Chapter 28: The Burning BeginsDickon was with his father and brother out on the prairie checking the number of cattle. They'd packed up the breakfast things and made one last swing close to the Bergman Mountains before heading home. They wondered why the cattle had been restless and lowing and they kept checking the sky for a twister, but the air wasn't heavy. The dark clouds were closing in from over the Sindra Ocean and they pushed their horses just a bit faster.
