CHAPTER FIVE: The One That Got Away

1024 Words
The sound of her phone ringing woke Eva from what had to be the most peaceful sleep she had ever had. She reached for her phone blindly and put it to her ears. "Hello?", She called groggily, wanting nothing more than to be left alone. "Oh God, Eva?!?", Steph called. Eva's eyes immediately flew open as she realized who it was that was calling. "Steph??! Where have you been?", She asked, her voice shaking as she was almost in tears, suddenly remembering how she had been sure that she had been left behind again. "Oh babes, my manager took my phone yesterday and I had hoped you would wait for me at the club but when I finished I couldn't find you", Steph explained, sounding extremely remorseful. Eva sighed, that couldn't have been helped, especially when she had run off to have crazy s*x with a total stranger. Jesus, Eva was suddenly completely awake as she remembered that she had indeed had s*x with a complete stranger last night. She slowly turned to look at him to find him peacefully asleep. One look at his plump lips and she had a flash of last night and how she had been bouncing up and down on his d**k and she coloured embarrassed, it was like someone had drugged her because in all her years of having s*x with Jake, she had never acted that crazy or enjoyed it half as much. And truthfully, she didn't even regret it. "Where are you now?", Steph asked, breaking into Eva's sweet memories of last night. "You wouldn't believe it if I told you", Eva said with a smirk as she got out of the bed and began to quietly pick out her clothes so as not to wake him up. "Try me", Steph whispered excitedly. "When I didn't find you and couldn't find where I parked, I found this guy that was exactly my type and I followed him to a hotel and fxcked him!", She told Steph, extremely proud of herself, giggling under her breath. Steph burst into laughter, shocked that Eva of all people could do that. "What?!? You bad girl!", She teased. Eva simply laughed. "It was an in the moment thing and it made me wish I was more spontaneous", Eva told Steph. "I'm assuming you don't know where you are", Steph said, still chuckling. Eva sighed as she realized yet another stupid mistake. "You are right, I have no idea", She answered. "Okay, easy. Just come out of the hotel, take a cab to Daddy's playhouse and call me when you're there, I'll come get you", Steph said. "Thanks Steph", Eva whispered, and ended the call. She took one last look at the man that lay on the bed and smiled, unable to believe that she had finally done something wild for once in her life. Feeling like her outfit wasn't complete, she picked up his suit jacket, put it on and silently left the hotel room. ************************************ Ethan Owens opened his eyes and immediately shut them when sunlight poured in to them. He opened them again, slowly this time and snapped his fingers so the motion controlled curtains would close. Satisfied, he sat up in bed and looked at the clock next to the bed. It was almost noon, this was a first for him as Ethan had slept and even when he did, it was usually for just a couple of hours. He looked to the side of the huge bed expecting to find the woman he had spent the night with but was met with an empty bed. "Hello", He called out. The hotel room was quite big and he thought she might be anywhere. Ethan got on his feet after he got no response and walked to the bathroom to take a look inside. At this point, it began to dawn on him that she might have left. This was a relatively new concept to Ethan, he was the one that left while the women slept, not the other way around. He hurriedly pulled up his pants and checked for his Richard Mille wristwatch, his rings and his cufflinks that were all diamonds but found that they were all intact. He immediately picked up his phone, Calling his driver and the hotel manager up to his room. "Sir, you called for me?", The manager asked. "I spent the night with a woman and she disappeared before I woke up, could you check the CCTV if there's any way to find her?", He asked. The manager who also happened to be a friend burst into laughter while Ethan watched him with a glare, if he wasn't his friend, he would have fired him on the spot. "Let me guess this right, you had a one night stand but this time around, you were the one that got left behind? Not the other way around?", He asked as he continued his laughter. Ethan had to send him away as he seemed useless. His driver arrived and Ethan immediately asked him if he could find any traces of the woman from last night. Dean immediately went on alert. "What did she take sir? Do you remember everything she took?", He asked. Ethan blinked. "Did I mention that she took anything from me? I only asked you to find her", Ethan said. Dean was confused, why was Ethan searching for the woman when she took nothing from him. "Okay sir, what's her name?", He asked, intending to start the search from there. Ethan realized at that moment that he had only called her Princess. She hadn't asked for his name and he hadn't either and yet, it had felt like they had known each other for a long time. Ethan began to laugh as he dismissed Dean who was sure that his boss was mental. Ethan had never been the type to believe in love, or something as stupid as love at first sight yet he knew that he loved that woman. He didn't know why or how, he just knew that he did and he wouldn't rest till he found her again.
