VANDALISM
Early Monday morning, the late October sunlight, soft and warm against Bella’s cheek put a smile on her face as she took a short stroll in the park before work. The first intense rays of the day, a symbol of summer to come in the month after next. Looking up at the sky at the few white puffy clouds that created flowing patterns of white high above, Bella loosely clasped her fingers against her stomach and walked with slack, relaxed muscles. Her gaze wandered as she took in her surroundings with overhanging trees, low-growing shrubbery, and the reflection of them in the river. Smiling to herself, she breathed in the scents of wood, freshly cut grass, and greenery.
