Earlier, Layla had a continental breakfast al fresco by herself in a cafe overlooking La Jolla Shores. After seeing the spectacular views from her table, she decided that she would change her plans from shopping to walking along the beach. Feeling the crisp, ocean between her toes when she tested the waters, Layla realized that it was a smart decision.
The waves crashed mightily onto the beach. As she walked casually with no real sense of purpose on the soft sand, Layla could see cliffs far in the distance just north of La Jolla Cove.
