After a filling traditional Mexican meal, they headed back to Leon’s home in Mesa. Layla was suspiciously quiet during the ride home. She had noticed that Leon checked his cellphone several times during the meal and that he was distracted. He even wanted to dismiss himself from the table, but Layla insisted that he stay with her and that he focus his attention on her rather than others. She explained that she deserved it.
