT TO BE HERE!”
“We have to sedate her!” I watched as one of the nurses loaded a syringe.
“NO! DON’T TOUCH ME!” Valentina screamed.
“Stop touching her!” I demanded, “Just back away and give her a minute to calm down.”
