A Quiet Place

It is so cruel at how things turned out to another position fir the orphanage. Everybody was mourning and now the happy mood of the children was no longer the same since the person they both knew to be their parent all along is now gone. Apart from their biological parents whom they never knew at all, most of the children in the orphanage knew only father Edward because he gave them too much care and love at the samr time. He was like a full package of humanity a child would need so as to have a good childhood care and experience. They never imagined this is how their long journey with father Edward could end at all and so it affected them emotionally and it was a big blow in their lives that came unexpectedly. All the research anf qn autopsy was performed on his body and it came out open that he had allegedly committed suucide to end the emotional and disturbing issues he was going through. His ex wife came to learn of this and showed up at the scene the next day.

She had to participate in the burial arrangements since everything happened so fast yet it was all sad.

On the other side Brian tried contacting Esther several times without any success in all the calls he was making since the situation at the orphanage was very critical hnce Esther did not bother to have a look at a her phone till the next day when she was a little calm. Brian has no idea of what is going on but he decides to call father Edward's telephone which is also out of service at the moment

Esther now feels brocken at the moment and is now at a very tempting condition. She was now temporarily or maybe currently the one incharge of everything at the orphanage since everybody was looking up on her.

It was now twenty four hours since father Edward's passing and a lot of people were filling the orphanage to come and see for themselves of what had happened. Most of the visitors were his fellow leaders and some were his family. They had to deal with his burial so as to give him a proper and a descent send of. His ex-wife was the one that was in charge of everything and she was seen occasionally clearing up his belongings and every single thing he owned at the orphanage. The leaders from father Edward previous church came to learn of this information and were not pleased as they got it even though he would not have been forgiven for his marital sin, he should never had committed suicide at all.

Brian was sitting at his couch listening the evening news when he had father Edward's name being mentioned he is also shocked with the news and without any second thought he decides to go to the orphanage even though it was getting tough. He knew that Esther was now facing a hard time and without delaying he had to take advantage of the situation. He is only putting a vest on and some short and he hurriedly heads to his bedroom and putsbon some clothes on him

He is in such a hurry that he almost forgets putting of his TV. He locks his door and runs down the stairs and passes the old woman who likes staying their with no good reason.

"Careful their son, its too late for you to jumping out now" she says as she tries to stand up on her feet.

"I have to auntie, see you later" Brian says as he closes the door behind him. He runs and borrows the cab again and drives all the way to the orphanage.

As Esther helps in feeding the children, Brian is on his way to the orphanage. No gets to eat well and some of them are even missing in the dining room. Esther also find it difficult to eat and since she has not gotten any rest since all these begun she decides to go to her room at least to lie down so as to get away from everything. She walks slowly to her room and passes several people moving up and down. The orphanage had never been that crowded and due to the crowding and all the confusion Esther saw herself to be invisible and thought this was the perfect time she could rest since almost everything was in control.

"Am sorry for the loss Esther" she hears a voice from behind her and turns to look. She sees Brian standing behind her, she pauses for a moment as Brian walks slowly towards her. He stands next to her and he realises some tears in her eyes ,he hugs her and lets her rest on his chest. Esther feels so comfortable and relieved since she at least has gotten a shoulder to lean on. She has been feeling lonely at the moment and for once she feels like she is in the safest hands so far. Brian holds her while trying to comfort her and encourage her. She seemed not to have any intentions of letting him go and this was becoming more fun for Brian even though he was also affected by father Edward's death, he saw it as a greatest chance for him to bond and to get even closer with Esther. He decided he was going to spend the night at the place.

"Let me walk you to your room Esther, you look wo tired and i think you should have some rest if you don't mind" he tells her and offers to eacort her to her room. They walk for a while without saying anything. They reach at Esther's room and she gets in.

"Have some rest sister, i wiil be spending the night here and see how things are going on and give some help where necessary" Esther gets in and looks at him.

"Brian" she calls him before he could lock the door. "Thank you for coming".
