AMBIGUOUS VISIT
Walking through the door of the small concrete building, feigning confidence, Bella approached the buxom receptionist at Claudia’s private clinic in Newport. “Hi, Jenny. I’d like to see Claudia.”
The receptionist smiled. “Hey, Bella. It’s good to see you again.”
“You too,” Bella said.
“I heard you started your own practice. How’s it going?”
“Slowly. Getting a few regular clients, but it’s still new.”
“Well, good luck.” She beamed again. “I’ll get Claudia for you. Take a seat.”
